1. Altering size, density, strength, and shape of his body by absorbing water.
2. Taking water from living beings to regenerate himself.
3. Ice is as hard as he wants it to be. To a point.
4. Being able to traverse long distances at super speeds by basically moving his consciousness through water molecules.
He is omega level after all

Speaking of that... did Firestar ever appear in the comics? I remember her on that cartoon but I never saw her in the comics.
@@That80sGuy1972 Yes she did. Although I think it was some time later, but not sure. She is a mutant as well. I think she debuted in the X-Men 5 years later. She even had her own miniseries and was a member of the New Warriors.

Iceman is one of my favs. I have never accepted him as gay. They couldve created a character. I have no problem with gay characters but to take a character that many have connected with for decades and change his sexual orientation is the same as for falling for a women for years then marrying her and when you finally decide to consumate the marriage you find out shes got man parts.
I actually like Iceman’s powers the most. He came so far from that early 80s cartoon Spidey and Friends. He’s a true OG.

Love Iceman as the young member of the team always joking and having fun whilst having some of the highest potential in his mutant power.
Iceman was one of the first X-men with Cyclops, Jean, Angel, and Beast. He’s an old man compared to most.

Kingdom Come Superman the oldest was only five years older so they were 20-25. Not much of a difference.
Yeah that power Molecular Moisture Conversion allows him to project his consciousness through water, ice etc. Also do that with other people. Flow along through a river & reform downstream.

Iceman can literally make someone cold hearted....
Considering that light is made up of particles (photons) which can be made into solid light constructs, it seems reasonable that Iceman would be able to affect light with his abilities, by freezing those same particles (photons).
To be honest I liked Iceman pre Bendis as I feel he has become more comic relief especially in Mauraders
He’s always been very comedic but I agree that he should get some more dramatic scenes because they contrast his usual happiness so well
I like a bit of both with Iceman. Serious and funny. I do like him in Marauders. I feel like everyone is kinda silly in Marauders actually.

In Maruaders he feels like the stereotypical comic relief gay guy in old comedies

My dawg, "Iceman" Bobby Drake. Shout out to the folks who asked for him. Bobby has control over the slowing of molecules. That's what folks don't understand.
Although you've made some good points on Iceman's abilities, you forgot quite a few significant ones. Such as turning off thermal mutant powers on a molecular level, like he did with Sunfire. Being immune to mental detection, like when Jean/Phoenix tried to find him when he became a part of the environment in X-Men Forever. When he froze a nuclear explosion at point blank range without flinching, during Mike Carey's run. And when he tried using Molecular Water Inversion to teleport his entire team to a different location in the AoA series. He's even beaten Thor and the Hulk.
I guess you could say Iceman keeps a...cool head.

Iceman also was able to teleport and teleport others in the Age of Apocalypse by breaking down the water in their bodies and traveling via water molecules in the air
I hope Marvel Studios has a chance to do his character properly. Iceman is my favorite Xmen of all time.
He can change moisture from state to state. For example, just like he can change to water and solid, he can also change to gaseous. He might very well be immortal. He can also change his size, granting him additional strength. Insanely powerful!!!
Iceman is so underrated. They never used him enough, he's one of my fav's.

Def need a part 2. Missed him having so much control of his powers that he stopped sunfire from using his powers on a molecular level or when he stopped a nuclear explosion by freezing it and several more. Love the vids. Keep them coming.

I've always loved Iceman and ice powers. I have lucid dreams and ice powers are my main go to ability along with telekinesis.

Favorite original X Men mutant you ask? Scott Summer’s aka Cyclops the field leader of the X-Men. Love how his imperfections make him more relatable as a character.
Iceman has somewhat recently been shown the ability to freeze timez even though he lost control and couldn't undo it on his own. His power level is just getting ridiculous at this point and I love it

Bobby Drake and Kitty Pryde should be together in the comics, it's a little weird to me that he is gay but at the same time I'm not bothered by it. Still though I really wish Bobby and Kitty could have ended up together not just in the movies since they are technically non cannon to the story from what I am told.

The Ice Golems independence sounds like Multiple Man's alter identities when they are formed for long enough they take on their own personalities and independent thoughts.
I love how Iceman has evolved over the years, especially in terms of his powers. I don't think Bendis pulled off his retcon well, it seemed really contrived and poorly executed, especially considering Iceman's long relationship with Polaris. However, Iceman is still a great character and is doing exciting things.
I hate gay iceman. But I'm sure they can't change it. It would be weird to change him back to a straight guy. Maybe bi should be better.

The thing is not a lot of people know how to write gay characters well. The concept of sexuality having all or nothing to do with the story was lost in the past few years. But he's gotten alot better with the Marauders comics.

I'd prefer ice powers over heat powers IF it's able to go absolute zero or even below. Being able to freeze then shatter things and people would be awesome. Plus being able to make ice constructs would be badass!

His power, officially, is [geo-]thermal manipulation & the #1 listing isn't entirely accurate. It's not the light in itself (well, kinda-sorta), but the particles giving light its visibility that's freezing.
