- This time out at THE PEOPLES TRACK aka Yello Belly drag strip in Grand Prairie Texas... We finally have all the pieces in place to bring our budget turbo Yukon xl project "Uncle Rob" out to race! The stock 4l60e transmission is on borrowed time and we don't care. We line up with Parts Truck Troy and Candyman Baylor in the ZL1. Rashard Higgins and Malik Jefferson decided to bring their Jeep Trackhawks out to the peoples track with us and facilitate some non racing related side bets/other nonsense. Big dawg, the track will always be there. When they say it’s a life style, it is. I had to leave for 20 years, but made it back. Stay enthused even while waiting on life. When ya come back, like me, it will be different and better...and worse. Went from crew on top fuel at 20yrs old, to 40 and in drift cars. 😁

@@montevallomustang I look around and see 20 somethings everywhere. After your own personal trek through life as you have, you come to the track on your own and it has meaning. I’m able to shut off life and look at folks with what they got and enjoy it.....as opposed to 10 buddies busting knuckles all day to see two runs and load up and go home. I’ve got no friends no girl, 2 dogs.........and three race cars😍.....that nobody will help me with. Hey.....that’s race cars. Love em and break your heart.....but it’s life long journey. Gotta Chang my own drift tires.😭

Dude, my friends and I tried coming up there Friday night and had NO IDEA they were going to be closed! We were bummed to say the least.
Not sure why they closed that day. But the track has flooding issues in some parts. So if the day before race day it rains hard they close the next day.

I know this video is a year old but if you enable the Tow mode with the button on the shifter it will make the transmission shift faster, harder, and will keep it in lower gears longer for more power and torque which might help it get up and go
