  • At the end of 2013 we got our hands on a Candy Ruby Red Sandcast Honda CB750 from Vic at worldmotorcycles.com. He's one damn good craftsman so we decided to try to get our hands on another Sandcast from him: a Candy Blue-Green one. This one has an even lower frame number than the first one with the accompanying differences: number 742 (things they quickly changed to make it run better and safer...). Regardless, the bike looks stunning.
It was delivered by sea freight and after quite a lengthy customs process it has finally arrived. We've included the video of the start-up by Vic, the rest is our take on unboxing videos for something a bit more interesting than electronics. We should have a picture gallery of it up on our website before long.
The very earliest CB750's that were produced were this sandcast version: the crankcase was created using a sand mold. After engine number E1007415 the engines were die cast instead. Couple this with the fact that the early chains were to weak for the engine which caused them to shatter the crankcase and you have very few of these about 7000 bikes produced left in existence with their original sandcast crankcase. This is number 742.

Wow! Talk about a retirement investment. This machine is destined to break 6 figures in the near future . I have seen them go for north of 30 thousand American dollars . One of this condition has to be sought after by the world's most wealthy so it won't surprise me when it goes through the roof at some major auction.

pretty sure a sandcast of that early number had a straight and not bent brake line (the metal part) attached to the master cylinder.
