What is "Short DST - Not Available"? I've fixed the date, and still ' Boot Device Not found'. I took the ssd out, and tested on the desktop, and it works fine. Making me dazzling. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing the video. My Lenovo desktop beeps twice on start up but all 4 USB ports at the back have completely failed. I've tried disabling the power option but nothing works. The only option now is to use the on-screen keyboard. What could be the problem with all the four USB ports?

I formatted my HP all in one PC, because Bitlocker was activated but I was unable to unlock, but know it didn't show the HD when I tried to install Windows 10 since a USB. I tested the HD, it's healthy. The installation starts but when it ask for a drive, just the USB appears. Do I need another bootable disk or what I'm doing wrong?

I have 810 G2 laptop and had an issue with BIOS but when I installed it now I can see message saying:
The system BIOS version doesn't match the Boot Block Version.
It is recommended that you perform a BIOS update to the desired version.
Once you perform the BIOS update, the system will synchronize the System BIOS and Boot Block Versions.
Boot Block version: 1.0
System BIOS Version: 1.46

HP Elitebook 840 G3 keeps entering factory recovery. I have reinstalled OS, replaced SSD, updated bios, set bios factory defaults. But it keeps doing that. I think it starts before windows booting. But if I choose "windows boot" on boot settings (F9), windows boots normally.
What else I can do to fix this?

Great Video. I have other issues. Model hp 17-by1021cl, it says: incomplete optane volume, SATA 0.0. WD10SPZX-60Z10T0 WD-WXK1A694DL02. 931.5GB, Next page says reset to non-optane. Can you help?

@@PC_Monkey I get a (3F0) Boot device not found. Went into system configuration and physical disk info, it says incomplete optane volume. Then tells me member disk numbers, then asks to reset to non-optane, which will remove all data from disk. I need to save my data if possible. I had previously removed all batteries to do a reset to be able to get into the configuration screens

@@PC_Monkey my diagnostic scan was a pass. My laptop was just working fine, I shut it down and when I woke up to switch it on but it kept failing to boot and stayed for hours on preparing automatic repair

I have an HP ba004ds I picked up online. It will not boot. I have Windows 10 install USB drive and I have changed the Boot order. It keeps on starting up trying to repair drive. I have tried a few different hard drives with system 7 on them to see it it would boot. No luck. Drive errors is ok, I ran all the tests. I ordered a new HD with windows 10 preinstalled. Can I put this drive in my laptop and boot or do I have to adjust anything in the Bios settings?

I have a lenovo but did as many of these as i could. Pc detects the SSD, i took out and replaced the ssd to make sure - nothing seems off, i ran diagnostics and it passed all tests, tried changing to different boot devices - still no success. I am out of ideas and worried that i lost all my data because i am no smarthead who has an external usb backup. Please help!
You replaced the SSD? Did you try installing an OS to the new one? If not, there is nothing to boot

i have winodws 10 hp....will enabling the legacy a good option? it also says " changing the setting may make the system unable to boot the OS" is that ok? can it be unable after?

@PC_Monkey, I would like to share my experience with my HP Spectre Convertible 13. When it was still under warranty I spilled some clean water on the keyboard and had to send it in to HP for repair. When I got it back, I didn't realize/associate it until later, but I had physical connection problems on my laptop: my USB-A port on the left side no longer works. And I started intermittently experiencing the "No operating system found" message when booting up. When I called HP they told me it was because my laptop had a conflict with the latest Windows 10 due to it being a few years old. No! I realize now that these super-compact, no access panel laptops are hard, even for HP, to take apart and put back together. I now believe this is why I am experiencing this problem. And if HP cannot take it apart and put it back together properly, I am not going to try! Lesson learned: think twice before you send in your laptop for repairs. These no-access panel laptops are very difficult to take apart and put back together. A slight gentle bang/tap on the right side is how I get my computer working again when I experience this problem.
@PC_Monkey, do you know how HP takes these 2-in-1 compact, no access panel laptops apart? Do they take them apart manually? or do they have a special machine to do it?
so if you're experiencing the dreaded "No operating sytem found" you have to ask yourself, "have I ever sent in my laptop to HP for repairs, or had it repaired anywhere else?" Especially if you have a 2-in-1, no access panel notebook.

I ran the quick check on the hard drive but it keeps displaying smart check and long DST not installed. I reseated
the hard drive and tried quick check again but keep getting the same result.

my computer keeps turning off after I put some load on it like using the browsers or an app. I have a hcl me laptop. which was working fine for around six months or so. i just updated my laptop (normal windows update) and after that update i feel like that is the cause. so i wanted to know what else can i try.
1. Are you able to access BIOS at startup and find any options to 'Undo' or 'Uninstall Last Update'? If so, that may help if its related to an update.
2. Was the computer overheating now or before at all?
Will it delete all the existing files if I do a system restore from the BIOS?

@PC_Monkey it says everything passed & no obvious issues. I was using it normally and it crashed suddenly & then went into HP recovery mode. Now anytime its turned on, it's extremely hot. Tried all of the options & more, just says there's no operating system now 😒
@PC_Monkey I think there was a windows update needed, I vaguely remember it asking me to restart and I postponed it (I think)

Make sure the HDD that has the OS on it is set to first on the boot priority.

Then your BIOS may not have one. Not all do. Do you have an HP? Can you run the diagnostic scan?

Firstly i listened to a youtuber who didnt know num an he convinced me to dual boot linux an windows on the same drive which was local disk... so i bought a new hard drive an now i installed new os but i think pluggin in the hard drive with new os an stuff tricked the bios system bc the screen was coming on intil i plugged new drive now my keyboard lights up makes noise but no display whatsoever

@@PC_Monkey i add 1pcs ram 4gb 2660mhz to empty slot, the original ram is 4gb 3200mhz, so now i can boot into windows just turning off the secure boot but the system read available ram is 8gb and usable only 4gb? is there anything i doing wrong?
@@spilltoon So without the added RAM, the computer is stuck in a boot loop but with the added RAM, the computer turns on and can boot after turning off secure boot?
@@PC_Monkey before adding ram it run normaly, i think the Ram is source of trouble my laptop keep bootloop, now my laptop its bootloop again after i set [msconfig - boot - advance opt - max. memory]

Is it bad to load setup defaults in BIOS ?
No. Resetting BIOS to factory settings is usually a good troubleshooting step to do
