    Great video. I think the problem is individualism, and it's so deeply ingrained in our culture, I’m not sure a solution exists.
    I’ve noticed when someone with lived experience is platformed, it’s usually only once they’ve achieved something personally. And they’re only presented as an example to those of us at the bottom to learn from. It’s survivor bias, and it’ll only change once people come to accept that the world is not an equal playing field, and we are not individually responsible for our difficulties. If you succeed, it's not because you're wiser, harder-working, or more talented than anyone else. And if you fail, it's not because you're lazy, stupid or crazy.
    So I think the issue is a false set of beliefs, instilled within us from birth, that must be challenged before anything can even begin change. But then those of us who best understand the problem, are also least likely to be heard by the exact people we’d need to reach.

    One that gets me is the use of the phrase "power sharing" even in contexts that they shouldn't have power over you in to begin with.
