Rain water harvesting is a technique to protect rain water. The rain water, which otherwise wasted is collected in wells or borewells from the roof of our house. Here we show how we installed this project. It helps to increase the ground water level. It has 2 filters to prevent trash going into well. ನಾವು ಈ ತರ ಮಳೆ ಕೊಯ್ಲು ಮಾಡಿ 18 ವರ್ಷಗಳೇ ಆಗಿವೆ ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಫಿಲ್ಟರ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ ಫಿಲ್ಟರ್ ಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಆಗುತ್ತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತೆ ಒಂದು ಮೆಸೇಜ್ ಹಾಕಿ ನಮಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ನಿಂದ ಮೇ 15ರ ತನಕ ನೀರು ಸಿಕ್ತದೆ ಆನಂತರ ಮಾತ್ರ ನೀರು ಇರೋದಿಲ್ಲ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಈ ಪ್ರಾಬ್ಲಮ್ ನಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಈ ಮಳೆ ಕೊಯ್ಲು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು
actually after the first or second rain...no need of fliter....or else you can make it yourself by ..take one 500lt..fill the half of the tank both small and medium size stones in two layers..thats it

ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಅಂಶ ಇರುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಫಿಲ್ಟರ್ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು?
ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಗದ್ದೆ ಬದಿಯ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇದೆ
Good idea, before discharging the water to well, please collect the sample and carryout test in the laboratory like pH (if less than 5 acidic), Conductivity, TDS, and for trace metals like Iron, Chrome, Zinc, Manganese, Nickel, etc. If there are highway nearby the pollutants will mixup in the air if wind is flowing in the direction of your home.
Don't discharge the first rain of the season into the well.
Use activated charcoal (Ijilu kannada) in the filtration unit.
The first flush from the roof should be discharged to the ground. Because this will have dust and impurities present in the roof or bird drops.
If the rain water is acidic (pH less than 5) and roof is metallic, than there is a possibility of metal leaching in to the water. So don't use old metal roofs.
Mangalore tiles, Cement roof, RCC roofs are good. But requires regular cleaning.

ನಾನೂ ಇದೇ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನಾನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಕೊಯ್ಲು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಕಳೆದಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ. ಆದರೆ ಒಂದು filter ನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು
@sandhyajayakumar3221 First you need to include Tee joint, one branch going to tank (example Sintex type or concrete tank ) and another branch going to drain (to flush first rain water). First branch going to tank, the large size impurities will settle down in the tank. This should be allowed for some time. A filter mesh can be added before tank. Activated charcoal unit can be added after tank to adsorb micro impurities. A final filter can be added before discharging to the well or borewell or underground. But water quality analysis (from lab)is important to ensure harvested water is metal and chemical free. You can get drawing from approved websites.

Que dicen los Gemelos CZcamsres, una excelente idea la de captar agua lluvia para infiltrar las natas subterráneas, una recomendación saludable, hay que tratar esa agua antes de depositarla en el pozo ya que contaminaría la fuente subterráneas, las cubiertas (techos) es una zona muy contaminada por diferentes detritus de diferentes animales (aves, roedores, gatunos entre otros) debieran al menos construir un filtro lento (arena fina, gruesa; piedra de rio o canto rodado, carbón activado o biochar), los filtros de tela no inmovilizan ni atrapan los parásitos, microbios y bacterias. Ojo ello puede generalizar un cruce de enfermedades parasitarias con graves consecuencias para la salud. Un abrazo para todos, saludo, cuídense.
