You're the best Jay. Anytime I need to do something I check your videos first. They are great. 👍

Instead of poking the holes out I used a blow torch and touched the inner core on my muffler. After burning off all the carbon/oil I ran a wire brush over it and it was good and clean.

High, I have a question, I have a ktm exc 125 and a friend of mine told me I could repack my silencer (fmf power core) with just half of the muffler packing material resulting in not only sound but also power increase... My question is.. would you reccommend this procedure or is it just bad for the bike? Cheers.

I'm trying to quiet down my ktm 300, I have a FMF shorty and a powercore, both repacked, both still pretty noisy (almost the same noise), was curious what an OEM muffler looks like inside, its a pipe with holes in it wrapped in fibreglass just like the FMF, sigh.

Jay Great video! What kind of silicone are you using on the silencer? Old guy here trying to learn how to ride and fix an old KTM at 50.

does anyone ever get spooge leaking from the pipe/silencer area and/or out of the end of the silencer? my 23 150 xcw just started doing that with the fmf turbine core 2.1, took the fmf silencer apart after 20 hours, looks like they use 2 types of packing on the originals but can only buy 1 type of packing, fmf said that was true but failed to give me any type of reason why.

if it really bugs you then search up how to rejet, but i have a 22 yz125 and it does the same thing, it’s doing that cuz of the two cycle you chose for your premix and how hard u ride, thicker oil won’t burn without heat but it’s a two stroke so you wanna see more oil than less

      Dirt Bike TV thank you!
But I guess my question was which one? Looks like the only have before 2011? I have a 2017, same pipe as in the video. Do you know which specific one to buy?
Sorry for the hassle. But I appreciate the response!
