Hey hey, I’m the creator of Purgatony and I’m really happy to see all the enthusiasm for the series in these comments. A lot of you are asking about season 2, so I wanted to clear some things up. We aren’t currently working on a season 2, because a show like this needs studio/network support.
Season 1 was paid for by a VOD service called Blackpills, that is now defunct. 2 years after premiering behind their paypalled app (not our choice), we got the rights back and tossed it up on CZcams just to be able to share it with the world. The team and I spent 6 grueling months making this season, and to have it locked away on an unknown app was really heartbreaking. So, it might seem like we just made this show and put it up on a free platform, which begs the question of why can’t we just do a season 2 that way, but that’s incredibly far from the truth.
So, whereas season 2 will never happen unless we find a home for Tony on a real network or larger streaming service (which is incredibly difficult), we DO actually have some exciting Purgatony news that we should be able to share in early 2020.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy rewatching the series with these compilations. I’m super proud of it, and feel it’s the best thing I’ve ever made. I’d love nothing more than to get into more trouble with this short, miserable, possibly eternally damned weirdo.

2 episodes in and honestly I just really like Chad Bradley. He's hard working, determined, tries to see the good in people around him, makes a real effort to understand and connect with his clients and coworkers, and maintains his positive attitude no matter the circumstances. What's not to love?

He makes fun of Tony, gives him back handed compliments, goes out of his way to put Tony down under the guise of what some may call "constructive criticism," expects everyone to live up to his standards, and switched up on Tony as soon as they were in front of ppl who actually deemed to be better than him. He's literally, a guy pick me except he seeks validation from everyone.

With that kind of person in a work or study environment, I usually play dumb, smile, say thanks and take the "compliment" and "advice" as to not give them the validation.
Eventually they stop, as you're no longer an interesting target.
If you're lucky they might actually act casually around you after that, since you're no fun to tease, because rather than going on the defensive and reflecting the energy they are sending out back at them to fuel their sense of significance, you actually absorb and disperse it, forcing them to either calm down or move on.
I've found it's either this or outright put them in their place, and it's way more satisfying to deny them relief from their insecurities than to go on the offensive.
It also protects you from retribution by not giving them even the most far-fetched justification for outrage.
All good traits are wasted without humility.

Purgatony is genuinely one of the funniest (and pointed) series I've seen in years. I really hope a major studio picks this up and gives you guys the creative freedom to make something great.
But please do try for as international a licensing scheme as possible - I'd hate to hear Purgatony's coming up on a network, and it turns out I can't sub cos it's US only or something.

I've been helpfully supporting the Cyanide and Happiness Show on VRV by frequently rewatching it there (the full episodes that aren't on CZcams). How awesome would it be to come full circle with this also being on there. And while at it, slap the Channelate stuff on there too! ExplosmEntertainment were awesome enough to lend both this channel to help raise their profiles, it'd be awesome to have everyone getting some money on VRV. I'd like it a lot more than the nostalgia trip VRV has suddenly turned into with all the older shows (I miss when anime was their main calling card. VRV was created by Crunchyroll).
This show is quality , you really feel and connect with the characters . Lol , I have a weird unique feeling about Tony , I hated him but I love him , I guess he just reminded me a bit of myself or he is the most human in the purgatory

I used to watch this just for fun, now I relate to Tony on a personal level.

Of fuckin course, instead of posting something new they just continue to post the same thing in a fuckin compilation. Whatever happened to channelate?! Whatever happened to new animations every Tuesday and Thursday with channelate every Sunday in a 2 weeks period. (I might be wrong on that schedule they had set up, but I remember they had a schedule set up)
This all changed when they got that dumb pay to watch app they moved too, only leaving behind RARE short animations and cheaply made community animations (aka trolly tom) and purgatony (which was actually a amazing series) but I still miss the old stuff. The funny original short animations along with the channelate animations which was my absolute favorite when it was added.
Been watching this vids for years, love the animations but this lack of content and re-publishing old stuff into compilations, it's just not even having y'all on the notification bell.
