Hey guys so just to make it clear this is a TEMPORARY solution. Please take it to a professional to have them do it correctly with safer equipment. The wires shouldn't be left exposed for long periods of time and you def don't want them getting all wet and ruining your electronic system incase rain gets under the seat somehow. This is just a temporary solution for somebody who needs to park their bike in public somewhere and can't get it installed correctly for a few days or weeks. Please make sure it is installed safely and correctly. Thanks !!
Bro using scissors to strip wires lmao
Right lol A wire cutter costs $5 at the depot. But f it lol he showed us the basics🤙🏾
Lol ya! I think keeping the tools as close to common tools as possible makes it easier for anybody watching :)
Meh. Wire strippers should be a common tool imho. Especially if you do work on your own vehicles or house. You can get a good pair of Milwaukee wire strippers for $30.00. I have three sets of wire strippers. But, that's cause I am an electrician. But, yeah. I have always kept a set of wire strippers for anything like this. Even before I became an electrician.
As an electrician watching this.... I am very amused ☺️🥹🫣🫢🤭🤫
I was waiting for someone to be on the same level of thought 😂😂😂
This kid doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing omg
Scissors! 😂
Do you use the key thing the set came with? I'd like to use it but its pretty big and the keyhole on mine is on the side exposed
congrats you just turned your bike into an electrical fire hazard. first off, FUSE that damn positive before connecting it to anything, secondly "stripped" lose wires connected directly to the battery terminals heat up and burn holes in plastic (ur battery body) thirdly, even though they may look cut nice and even you still need to heat shrink those un used wires or at the very least elec tape them off, its never a case of out of sight of mind with open wires. Thats just the basics bro. Your gambling with a nice bike and the odds are not in ur favor.
Thank bro! Will take it to a professional to have em do it correct then.
I'll also mention this in a pinned comment so other ppl r aware!
@@Richy.R6 nonsense. Go slap a fuse on the positive line and clean up those extra wires. You don’t need a professional to do it bud. Just watch a few videos on electronics and get yourself a multimeter. Once you have the basics down, you’ll be able to do soooo much cool shit with that knowledge. Keep trying buddy 👍
Dope video inexpensive loud alarm definitely will make thief not wanna deal with that but if they want it bad enough it's as good as gone but definitely will order thanks for the video brother ride safe
2:13 that looks like it connects to a 9v battery, probably a backup battery
curtis thank u! I was lost lol
Was about to say the same, its a backup incase your motorbike battery dies or shorts out, wise thing to have but could of been better incased instead of just the wire
damn right lol
You can also use the 9v battery instead of your motorcycle battery because it drains the motorcycle battery pretty fast
Yeah 5 min
After editing 😆😅🤣
No seriously great work
Keep it up
Thanks for the content
I'm concerned this thing go off when the motorcycle cover flaps with the wind. Anyone uses a cover outside with this alarm?
I just got my first bike, it's an old cruiser but can't wait to flip it and get an R6 but want to add accessories that will make it worth more to new riders who buy this from me. I already added USB and it's a 1986 lol
Just got this same alarm. I'd live to hook all the remote start and ignition lock up,but I don't want to cut into my stock wiring.
There are 2-wire connectors you can buy on Amazon that splice into your stock wires without cutting them. Super convenient.
Call you local bike shop or some one who knows how to but it should be installed with all wires connected to the proper wires
@burntdog8277 I've had it hooked up for months and works great. Just don't need remote start hooked up, just needed the alarm part done and that works perfect
@@Slevinlobell is it direct to battery
LAST IMPORTANT NOTE: been getting lots of feedback that the bike will die faster when u connect it this way. I always have mine connected to a Battery Tender. I highly recommend buying one if u let ur bike sit for more than 6 days at a time.
so how should it be connected? i dont think i should spend extra money to have a professional install it im too cheap Lol
@@joegates96 czcams.com/video/syE1tisghlw/video.html
@@joegates96 That's how to hookup the power to alarm use a spade like he said they're cheap for a whole set at like walmart or something. I'm not entirely sure if theres a way to connect them without drawing power from the battery (aka a parasitic draw). Since I'm not riding mines everyday, I installed a switch on mine and then hid it in a spot for me to reach that's not exposed. I'll link you a vid of someone who did a full installation. It's not completely difficult if you only plan on installing the lights and sounds, but the immobilizer and remote start is if you don't know what you're doing: czcams.com/video/syE1tisghlw/video.html
oh my! is that just easy?? oh my i thought that would be complicated, i sold it already to my friend
You fixed your Husky to a chair? I guess you dog is smarter than you 😜 ride safely
windchaser83 lol! She’s a very smart dog forsure.
Hahaha.. that's funny😂😂😂
I connected them to x3 9v small batteries instead to the bike and also I put the speaker in a spot where it's open so you can hear it
how did you do it? how long does it last?
When searching it, does it actually called motorcycle alarm?
I don't know if this is unnecessary but maybe if it give twice the security put 2 of those locks on the wheel unless only one can fit on it. But that just me trying to be creative
the mini battery terminals are for a 9volt backup in case someone cuts the main battery or it dies
how many CC
Post the link of where I can buy this alarm bro
Can you tell me wiring diagram
why didnt you install the keyless engine start?
hey! to be quite honest i dont really need it and didnt see the value in stressing out over all the wiring. thats just my personal preference tho!
I'm fairly certain that the remote start only lasts a few minutes and you have to put the key in anyways in order to ride your bike. I know some people like the remote start so they can warm up their bike during cold weather, but otherwise it's just a cool feature. Totally unnecessary, but a cool feature.
Thx
Hi, does it drain the battery? If it does how did you prevent it from happening again? Thanks.
I received the same kit some days ago, I haven't installed it yet, because I read reviews that it drains the battery really fast. Unfortunately, I ordered it without reading the reviews first.
My battery continues to die so I always have to charge it on the tender. I think it might be my alarm so I disconnected the alarm to see if that's what it is. I like my alarm but hate that my battery drains /=
Hey my bad I never saw this but yes it does drain ur battery. I have my bike connected to a battery tender at all times so I don't notice it but if u leave it for about a week without starting it'll probably die :/
The black wire with the black plastic is for a 9v battery
Cover the head of those colorful wires. They have voltage sometime.
That is really sensitive, do you think really strong winds will set it off?
hey it actually held up pretty well but keep this as a temporary solution. Theres def better ways to do this.
@@Richy.R6how do you adjust or disable the sensitivity cuz that's a battery killer.
@@rollotomassee9533if you bike has a AAA sized battery lol they hardly use any power I leave mine connected all the time and excessively check the bike by sounding the lock button and I’ve never even got close to draining the batter
Very good video
Thank u 😁
can you cut off the rest of the wires that are not needed??
Ofc lol unless you want to get technical and add shit... but other than its fine.
bruh thats a 9v battery for the red and black which means u dont need to connect it to your motorcycle battery
In r6... This instalación ... Pls god
i love you bro...keep up the vidoes...love your noobiness cause im the same...i want to install it too but no idea how too!
Thanks bro I hella needed this lol. Too many "GET THE RIGHT TOOLS" like bruh im just using stuff around the house who cares?!?!?! I will be posting some more noob vids soon hahaha !
Sick bike my friend
much appreciated!
@@Richy.R6 just got a new bike and im really interested to make it harder to be taken. Thank you
Of course!
Nice.... how about the battery life?
Heard rumors for this that their battery got drained fast.
Hey! So actually my battery did die pretty fast. After about a week and a half of no riding it kept dying. I got a new lithium ion batteri and its been fine. But If ur willing to spend a few extra bucks u can buy a battery tender for like $20.
@@Richy.R6 so connecting a 9v lithium battery stops from the motorcycles battery to drain? I’m asking because I just got this alarm system and not sure if I want to hook it up.
Wait so you’re battery died, or just the battery to the alarm ?
How has it lasted over the last 8 months?
Hi! It still works just fine. I believe it caused my lead acid battery to die which sucked.. however thats my fault bcuz I didn't wire one of those limiters to prevent it from dying. I use a lithium ion now and no issues
The wire you don't know about is for a 9 volt battery......
Ring connectors!!!! So cheap on Amazon. Then, no stripped wires!
Stella is beautiful
I'll let her know you said that:))) I'm sure she appreciates it haha
It is not that loud i really tough my ears will have pain
hm, mine is pretty loud atleast up close, maybe if u can find a really hidden spot somewhere on the outside it will be louder. but then you gotta worry about it getting wet.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
*Way to teach people how to be a hack lol* 👏👏👏 *congratulations*
Nice Love It Dude!
Im Currently Doing A Wrecked bike rebuild Series
on My New R6 Track Bike Check it out if you Get chance
i will forsure! im really interested in those videos. Then i can learn everything from the ground up lol! thank u!
Curious to see how the alarm is holding up i have an r6 2020 and want an alarm
How about read the instructions first
They didn’t come with instructions goof
If you just wanted the sound then there are other less invasive alarms out there.
Invasive man I want the whole world to wake up if my bike is being stolen or messed with now with that being said this shit seems very sensitive so with a bike cover and wind gust it's gonna be very Invasive 🤣
Why does no one do the engine start lol
lol tbh i think its alittle complicated and im not a proffesional so i am worried about messing something up. Especially since theres no videos on somebody doing it. I dont think its worth it for me bcuz i actually dont mind just starting the bike and going back inside for a couple of minutes yo let it warm up. plus i have a cover over the bike and would need to take it off before starting the bike anyways, might as well turn it on while im there. Its just preference!
@@Richy.R6 bro i tried it and my bike started smoking.... Well the blue wire lol
@@Rkayy24zz really?
ttv_romeo I just saw this. That’s crazy lol! How did u do that??? Is everything okay?
@@Rkayy24zz It's because the blue wire isn't the ground the black wire is so you grounded a hot wire and it made it catch fire.
No
Yes
@@Richy.R6 $20 alarm wired into a 12k bike? I wouldn't want to risk phantom electrical issues or a malfunctioning alarm that disables the bike.
@@oSnapMillerTime it’s temporary if u wanna just go to Walmart in a ghetto area. That’s all bro
Easy like my ex?
That’s why I always buy new bikes dumb people mess it up no clue what you are doing😅
Yup that’s why since 2019 it’s gone up in value and stills works like a beast
But I’d agree since I got my 2023 R3 and my 2019 R6 new 0 miles each.
You are so cute...
haa gayyyy
No offense. You wasted your time. Thieve pick it up and take it home. They won’t start it there
Ur right, it’s always a constant worry that they’ll just pick it up and take it :(((( I would recommend a tracker but at the end of the day just don’t leave ur bike anywhere !!!!! Always be next to it or leave it parked in ur driveway, and that’s when it’s safest :)
Painful. I couldn't get halfway
should go see a doctor then
