I'm pretty sure Tesla's Supercharger network actually IS the most dominant fast charging network (at least in the US). There are 25K Superchargers in the US, compared to a mere 3892 Electrify America chargers. Tesla throwing in the towel on Superchargers is INDEED about to be the fumble of the century, as far as EVs are concerned. I definitely hope EA scoops up Rebecca Tinucci to lead them to the same level of reliability!

NASCAR has been engineering that finish for 20 years. It happened in "overtime". Wtf is "overtime"? I thought motorsports required two balls... NASCARs format is horrible and most can't be bothered to watch the motorsports equivalent of WWE wrestling.

they should just put charging stations inside gas stations, and train gas station workers on how to maintain them

Love you guys but you are very mistaken on the charging stations, Teslas are sold with a j1772 adapter that allows them to use the same charging stations as every other automaker but the Tesla chargers can only be used by Teslas

A lot still needs to be done expanded/fixed with the charger network before EVs can be truly feasible for everyone.

Tesla’s actually can use the electrify America chargers and it’s super fucking annoying. On the east coast, there’s a chain called Wawa, one close by has a row of Tesla chargers and a row of electrify America chargers, and then the stupid teslas will use the electrify America chargers sometimes, despite there being 2x as many Tesla chargers sitting empty. It’s infuriating. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the lack of a reliable charging network is all that really sets Evs back at this point.

I hate phony stark so much, it feels like he intentionally sabotages any promise Tesla has as a company at every turn and pushes the company in the worst possible directions. FSD was always a mistake, 500W charging limits were a mistake, Cybertruck was a BRAZEN mistake, and it goes on.
Like yes Tesla's supercharger network has some serious hardware limitations, but it also just works the best from a consumer perspective. Electify America is large but has been notoriously frustrating to use as an end user. Pretty much any EV channel has covered EA's shortcomings all over.

Oh lord, there's so much wrong with what Pumpf says about Superchargers. For one, Tesla's is the ONLY Supercharger network, it's literally their branding for fast chargers. Tesla's CAN be charged on EA and other chargers etc. with an adapter. No issue. etc. For a long time, Superchargers were the peak cause of their speed, others are only now starting to catch up. Coverage was Tesla's big thing though. If they don't build more, they'll just be swamped with other cars soon, now that anyone can use them.
Why even bother talking about something you don't seem to know anything about? I hate Phoney Stark just as much as anyone, but come on.
