They're gonna stop making it I think this year will be the last. I could be off by a year, maybe next year will be the last. Once everyone gets their teeth into the EV cake, things will change somewhat. Most ppl that 'hate' the EV transition have never driven/ridden in one. They aren't the same, but they're really fun in their own way.
@@bluflaam777 nope, they’ve already said that they’re going to continue V8 production the entire life cycle of the S650. Which they said will end in ~2030-2032. After that nothing has been announced.

I just looked it up and ya' it was from last year, then I just found another article from 3 months ago that said they're gonna end the v8 in the mustang in 2028. So, they're gonna be around for a bit longer...just looks to be a bit up in the air as for how long.
btw, it was an article repeated from 'truth about cars' from msn. UAW leaked the info about ford halting the v8 in the mustang by 2028

I think what would be a really cool idea for the big three is instead of having three iconic hosts but rather having three hosts along a group of other hosts that go through a rotation of being on the podcast. It would be nice to include the other hosts on donut media.

That’s all the “Charger” has ever been from 2006-2023; a RWD Intrepid. A “Real” Charger has two doors, first and foremost. They should’ve just continued calling the LX Dodge sedans “Intrepid”, hell even “Magnum” would’ve been fine, instead of sullying the Charger name on a 4-door grocery getter. Yes, we’re finally getting a real Charger in that a two-door car with that name is a reality. The Sixpack will be plenty popular, as over 60% of all Charger sales every single model year are V6 cars; the average consumer wants a cool looking car, but with an efficient powertrain… Outside of the enthusiast niche, people aren’t looking for huge horsepower numbers, nor do they want poor fuel economy, and that’s reflected in the sales- V6 Chargers and Challengers are the volume sellers by a huge margin, they’re the money-makers. If Dodge doesn’t price the things right out of reach of their core consumers like they have the last couple years with the outgoing models, they’ll sell a ton.
Dodge very well could have had a hit with the EV crowd too, as the Charger Daytona is an aggressive looking EV- a standout really, in a field of jelly beans. However, by essentially not embracing the things that people purchase EV’s for in the first place, and coming up with this “apology machine” that is trying to fake the entire ICE experience is going to turn off ICE purists, AND also EV customers are going to stay away because who the hell wants a noisy EV, that artificially vibrates, and shifts?? The whole reason people buy EV’s over gas cars IS because they’re quiet, smooth, and DON’T shift at all; uninterrupted power delivery!!!

This shows that Stellantis doesn’t think very highly of Dodge customers. They really think that Dodge customers egos are so fragile that their EV offering has to have a vroom vroom noise maker, a fake transmission, and a fake engine vibrator… News flash- those people won’t buy ANY EV, so stop pandering to them. Seriously- the small number of enthusiasts that never buy another Dodge because the V8 is dead won’t matter in the grand scheme, just fucking embrace the EV, target the EV crowd with a GOOD EV, and price it right so it’s accessible by working people. Follow Tesla’s example- done deal. The Sixpack will do great with traditional buyers; especially those of us Mopar enthusiasts who’ve not bought anything from Dodge the last 5-10 years because they’ve not had any new vehicles on offer- just more special editions of the same old cars. Again- price is key!!!

That's not insane for EVs. Batteries weigh a lot. What IS insane is the new Hummer weighing 10,000 lbs.
Both cars will be banned from parking garages due to their extreme overweight. Parking garages, like all buildings, have a weight limit and they were built for cars that on average weigh 2-3,000 pounds each.
the Big Three logo is hilarious. I've sat in hours of LA traffic behind big rigs and this logo hits home in the best way.

Also have you guys looked at the sparks motors backed nicola badger? Very nice truck I just wish someone would make a truck that had every engine option. From a turbo 4 banger to a supercharged v8 to a diesel v6 turbo like my audi a6 tdi and even a ev option. Then let your customers pick the best one for them?

Awesome show! I love this format of current events chat. So the reason why Verstappen’s dominance is so boring compared to Hamilton’s is because Red Bull and Ferrari were still winning several races at that time. Hamilton had to battle Vettel twice and Nico for a lot of the Mercedes era. So even thought Hamilton dominated for awhile, other teams still had a chance to win and some races we didn’t know who would win.

Just to clarify on Cadillac and F1, the FIA has been the one trying to get them in, it's the F1 teams who don't want them in because they want them to buy an existing team and keep the value within the current 10 team, they don't want to split the pie by adding more teams.
Blythewood is actually where Bose and Pirelli had a factory before production went to Mexico. They do offer huge tax breaks that last 10 years, so guess how long these factories stay lol. Fun fact: Blythewood is within 3 hours of over 8 major cities! Charlotte, Atlanta, Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Savannah, Ashville and Greenville!

My 81 civic was a kart, my 84 looked so much cooler, but back end got away. And the 4 gear selector instead of auto, burnt up in Chicago traffic

Manual is actually bigger here in the US for the GTI/R than it is elsewhere.
Blythewood is near Columbia (the capital of South Carolina). Its kinda like a suburb of columbia. Its a small city. Also south carolina has 3 regions the (Piedmont (upper part Greenville-Spartanburg), Midlands (columbia area) and the Low country (Charleston, Beautfort, florence etc). I live in Spartanburg I pass the BMW Plant everyday on my way to work. i have honestly never been there.
I largely agree with James here. I don't mind an EV, I do mind all the garbage they are trying to do to make people less scared of them.

11:12 It's just plain marketing at this point. Grand Tourers back in the old days sat between a full-on sports car and luxury cars-- you start off with the sports package and then add in little comfort options to make that fast, tight-handling car just a little more tolerable on long-distance drives. So, a GT was really just a race car with some bloat so you could actually enjoy the drive rather than the race.
I think the charger is awesome for the simple fact you can switch between all wheel and rear wear drive regardless of whether you get the EV or the ICE version

Dudes! Y’all are awesome and stay great! I have a 17 Charger and I’ve been waiting on the new Charger. If I wanted an EV I want it to be quiet and calm. Dodge has over engineered this EV that will drive up its price! The inline six should not be named sixpack, a sixpack comes 2x2 2x2 2x2 not an inline six. That’s misleading just cause it sounds like Scatpack!
Being they were spanked by koenigsegg in every aspect with the Chiron it makes sense they follow the leader.

Daaaang guys! So hard on us VW guys😂. I don’t have gauges or tight black jeans, and I’m DEFINITELY not a vegan😂😂😂. I have a 2015 6 speed GLI (Jetta version of GTI), which took almost a year to find. I’ve gone full standard bolt on with an APR stage 1 high torque tune with Koni struts and Eibach springs and it’s an absolute blast! SAVE THE MANUALS!!!😅😅😅😂😂

Just based on the wheel base and overall size of the new Charger, the gas version was definitely an afterthought. Someone there at least stood up and said we won’t sell but 12 of these if there isn’t a gas engine so they removed the 2500 lb battery pack and stuck a wanna be Supra engine in it. I hope these fail hard.
Also as for Andretti in F1, the FIA approved the application, the problem came down to FOM which owns the media rights and stuff for F1. Keep in mind, the FIA doesn't run F1 like they do WRC or WEC, so the FIA approving an F1 team doesn't actually mean the team gets to join. The fact that F1 is owned by Liberty Media, an American company, and won't allow an American team to join...woooo there are layers of issues there.
