Not to nitpick but you guys forgot to mention that James has seen Mario Andretti in his underpants
Rumor has it, they were purple
🤦♀
@@TheLargestDylannot a rumor 😂
I think only James is legally allowed to say it
@menotyou6431
It's not nitpicking that was a big oof on their part, However I think it can be forgiven just this 1 time 😅
The only thing I wish podcasts had, including this one, are time stamps or chapters for the topics covered. Keep up the good work, guys!
Half the “offensive” quotes from JC didn’t offend the people he made fun of, they got the humour, it was just the social warriors who got offended, including the trucking one.
Make it the big four, keep Jobe in the podcast!
Always overpromises and under-delivers. Case and point cyberfridge.
About sure that's their only vehicle that ever missed its technical specs.
This reminds me of the old Top Gear news segment! I can’t wait for more episodes!
The thumbnail says 'is Elon lying?'
Are his lips moving?
Wait until he breaks out his own cologne line. I bet it'll be named Snake Oil.
I LOVE this!!! Not only is the content itself fun and informative, I gotta say you guys-- the lighting and coloring of this show is just soooo aesthetically pleasing. 10/10, homies
Here Jeremy's complete quote about BMWs: "Turn signals in the shape of nazi salute, a satnav that only goes to Poland, and a fan belt that will last a thousand years".
I love whoever is always laughing in the back lol
Zach is the Jack of all trades..is there nothing he can’t do!? I love the taillight lamp btw.
Since there’s no table to cover their waist now- have Joe and Nolan always touched their shoes? 👟 😂.
I would love a beard episode with you three. If I had to rate the current beards today my order would go as followed.
Zach, the guy who keeps wiping his brow and Joe.
Awesome show gents..HRSPRS!🤘
Zach of all trades
@@DonutPodcastsyoooo loool
Love the new show guys! I do a lot of driving for my job and always throw a Donut podcast on for the road trip.
I would love to see you guys get an interview with Edison Motors, I know it's semis and pickup trucks but they are actually delivering on their promises unlike the Muskrat.
Obviously this is supposed to be more of a current news podcast than a history podcast like Past Gas. Given that, honestly this feels like a sports-ish talk show and I kinda like that feel and energy since it’s the automotive space. Can’t wait for more of both podcast channels 👍
Thoroughly enjoyed this. I listen at work on audio and watch it at night in my garage. Cant say enoygh how much i love the video format cominf back!
I like this new podcast & format. Keep it up big 3!
Love the news format
Storyline for next week: Lia Block, daughter of the late Ken Block, is participating the F1 Academy series with Williams as one of their new young drivers. She wrecked in Jeddah this week and came in last, but something to watch for those interested in the future of American Motorsport and women’s sports in general! (Also the only F1 driver is American and races for Williams just like her… FOLLOW THE MONEY is all I’m sayin’)
Don't follow the Sargeant money too far. May not like what you find.
the one about murder was controversial because there was a court case where families of victims of a truck driving serial killer were trying to get justice at the same time
Just finished listening on spotify had to hop over to CZcams get a visual of the new set. love past gas, been listening for about half a year and just passed ep100! really helps me get thru 12hr shifts building farm equipment. so glad that you guys are doing a pod on current automotive news! jobe as a guest is great, hes my fave at donut, nolan is a great host, and Joe becomes the funniest man in the building when james isnt around ahah all jokes aside keep up the great work fellas
This new show is sick guys, I’ve been listening since DRS and I love that your expanding the audio format shows. You all should talk about car design news as well! Im currently an automotive design student at CCS in Detroit and I think the future of car design is such an interesting and sometimes crazy field. Keep it up!
Not even a subject. But maybe all 3 of you giys just talk about what got you guys into cars, favorites, not so favorites lol. I think thatd be a great video. Probably a long one
I love this format. Keep it up🥳🥳🫶👍👌
This was pretty entertaining, keep it up.
I'll watch any content they put out. Always quality content
Love having Jobe on a podcast
really love this! I would love to see more of the boys on the episodes like Zack Jerry Justin! sick boys keep doing it
The shot of Nolan head on with the brown backdrop reminds me of Uncle Jacks "Lawyer Show" on Always Sunny 🌞 😁
I would live to see you guys cover WEC/IMSA. I know that the races are crazy long but they're so good!
MotoGP (the F1 of motorcycles) starts this weekend in Qatar 3/8-3/10. I'd love to hear some coverage!
This is good, been a fan of donut from see James do the rally group b video years ago and thought.....an American actually knows about group b.
Already love it. Logo and brand is fucking awesome. Love the vibe of the video set.
I love Jeremy Clarkson’s humor and always will
If i got any improvement for the podcast its show more pictures on the screen of what you’re talking about for the viewers
Clarkson had some hilarious humor, was it offensive? Absolutely, but it was so absurd that you had to think it was just for the shock factor of "holy crap did he really just say that"
This was good way better than the other racing podcast
The bus lane one was real comedy lol
Yall should reprint the RIP pop up headlight poster above Jobe
I love this!
Man. I legit Loled a ton.
Nah there's no way my favourite billionaire who is known for lying could be lying
Not really into podcast, but ill gladly jump in on a freshstart.
Keep Jobe on the podcast
The quote at 6:57 perfectly describes the difference between automotive enthusiasts and Tesla drivers.
Good idea, gives you the ability to do faster turnaround reaction stuff.
I'm still waiting for the autonomous "snake" charger that was supposed to connect itself to cars since 2014.
Great episode. I could hear really bass-y pulsing during the few minute section where Zach is holding the mic. But otherwise the audio was great.
Rooting for the midfield is a genius idea. James is such a natural hype man, I'm kind of exited to see what him trying to boost lesser known drivers does for them.
In one of the grand tour episodes where the boys went to south east asia (the seamen) episode. In the very first minutes of the episode, Jeremy made a remark about the lack of water in the rivers. He said something like, "there's not enough water to drown a witch." I was dying laughing! Jeremy's selective words makes him humurous and so interesting to listen to
I wanna here about rally zoomin through the dirt
I would love it if you guys covered endurance racing.
I've completely fallen in love with IMSA, especially after seeing the new GTP cars at Long Beach last year. Formula 1 has been so disappointing. IMSA has so many different cars and the racing is so exciting week after week.
Imagine if Clarkson had the same empathy for people that he has for cars lol he'd be unstoppable
there are some cars that are less than a ton for ex a base Toyota Celica weighs 1,962 LBs and some that weigh almost three tons like a Lincoln Continental convertible was up to 5,700 LBs before it was bullet proofed for state use by head of state & diplomats etc. similar to a Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 9 passenger sedan/limousine while for ex a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria weighs 3,748 LBs
Can't find the podcast on Google Podcasts
Thanks for letting us know! Checking on that now.
Joe is my spirit animal.
And that gr86 student at the local community College comment was way too accurate. I see a lot of these at the local community College.
The ariel hipercar has a thruster integrated
I really like this over the topic driver podcasts since they spend half the time deviating from the topic. This fits better since it allows for more freeform
Launch at a red light with the thrusters and melt the front bumper of the car behind you😂
Cool stuff, some timestamps would be good though.
Mural Nolan is giving real life Joe some proper sassy eyes! 😆🤣😁
what brought me here was jeremy clarksons name so i guess that tells you guys what i want for this podcast
Tesla roadster driver turns with rockets: sick!
Guy with kids passing him in the other lane: 💀
Kids: AHHHHHHGG
That scenario with one guy driving and the passenger controlling the rocket is exactly the stunt car from Burt Reynolds’s movie “Hooper.” Surely all you guys have seen it?!
Clarkson is a good writer and he actually does a lot of reading. His statements need some study to really understand the underlying message. Whatever he is, everybody in my generation dreams to be him but like I always say, there can only be one Jeremy Clarkson. Unfortunately, he is getting older and one can see how passionate he is in farming and many agree that his farming show is better, which again points to the fact that his fans are like him too, getting older. You guys are doing great and we hope you guys can free up some time and do the show around the globe (like your Australia and Japanese coverage). We need a new TopGear, a universal global auto show!
To be clear, Clarkson was not actually let go because of the punch. The bbc was sick of the controversy and wanted to take more control over top gear, so they used it as excuse to get rid of him. Pretty sure the producer didn't even report or want clarkson to get removed from the show
Did I miss something? Intro says "last week, we did these things" but I cannot seem to find any other episodes of the podcast?
You didn't miss anything, this is the first episode.
ah, just started the podcast when I posted, looks like the "last week" verbiage is just a mistake (or perhaps part of future promos) @@DonutPodcasts
Elon can't be mad at a "I'll believe it when I see it" policy with these promises at this point
Love the new podcast! Can't wait for the f1 updates. But I'm really invested in the nips
The thrusters on a car are fun for one go, but they will quickly run out and then you will have a pain to refill them. Its a stunt. You also might have a problem with it if you drive anywhere with tunnels that limit stuff like that.
Carlando never beating the soulmates allegation.
LOL Nolan: From all the shitting on Tesla that I do... ....The Cybertruck is pretty quick, handles pretty well, especially for a huge truck...*end of compliments*
That is NOT what makes a truck good and NOT what the majority of truck drivers are looking for. But you knew that already lol. This is more like a truck for SUV drivers that really should have a wagon/sedan.
The problem I see is sub 1 second 0-60 will be painful. In a S plaid it’s not exactly a pleasant experience and this is supposed to more than double the acceleration.
Also, those tiny thrusters only put out 70 pounds of thrust. The rocket cars out there are putting out tens of thousands of pounds of thrust. Even with Nevara horsepower to get under 1 second would take something like 5,000 pounds of additional thrust.
Man i was so excited seeing you 3, then you said james isnt there cuz hes sick, so now im disapointed that he'll be a main host
It would be nice to have jobe as a host aswell!
in which past gas episode did they talk about the homies figurines?
Omg I have that same IPL trucker hat 😮 what a coincidence
Us Brits love banter and sarcasm it's how we show love 😅😅😅😅😅
I kinda prefer the story like podcasts like past gas
Not only did we get a Christian Horner nip pic. We also got to see the little Horn dog.
I know one can not get everything correct in a free spoken format. But i have a correction to make: the sub-1s car was NOT German. It was Swiss, a team of students from ETH Zürich and Hochschule Luzern.
I now could go on a rant about north americans not being able to distinguish between Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, also between Switzerland and Sweden, but I won't - i'll try atleast... (and no - we're talking countries, not states. Otherwise i wish you good luck on Swiss cantons - it's easy, only 26 instead of 50).
15:21 you guys need to look up team Mitsubishi in the mountains of West Virginia, and the whole area. I know there’s a 99 GSX that can do 0 to 60 in .95 seconds it has been claimed the fastest eclipse in the world as of 2017 when I was there with the whole crew. So unless a car can beat .95 seconds, the eclipse is still the fastest.
Is the past gas still gonna be made?
Would this Roadster be road legal considering how fast it can go?
They claim 1.9 for 0-60 now but still claiming +250mph and 620 mile range 😂😂😂😂
I miss DRS 😢
Start this with Wrc, Arca, Gtc Transam formulaD and Nascar =more episodes
Second podcast should just be the boys all just talking about how they led up to being at donut😮😊
How do you not melt people and other cars in traffic with thrusters? Lol
The AMZ Mythen is the fastest accelerating *electric* car ever. It's also from Switzerland, not Germany. And both the McMurtry speirling and the amz Mythen have forced down force, from fans sucking out air under the car.
A 0-60 time of under 1 seconds using thrusters is only a question of how strong the thrusters are and how heavy the car is.
Now, some Juicy math: 60 mph is ~28m/s. To reach that in 1s, you need an average acceleration of, well, 28m/s per second or: 28m/s². If we assume they could do it in 2 seconds without thrusters, and if we assume 2t that acceleration is already 14 m/s². The thrusters "only" need to provide the other half. To get 14 m/s² into a mass of 2 t you need a force of 28 kN. Now falcon 9s cold gas thrusters are rumored to have a thrust of 400 N. You'd need 70 of those. To me it seems unlikely to use the thrust of these for acceleration. You cound use them for down force, either pointing them up or to create airflow under the car to create a low pressure zone. That last one could be the most efficient, however i don't know if that's even possible and how but lowering the pressure underneath the car by 1% creates several hundred kilos of downforce.
Jeep jobe om the podcast
MB denied Ham a ambassadorship, and a the 3 year contract with a last year out clause, that he was looking for.
Research MB Racing ambassadorships, come to your own conclusions, if I give my perspective, you probably won't consider at all.
Is past gas done?
KITT had thrusters
There was an American car from like the 60s that were jet powered
Ford vs chevy vs dodge rivalry (big 3)
Nolan needs a camera light. Or just do as the other two and let the director handle it and do your job lol. Love the content all. Btw a helmet is slang for d$&k head. He called him a d$&k head.
Donut F1 fantasy league?
You will never get me in a EV
10/10
I like it.
Space is a vacuum. So of course thrusters will work😂
You don't get rocket propulsion by farting gas straight out into space. You get propulsion by farting gas against a nozzle cone, the cone gets pushed in one direction and it pushes whatever is in front of it.
If that concept escapes you, I would've loved to say it ain't rocket science-- except it _is_ rocket science.
