In the second of these short carp fishing 2021 CARP CATCHERS films, we catch up with young Mainline Baits angler, Toby Price. An angler who shows all the signs of having a very bright future in carp angling, having already banked a number of sort-after carp from some tricky syndicate venues... but, it didn't all start there?! No! Toby began his angling journey as many of us have - intrigued by water, and what may live there, and exploring his local river with simple bottle traps.
Although, minnows and gudgeon caught in a bottle soon progressed to the ownership of a second hand fishing rod, bigger species such a chub coming to the net, and ultimately a quest for carp!
Whats more, as Toby reveals his humble beginnings into the angling world you'll also be reminded how the interest of fishing to a young angler, doesn't go without the appreciation or need of a helping hand from other anglers. With spare tackle and of course knowledge passed on a huge part of the learning curve.

Toby, i don't normaly post, but i think i need to.... from the first time i met you fishing, your dad was kipping in the bivvy just so you could do the night (rules) i said to Mick hey this lad next door has got his old man spending time with his son but not fishing, but i could see how enthusiastic you was, so me being me said to the old man (he's younger than me) he can fish with us so you can spend time with you're wife, i can whole heartedly say you are one of a kind for you're age then and now. You're ability to listen and reproduce the advice was to me amazing. I know who you are as a person, you are definatly not "the new" person on the block. I'm 52 now and i can honestly say it is a pleasure i met that little squeaky bum fluff kid that couldn't make a cup of tea, but was always at the front of the queue when we decided to have fish n chips. Good luck in your're working life bro.............and not biscuit tea next time xx
