  • The old White 2-60 Field Boss finally gets a loader installed. My parts tractor was also a FIAT built machine from about the same era and it came with a complete front end loader! The hoses all needed replacing and the spooler wasn't much good, but those were about the only issues I found when transferring it over. At the same time, I changed the engine oil and flushed/replaced the water contaminated hydraulic oil. The White was my grandfather's tractor and it had been sitting and neglected for quite some time. I've slowly been able to bring it back to life and put it to work. I hope you enjoy!

I’ve used Rotella oil exclusively in my diesel truck since I bought it new 24 years ago. Still going strong.

Right on. The bucket finished up nicely with the grader blade attached.

I want to convert my two controllers into a single joystick one. I saw you got that on your tractor. How many gallons is that? Can you use the joystick to move the arms up and retract the bucket at the same time? I'm not sure what you call that feature. If you have the front loader up and turn off the engine, will it allow you to drop the buck while the engine is off?

Good fitting ,Like you I had to take off my dashboard on my Fiat 640DT (same basic tractor as yours) I put in a couple of indicator dash lights (using some glued in coloured perspex size of a shilling ) in the spare indicator light holes to show when the ignition is on and when hazard lights are on (used an LED bulb and rubber bulb holder) hooked in line to an indicator light switch to go intermittently on and off for hazards
I will put a log grab ram on my front end loader, a guy on you tube has done it without needing to use a third function so no extra spool valve needed basically when crowd ram gets to end of its stroke the oil then goes into the grab ram

Would have been nice to see where you plumbed the hydraulics into the tractor hydraulic line , maybe next time ?
Parts are very cheap and available for this tractor , my drum brakes including pads and drum only cost US$200.00 in Australia and New Zealand as tractor was in production as late as 2018 in Parkistan and Turkey . The 2-60 is also same as a Oliver 1365 from memory and similar to Kubota 6000 or 7000M , in the rear end .
