      It is, but Sam's still right to complain about the infotainment. Not sure I agree about the rear air - there are a bunch of CUVs and compact sedans that lack it. (Remember, Ford has no cars anymore save the Mustang, so to Ford this is a competitor to a Civic.) You don't get rear air until you get into higher priced or larger vehicles. Still, I have no idea why the heck Ford would think 'Ford Connected Audio' was a good idea. It surely wouldn't have cost a lot more to use Sync3 in every Maverick, hope they realize that for '24.

      @@colinlocke1 yea I think the maverick is just missing the infotainment upgrade. Like you said, I find it hard to believe that throwing sync 3 into the maverick would be a large undertaking and big cost. For reference I have a 2019 Ranger, which is an extremely old platform. It has sync 3. The maverick, which is essentially new, doesn’t except in the lariat

    I did think about changing my original 2022 Maverick order to a Tremor when the 2023 model year was able to be ordered. I'm happy that I stuck with my original order since it's still going to be at a lower price point and it will perform the commuting functions that I will need it for flawlessly. Also, I'm still waiting on my Maverick Hybrid XLT order that was ordered 09-28-21. It has been built accordingly to my dealer and it is in transit. Here's to hoping that I get my Maverick soon.

  • @word42069

    My dad was one of the lucky(?) ones who got one in the first batch of Mavericks (took long enough). XLT Hybrid with just about all the options minus the sunroof. What a deal and it’s a great little truck, gets better MPG than my tiny 2018 Honda Fit.. and feels both easy and truck-like behind the wheel… besides the obvious differences with the hybrid. Ford got it right with the idea of the Maverick and knew the massive gap in the market, now will be the challenge of continuing to deliver them to meet demand and not forget the price range this thing sells in. Bad faith dealerships haven’t been helping.

    08:00, I don’t know, about 45 seconds earlier you mentioned how it’s a small compact truck. While rear vents are nice, it’s a compact space and the temp will even out very quickly. It’s sort of the same as knocking no dual temp air con, it’s silly.. it’ll even out very quickly. 🤷🏼‍♂️

      @AHungryHunky Před rokem +5

      I'm in agreement, also the Maverick has a "feel" to it that you can't shake at higher price points. I'd never want a Lariat trim unless I'm getting it for the price of an XLT (although I prefer the XLT interior with it's orange highlights). The Maverick was built to move at 20-30k, once you get into the high 30s it still has a 20k truck feel that no amount of fake leather is going to fix.
      For a lack of a better analogy, it's like putting a diamond encrusted saddle on a mule. Sometimes you need a mule. they are good reliable working animals and there's nothing wrong with having one around, but if you need a ride to a ball putting a diamond saddle on your mule isn't going to cut it, it's still a mule.

    I really think the XLT is just missing an option or upgrade to have an actual Sync infotainment, not a watered down version. Sync 3 would be totally fine. I have a maverick on order with a build date, and I went with the lariat largely due to the option of having sync. I don’t feel like fighting with my infotainment every single time I get into my vehicle. Really wanted an XLT though

Question, another youtuber mentioned in his review, the seats on the XLT Tremor were way more comfortable and different feeling aside from the stitching and logo compared to his XL Hybrid like yours. In your opinion, is that true? My thought is they are identical seats, but just a different color/stitching/logo

    Excellent review, however one nitpick. Why keep saying the "2023" Maverick has a base price of $20000 ??? That WAS the base price of the 2022 XL Maverick FWD hybrid. The 2023 base price increased 10% to $22,195, plus a destination charge of $1495 which adds up to $23690. The Tremor Maverick requires an upgrade to either the higher priced XLT or Lariat models. My Maverick Tremor purchase order price thru Ford BEFORE TAXES & DEALER "DOCUMENT" FEE is $31965 which includes the $1495 destination charge plus the following options: 400 watt inverter $150, Manual Rear Sliding window $155, Spray-in Bed Liner+6-D Link bed connectors $495. The optional "Appearance Package Option" on this video test drive Tremor costs $1495 which in my opinion is a complete waste of money....DON'T GET IT!!! Bottom Line" the XLT Tremor can be had for a ~$31K Window Sticker price tag ($31165 w/o any options before taxes/dealer fees) which is about $7,475 more than a completely stripped down zero option hybrid FWD 2023 Maverick XL before dealer fees +taxes....about half the price increase implied in this review. Yep, ~$31K sounds like a lot of money...until one prices other AWD vehicles with a truck bed, albeit the Maverick's truck bed is small, that has the Tremor's off road capabilities. One more thing, I also have an F150 & F250 so I have no worries about payload or towing. I live on my ranch in rural northern Nevada...I need the Tremor for general personal transportation which includes miles of off road duty, my full size trucks do the heavy lifting chores...no need to use up those very expensive trucks which are gas/diesel guzzlers for trips to the grocery store and the like. Nope, a FWD hybrid Maverick would get stuck in the winter snow/muck where I live. If ya don't go off road save some bucks and try to get a hybrid.. BTW, if ya don't order your Maverick thru Ford, but off the lot at a dealer expect a $7500 markup on top of everything else, imagine all the upgrades/options that would cover. $35k sounds almost cheap compared to many new car/truck prices...don't believe me...price a F250.

Also what does the word "yeash" which you used mean, doesn't your phone have "auto-correct"? Are you an old fogey using an obsolete dumb cell phone? Maybe if your phone is not super old it could have checked your "roll down window" suggestion and reminded you that it's not an option on the Maverick. However, it was available on the 2022 Ford F150 XL. Otherwise the hand crank window mostly disappeared by the late 1990's.
