I'm a Christian in India, I live in Maharashtra and almost all my friends are Hindu except a couple. No one ever bullied me for my religion. They celebrate Christmas with me as I celebrate Diwali with them.

You will seldom find shopkeepers pricing it right.
However a few are not good at bargaining and at that time the shopkeeper makes merry.
