I bought my brand new Honda CB 750 in 1972. They shocked the motorcycle world. Everyone was buying them. They were quality, value and dependable. If you went somewhere, you felt confident you were not going to have any problems with the bike. The motorcycle was built user--friendly where you could adjust the valves simply by removing the caps on the valve cover. You didn't have to do major engine work to remove the camshafts, like on other 4-cylinder bikes. The Honda was simple maintenance...put gas in it and enjoy yourself...They were beautiful just to look at. When you went through the gears and twist the throttle, it gave you everything you could ever want. If I ever found a nice one, I would buy it again. I still miss it...Friend, Vince. 6/30/22.
THanks for posting this video again. My first bike was a cb550. Doing a restoration of our favorite bikes is the dream for so many of us. Your video allows us to take great enjoyment of the process!
Very good 👍 classic motorcycles are very memorable for me. I was have one Suzuki X7 250 , 1979. I love it and really enjoyed it. I wish I could experience it again. 💙💙💙
Another fantastic restoration Gentlemen 👌 Same color as my '72, I need to put the taller handlebars on like that one, I wish for the original exhaust one day 🤔
Wow, that's a stunner! You can appreciate the shock factor of the motorcyclist from that era when you see how fabulous this 750 four looks compared to its US and European competition at that time. Nothing on this bike looks like an afterthought.
True. Mythical super bike that represents the beginning of the Japanese boom egemony and respect for its quality level. My pleasure Geoff. Thanks a lot for your note. Best regards, loscar.👍👍
Never before or since did Honda make a more beautiful machine IMHO. One of the best looking bikes of all time, why don't they make 'em look like that now?! There are some good 'retro' bikes like the Triumph Thruxton but we need more...lots more! I am astounded at the level of 'newness' you achieve on the cooling fins etc, given what you started with.I also much enjoyed the little detour around your workshop half way through, that's exactly what I'd be doing :D
Hi Ralph; It is very true what you are saying. I also think the same with Thruxton. It is one of the few current bikes that I would like to have. Thanks a lot for your note. Best regards, loscar
