TRISKATING - means inline skating on 3 big wheels - is THE new skate trend. Powerslide as trendsetter and pioneer of this new big wave offering a wide range of TRISKATES for all kinds of disciplines - from speed skating to fitness skating, from freeskating to off-road skating.
We also care a lot about "safer skating" and therefore teamed up with Asha Kirkby from Skatefresh. Asha travels extensively offering skate workshops all over the world.
skatefresh.com/ offers online training in the form of instructional video courses in the themes of general skating, stopping techniques and fitness/speed skating (20% of which are available for free).
This series of "Three wheel skate tutorials" is split into episodes for absolute skate beginners, intermediate level skaters and advanced level skaters. Asha will demonstrate how to handle your Triskates and will teach you the different stopping techniques to make sure you have great fun with your new Triskates. We also plan a special series for kids also.

I love inline skating.
These really are great tutorials. Thank you!
Thank you your instructions are very clear and pedagogic, I have started from 2 days I will apply today I am so happy. :-D
Emmanuel, how roller blading going so far ?
To me, the plow stop is far more easy than the heel brake. The heel break I learned at the same time as the scissors and T-stop, those require more training and mastery IMHO, because of the balance they demands.
Thanks for this!! I learned a lot :)
Love you. Thanks
Nice. Few people teach the snow plough but it’s a useful stop especially backwards.
Have been skating for three months now haven't had any good boots yet but your tutorials have helped me a lot thanks ❤💯
It is 1 year later how good are you now I just started
i learn very fast because of you😍 thank u very very very much
Excellent
Hi Asha, I just watched one of your videos for beginners where you pointed out 5 mistakes that they made. One of them was in a bad position. You said that it's wrong to have a 15 degree lean forward position while on this video you ride exactly on this position. Can you explain me this please?
you have such a pleasant voice.. It makes me feel chill somehow
Thank you love
It's hard to transfer weight to one foot, and it's harder if it's not dominant foot
So happy to see a new video :) I got this skate yesterday. Looks great and cool
I'm sure you will enjoy the Triskates. I really loved them and have now converted full time to 3 wheels!

Thank you for sharing. Your videos have been so helpful. I have no teachers near me so I am a Student of YT.
Thanks ;)

Will removing the spacer to reduce speed on the 4 inline skate wheel be the same effect as you demonstrated?
Hi I have a hard time with the T-Stop Every time i do it my feet that has most of the weight always change direction. I cant keep it straight
Big fan love from India
Please consider to take your feedback about the new Powerslide Trinity mount frames.
When removing the spacer you mean to say all of the wheels?
I recently bought triskates 100mm i dont know how to stop.. What should i do?
Hi Asha,
Please what protective gear pads are you wearing? I am interested in finding ventilated padding especially knee and elbow. I am happy with the wrist guards I currently own.
Thank you,
Mitchell
Powerslide manufacture some, however I would advise you if you can, to go to a shop and test the different gears available, and particularly check that the the gear once in place, don't shift or would not shift with a shock, it is very very important. IMO, no "ventilated" gear pads ever fulfilled the task correctly in that regard.
Cheers
Dear Powerslide Inline Skate,
For a Dutch Educational Television Show from the Public Broadcasting Station, I'm making an item about skate wheels. For this item, I need footage of a tri-skate, and your video is amazing. Would you be ok if we use a few seconds of your video on our show?
All the best,
Ineke
From were do you buy triskates
Doesn't that give your wheels flat spots for a bumpy ride..?
are those the 125 mm wheels?
🙂 👍
voy a Madrid una semana, me podeis ayudar a donde comprar unos powerslide 3x125mm, dedme nombres de tiendas, agradecido.
I've got experience ice skating, done a lot of skiing, and roller skated on quad skates when I was younger, do you think 110mm tri skates would be manageable for learning inline skating?
hi , in your case, for sure 110mm would be great. no doubt.
@@PowerslideInlineskates thank you ! :)

I like it so much and could understand that technology of protect our body while setting
What hardness wheels do you recommend good for stopping and sliding?
harder wheels are better for sliding....85a and more.
It's hard to transfer weight to my front foot (I think) because my roller blades might be too big. I'm a size 10, and my roller blades are a size 12. My feet wobble considerably.
HI Wayne, for sure having toobig skate can create some wobble effect. May be check our MYFIT product to help solve this. Pascal Briand
@Powerslide Inline skates: thx u powerslide, thx Asha .. (y)
i like roller blades

for complete begginers... are 4-wheel easier?
Galimah Yes, closer to the ground.

Removing the spacer Wil also destroy your bearrings..
not really, if your bearings have a good enough quality and you do not extremely over tighten the bolts, your bearings will be just fine and not roll much, so you practice slowly.
@@PowerslideInlineskates the bearrings can't take sideways force. They are not built for that. The reason your wheels are not spinning as fast, is because you are bending the inner ring vs the outer ring of the bearing. So you really are destroying your bearrings. This is really bad advice!
@@Vanalleswa if you are just about to learn to skate and go really slow and carefully to learn the fundamentals, the pressure will be not so much and good bearings can withstand that. this is an advice for the very first steps how to learn to skate. of course for intermediate and higher level skaters, we fully recommend the use of spacers and all our skates do come with spacers.
@@PowerslideInlineskates I understand why you are advising this. But as a skate branche, you can't give this advice. You probably know a lot about skates, I know a lot about bearrings. Even the best quality bearrings are not built for sideways pressure.
@@Vanalleswa maybe we can agree on that way: we do not recommend to take out the spacers if you want to actually skate a lot. we encourage you to try out the beautiful form of inline skating in any way possible. if you are too scared of the quick rolling movement of your wheels and prefer to roll slowly to gain control and skate skill first, the way to take out your spacers between your bearings can help lowering the rolling speed. we do not recommend to skate long distances or lots of impactful skating with this version.
thanks for your honest input, always much appreciated!
Yep..I fell yesterday...my wrist is kinda sore today.
sorry to hear about that. Hope you get well soon. Always make sure you use protection in case. Take care.
I love your skirt and leggins! Do you sell them too?

imho you should learn the t-stop asap. once you figured it out, you can put more and more weight on the back foot and it soon becomes a faster and safer way to stop than the heel break because it provides way more stability since you can bend your knees further and lower your centre of gravity. especially if you go fast.
The Tstop is a useful stop and slowing down method, but I have tested it against the Heel brake stop (i.e. 2 god skaters travelling at same speed, one doing heel brake and one doing T-stop) and every time the heel brake wins in terms of stopping distance because it is simply more efficient at stopping you than the T-Stop. However the Heel brake stop is often 'bullied' and not given the respect it deserves because it is considered 'uncool' by some people.
This is hugely unfortunate because the heel brake is THE best method for everyone to use when they first start skating. Personally I think it should remain with a skater until they can do 3-4 OTHER stops well from high speeds (and the T-Stop will of course be one of these methods). But I don't recommend people remove the Heel brake when they only have a 'more or less ok' T Stop. This causes lots of problems. Bending the knees in all stopping methods will produce the same result; more intesity and more energy transfer into the ground.
For more discussion and tutorials about Stopping methods, check out this new video series (for a limited time only).

If your feet get too close with a plow stop, just go into pizza wedge stop.
Mam can u teach me I m from india ....
I've never used safety protection before 😂😂
But if you hurt your joints badly, you will regret it then, and even more when you'll be in you 50's...
but it lets you avoid getting rained on because you can feel the pressure change, which stops you getting rusty bearings
XD
So true !
Norbert morha Me neither!!
Ffvhmm is aashir but she was e
I really don't need to stop idk when I wanna stop I can do it with out any moves
I dont think the tstop would help mne in high speed🥲
