      pete lee It is impossible, even for a jedi, to have the reaction time to deflect bullets coming from a minigun.
      Why? Because even if he managed to deflect one, theres 30 more coming from all side at once at extreme velocity. And a single hit is enough to kill him or at least weaken him enough that the next salvo will annihilate him.
      Miniguns are the best against jedis

That's like saying the distance between the Earth and the Sun is so far that you can't use miles or kilometers to rate it, you have to use astronomical units. Miles, kilometers and AU are all units of distance, and Fahrenheit, Celsius and Kelvin are all units of temperature, so it doesn't matter which one you used. Hell, if you wanted to you could go ahead and make up your own temperature scale and use that! Sure, it won't make any sense to anyone else, but nothing says you can't do that.

    So, basically, the Scout from Team Fortress 2 would be an excellent Jedi hunter. He's got a shotgun-esque weapon on him at all times, with some firing very rapidly (Force-A-Nature), can run something like 21 miles per hour for extended periods of time without getting winded, can somehow jump in midair (with the total height of two jumps being about a Scout and a quarter), often carries automatic pistols, can use a specific club to jump a third time, can jump higher than normal with one specific gun, can move at about 33 mph after dealing enough damage with one gun, can use another to jump five times in a row after also dealing enough damage, becomes able to dodge minigun fire with ease after drinking a specific radioactive pop/soda, becomes able to deal 1.35 times more damage after drinking another radioactive pop/soda (from the same company, no less),and can even heal wounds by covering his foes in radioactive milk or using a specific pistol.
    TL;DR: Scout from TF2 could kill a Jedi. Have you seen the guy? The stuff he can pull is just nuts.

    I've only just found this video, but I had put thought into the idea having seen a separate video on the matter.
    Solid slugs would become a mess on contact with a lightsaber, or be deflected with the Force.
    Scatterguns, shotguns and similar weapons would present more of a challenge, since Jedi might struggle against the multiple fragments coming their way.
    Automatic weapons would also potentially present a challenge, since there would be a stream of firepower to contend with.
    By the above logic, an automatic or repeating shotgun could be a very good anti-Jedi weapon. This isn't factoring in the weapon being ripped from your hands with the Force, that's an entirely separate discussion.

  • @90lancaster

    Stun Blasts from Multiple Angles would work as would a Microwave or sonic weapon, The trick is likely variety and multiple fields of fire and if they throw up a force field (something some Jedi can't even do) then you change to low power - high rate of fire and pepper the shield until it drops - if they are reflected they'd only sting not kill but a a dozen sting would distract the Jedi from being able to concentrate and when they are down you can lob a stun grenade at them or keep firing until they are unconscious and then once they are disarmed just double tap them to the back of the head or slit their throat with you knife.
    I'd not recommend using acid throwers - and anti riot foam might be tricky - but another way to have great effect is to use droids to shoot at them as they can't pick up on the mental impressions of the shooter and so are more likely to be caught unawares when shot at from multiple angles - also good quality droids could be configured to be immune to their own blasts making knock back blaster bolts less effective.
    A conventional beam Laser from middle distance might also work well especially while they are distracted.
    Preparing your ground - like getting droids to lay land mines or Claymores is also a possible plan. As might be sabotaging fallen droid bodies with high explosives.
    Air burst Concussion missiles fired from medium (out of site range) using GPS or laser Range finding would also work - as the Jedi wouldn't see them coming from a hi angle and if they are going faster than sound they'd hit before they heard them too.
    Failing that get them to land and drop a rock on them - a very big rock fired from a mass driver would kill anyone as they'd be unable to get out of the range of the impact and even the strongest force user is unlikely to be able to make a shield strong enough to survive that. even if they saw it coming (which they likely wouldn't). It depends on how much you are prepared to sacrifice to kill them.
    Like sucker them onto a space station and then blow it up with them still on board.

    • @sanguisdominus
      @sanguisdominus Před 7 lety +5

      It'd be complete overkill, even if you threw in Palpatine and Vader, they'd have to contend with an Imperium that exists in a universe where war permeates every aspect, they'd have to deal with incredibly powerful Psykers that make force abilities look like child's play - force lightning? Great, how about spending an eternity in the Warp? How about half your army just exploding into a red mist? How about your army being driven momentarily insane and slaughtering eachother? All are more than possible with a powerful enough Psyker, which most companies have multiple of.
      As for numbers - a Battlefleet contains plenty of Guardsmen, ready to deploy to a planet's surface at a moment's notice, with an armoured might that makes the most badass of Empire vehicles look like Smart Cars. I mean, there's not much chance of a Galactic Empire force breaching a well dug in line of Guardsmen, Baneblades or Shadowswords - that's if they could even reach that line before being torn to pieces by artillery.
      Then there are the Astartes - like... I'm not even gonna go into that, a company of Astartes against as many Storm Troopers as you like, my money's on Astartes.
      As far as the fleets go - I'd love to see what a Cyclonic Torpedo would do to a Super Star Destroyer.

      the IOM is very very slow with the responding time took them hundreds of years to send troops to the tau over all it still favors the IOM in ground battles but space is more even I do think the IOM would win but it wouldn't be a stomp now if it was clone wars era it would be another story

    you can one up the automatic slug thrower you can use and automatic shotgun with a drum magazine where one round would cause issues hundreds of smaller ones would be alot harder to block especially since the spread out.

    I love this video, but I have just one problem. I recalled that there was a Sith that , to show his power, stepped out into the rain with his lightsaber ignited and deflected every single raindrop. I cannot remember his name but I do know that the average raindrop Falls at 20 mph, and while that isn't that much , this Sith deflected hundreds upon hundreds of them and came back without a single drop of water on him. so I don't think that your method of attack or work on him. but I still love the video! great job

    It was actually mentioned somewhere in canon material that during the conflicts between Jedi and Mandolorians, that Mandolorians preferred using slugthrowers for the same reasons that were outlined in the video.

    I always thought they could deflect the blaster bolts because they could see the bolts being shot at them because there tracers fking red, yellow, blue, and green. Even I could see it.

    a Federation Type 2 Phaser ( since ST-TOS ) rules, especially when set to a relatively tight disperse angel ... the beam travels near light speed & even if the Jedi can block (some of) it with the light saber surface, the rest will stun to vaporize the Jedi ( & persons around) depending on chosen setting

    One issue thought, how effective are physical bullets against shields? The force in a non explosive bullet is small, high damage because it is in a tiny focused spot, but a shield should have a very easy time to negate that.
    The same question should apply to force push and the like.

      where are you gonna get the extra barrels you have to do a barrel change after 250 rounds

    • @budmeister
      @budmeister Před 6 lety

      The way Germans were taught to do was to change a barrel at every reload, and they carried 2 spare barrels, so this would give the barrels time to cool off enough.

    I'd probably go for a handheld Railgun. The Biggest parts on those are, to my knowledge, the capacitors which I guess can be extremely downsized through use of the Technologies of Star Wars.

    Mossberg 590, with a bull pup conversion kit. Same barrel length with the overall length reduced by 20 inches. Plus, it holds 9 rounds. For an affordable weapon to fuck up a Jedi, you could do worse.

    I remember something from an anime of all things, I think it was called Aldnoah Zero. The enemy mechs completely outclassed anything we have. This guy's plasma sword was detonating the HE round from the heat, and destroying the ballistic properties of the solid AP rounds making them fly all over the place something call the Leidenfrost effect. Wouldn't that happen with a slug thrower? Personally I would pick up a Lasgun/pistol or perhaps a plasma gun from 40k. 40k plasma is a bit different then Star Wars.
