I legit cried the first time I heard the song. It spoke to something I was directly dealing with internally at the time. All of his songs do that actually ❤ I think he is an incredible writer, but also his voice and tone just hits you at the soul level. At least for me 😁

Avi always has been and always will be an exceptional, talented singer with a gift like none I’ve ever heard before. It’s taken me a while to get into his stuff because it’s so DIFFERENT than what I was used to w/ PTX. To be honest, I was a little bit upset that he left but I can’t judge him because there are reasons I don’t know about. Anyway, I’m able to see a whole different side to his talent now and it’s amazing! Also, Kyle, you’re one of my favorite reactors. You truly love reacting! I love watching your face and the enjoyment and even the awe on your face when you react! You’re also very knowledgeable and we appreciate that. Thanks for your reactions!

His voice is so powerful, rich, smooth & soul touching. You realize how he suppressed the piwer during his PTX days not to over piwer the other voices.(Mitch does that as well) He has a whole EP that came out ....its very eclectic diverse music. The words to the songs show his struggles & overcoming them. I love for you to react to all his music...its a mix of Americana, folk, blues, country & soul...its a new genre. I love every song. His songs I'll get By & It Knows Me are amazing as well ( they all are lol) Thanks for the reaction.
Most people do a day or two before general release, some do a week. The Album is coming out soon. He has just done all the signing of the pre-orders. If you want to hear his voice in a movie, he did the Basso Profundo work for the new "Blade Runner". Peace, Love and Light Kyle.

I'm so very glad your patrons gave you the go-ahead to post the exclusives here. It would seem you have some wonderful people there, very thoughtful. I'm incredibly grateful to them, and you of course. Extra money is very hard to come by for my struggling little family, but I do so enjoy your reactions, and was eagerly looking forward to seeing the PTX shift to include solo works, Avi's in particular. I was bummed to find this video was a Patreon exclusive, but understood why it would be that way. Seeing this on CZcams was an unexpected surprise, and a most welcome one!
I have two suggestions for Avi that I feel are his two best songs (imo). They get me deep in my feels for two very different reasons, but both are equally as important to me. The first is Quarter Past Four, the epitome of reassurance and inspiration. The second is Otherside, an ode to nature and all its wondrous glory.
To end this wordy comment, I'll leave one more song suggestion, one from Scott this time: I Should Tell Ya Momma on You (Red Cover). This cover shows off the immense range and ability Scott possesses. It's so impressive. The song is originally by a homeless man and it went semi-viral some years back.

I was so heartbroken when I saw he left Pentatonix though I did understand why he felt he had to and they are still going on strong. But I LOVE what he’s coming up with as a solo artist.

he was in germany 2-3 weeks ago i was at his concert it was so awesome he played a lot of new songs that nobody had heard and he did sing house of the rising sun live!

Avi is amazing in that. The long long notes as well as how he uses the mike. Pulling away when he is harmonizing, moving to different spots for effect, changing the shape of his mouth to create the necessary sounds. Kevin also. If you watch a lot of beat boxers you know what he is doing but it's rare to be able to watch a bass do what Avi does in this piece.

You should react to Falling in Reverse The original The Drug in Me then react to the reimagined one they just released. I think you will like how completely different they are.
Yeah, makes me want to paint blue stripes on my face and grab a sword. With Pentatonix Avi was primarily part of the beat boxing background support and they didn't use him to actually sing much. It's what made such a great sound for them, but rather wasted Avi's full talent. His is the only voice on this piece. All the voices you here are his, I should say. I really like the deep bass background. You can hear the same effect on the "Wallace clip" of the soundtrack for Blade Runner 2049. Some clips call it Sea Wall Blade Runner. Anyway, Avi did that one before everyone knew him.
