The fact that Bad VP so genuinely and wholeheartedly believed the "You guys have no lives" thing to be true, to the point where she couldn't understand why people were upset that she said that, is both hilarious and very sad to me.

Besides, i don't think there are any official "protected" groups, because that in itself would be discrimination towards all other groups. There is only unofficial public consens to treat some groups "nicer", because they are still targeted despited protection laws.

The always support your spouse is good but it depends on the issue/situation, like if your spouse/partner insulted someone in your family that the person didn't even do anything wrong or said anything but just insult and bully them, that's where you go against your partner.

first story is... well, refreshing to hear about a CEO that gives two f*cks about his workers, for a start. Then that Bad VP. It's not even "you don't mess with the IT guys". She messed with the CEO policy, what did she expected to happen? How stupid one should be to risk his own job and position over the stupidiest power trip ever?
And she did it over nothing but her ego. Crazy.
What gets me the most is that she called them multiple times throughout the day. She was literally thinking about them _all day._

The last story has ne in tears. It takes a special person to pull off not only a great costume but an act to go with it.

I have a Jewish friend and we are working on a modest/comfortable Sailor Pluto. She has no issues with the original but she's more comfortable in modest clothes.

First story: I loved this story. OP spent company money like crazy, on a party, with paid hours, and instead of him or his team or his manager getting in trouble, the bad VP got in trouble. If it was in México the VP surely would get fired because the independance day is a mandatory work-free day, is that or triple the pay of a day, and that's for regular hours and is ordered by law.
I was just about to type "What's inappropriate about the song Creep?" when I got to the part mentioning Ash's strict religious values and laughed 🤣. I didn't need to finish the story to know it was the line "What the hell am I doing here?" that set him off.

1st story: While OP is telling about what food they have at the 4th of July party, even I just ate dinner, It made me hungry
2nd story: The coordinator hating "Creep" plus the "loner" description of OP actually makes sense that the coordinator hates it because the song hits his self esteem since I believe he's aware he's a loner and doesn't belong there. It hits his ego and self esteem.

hey rSlash, just thought I'd give some context behind the "down arrow of death" for future IT stories. Basically, in the Active Directory control panel, when someone has a down arrow next to their user name, it means their account has been disabled. (You never want to delete accounts because sometimes you want to give access to stuff that only a previous employee had access to) This usually happens when someone leaves a company for whatever reason.
