- In this video, I show you guys how to repack the silencer on a two-stroke. I am repacking an FMF turbine core two silencer with sky racing silencer packing. This silencer does have a spark arrestor in it, but the process will be the exact same for a silencer without a spark arrestor. For all tool, information look down below!

How often do you repack your silencer?
Power Sports Builds never have haha but now I know how to! Thanks bro
Just once on my 250F, I used the FMF pink shreaded fiber glass...works well.
for example, just buy the silincer, can you or not? For example, how much money can I have, brother?
@@kirangan6366 ok?
40-50 hours
I have Never repacked my silencer... Thanks for putting this video together. I just ordered the packing for both of my KTM's... Will be repacking very soon when the materials arrive. Thanks, Weav
Awesome video bro! Just bought my first dirtbike , the previous owner told me he had repacked it a while ago but I’m thinking of doing it again just to be sure , helped a lot. I think this is becoming my go to channel for bike maintenance:D
Thanks dude I appreciate that much more videos to come!
My 1st time 'much appreciated very simple tutorial ' respect
In the middle of repacking mine on my '89 Pilot for the first time. Thanks for the video.

Great video, easy to follow
Thanks man a lot better than Rocky Mountain’s tutorial
Nice video. Thanks for the help!
Another great video. Thanks for making these very helpful.
No problem glad people are enjoying them!
I am restoring a 1972 Suzuki RV90 and your 2 stroke videos have been incredibly helpful.
Great video man. I'm about to do the exact same thing on my new to me, 09, 300 xc-w. It needs it.
Thanks Adam.
Perfect timing haha gonna repack mine tomorrow
Awesome, hope this video will help!
@@adampaganelli4891 im sure it will
Adam Thank you, easy!
No problem!
Adam I have a powercore 2 with the spark arrestor. Can’t the rivets be drilled and replaced to repack that end too? Seems like repacking only one end is only accomplishing half the goal.
Hell yeah!!!
Thanks man!
Do all bikes have this packing (including KXF250)? And if so mines a 2010 so should I change it or look at it at least. I don't really mind the loudness of m uh binr but if itll run better that would be great to know.
Any recommendations for a stuck can? Previous owner dented the pipe section trying to separate them. I have it soaking in some penetrate. Dont know what breaks down the silicone best. Some one put way too much of it.
thanks mate, teaching my 10yo son how to change his own on his new yz85
Did you video the repacking and putting back together?
1:43 makes me think of a smokers lungs. lmao
Haha that’s a good way to think of it
@@adampaganelli4891 Really loving the content, it would be interesting to see how a lot of the coatings you use (like cerekote) react to heat, like on an exhuast. :) 🔥
@Badass Busta Brown that's what I thought. 👍
what is the effect on sound if the packing is super compact/heavy?
I have a question! Why wouldn’t you put 4 stroke packing in it? Like would it stop the air flow or make it more silent? Just wondering! Thanks
Hello, I would to start the repacking on my cr125r. I would like to know where you found that specific silencer. I've been looking for it for the past month and can still not find that exact exhaust. If you could send me a link to it, that would be great 👍
Hi Adam, I was just wondering if I could use wall insulation material instead of the 2 stroke packing material? Do u think it’ll hold up just as long as the 2 stroke packing material?
I hav heard of people trying to use it before but I have never tried so I don’t want to steer you in the wrong direction.
Does it make it quieter
Is that from a trx250r
You can take a propane torch and burn off all the crap from the spark arrested screen. Then take a brush from a gun cleaning kit and scrape off the remains
I'm rebuilding a YZ125 and my cylinder is in good shape no scratches but no cross pattern it's just move should I be worried?
You should be fine If you score up the cylinder with a hone or some scotch beite
Brite
@@adampaganelli4891 Scotch-Brite in a cross pattern?
@@adampaganelli4891 I'm afraid to use a hone.
Hey bud can u help .me out on 'a kart i got on a trade..its 98 cr 2stroke 125cc
Hey man not sure how late I am
do I need the silicone?
yes you do
Zach walls. One of my best friends in life small world bro. Waiting on him to get his 250 together so we all can ride. Austin worthey on facebook. Friend of zach walls haha
I repack mine as soon as it gets too loud to pass sound checks.
That’s a good idea
