The biggest problem with migrants, refugees or not, is reciprocation - they expect their host country to respect them but they often don't do so in return.
And that why i and many other ppl dont want them here.
There's also just the mindset of resentment among the people who have less looking at those who have more. They don't look at themselves and their own country asking. "What did we do wrong and how can we improve?"
No they look at the richer people saying. "They STOLE this wealth, they don't deserve this wealth, if they would just give it to us we could have the same as them, the things promised to us in Hollywood movies. It's not fair, so why should I care about them?"
And of course Hollywood movies, Social Influencers and so on on TikTok are complete liars selling falsehoods. That's not what it's like living here for the average person... But they don't know that. They watch Hollywood movies and use Tiktok, so they think that is what they deserve and should have and it was stolen, so they are morally right to take it back by any means necessary and spit on the hosts.
And of course the big irony is that... the western world HAS been given them so much stuff, are constantly giving their countries billions of dollars in aid that could have been turning these countries into paradise. But their own corrupt leaders has screwn them over, pocketed the money for themselves, and send their own kids to the most fancy school in Switzerland and get them fancy acting jobs in Hollywood..... So yeah... And we here in Europe are too stupid to see it and too stupid to just say. "Yeah no... Zero migration from you guys. Sort your own shit out."
Because it's all about expectations and envy, not contribution nor assimilation.
Unlike populations entering en masse do not benefit the countries into which they demand entry for *their* expectations. They simply accuse scream complaint when not immediately accommodated.
That has to stop, they are owed nothing and the pie-in-the-sky unrealistic expectations and demands to be "supported" and subsidized by the generous West go unacknowledged.
No more aid nor migration. Fix your own houses first, and that means looking into the mirror and changing your own culture and mindsets.
The West, Japan, and South Korea all did this. No excuses accepted from those corrupt and inept place any further accepted.

Italy is a beautiful country with people who are chill and delicious cuisine. I'm a Catholic who had been to Rome and the Vatican in 2018. It will be a shame if the country were to be taken over by foreign culture and religion. Imagine if chiesa's are turned into different use like the Hagia Sophia and the Dome of the Rock.
Not a single country in the entire world is obligated to “take-in” people of other nations. All it does is bring upon its own citizens more crime, poverty and hardship. As an immigrant who had to fight really hard to be here and nowadays i can say proudly that i got a wonderful job and my own flat, all i can say is that i agree with this decision. It wasn’t easy for me, but for most fellas out there it seems like a complete joke. I work in a hotel/hostel. And sometimes we receive people from social security. I’ve seen people who doesn’t work at all, just getting paid by the government and they stay for weeks paying a 4 stars hotel with public money. And these guys are not even looking for a job! It’s absolutely ridiculous since I’m working hard to get my cash. I sure wouldn’t want these people coming up to my country as well

AS an indian guy who has legally been living in Germany for the last 2 years, this is a good step. Because for me, I had to complete my bachelor's and complete some working experience, learn some german and THEN got a student VISA for Germany. When I came here, I realised there are a lot of freeloaders in this country who do absolutely nothing all day, have their babies on the street, do not like the culture, and get a German Passport eventually after years of living there and doing absolutely nothing. Yes, there are refugees who want to have a good life in Germany and actually contribute to the society, but there are some I know who I know have just come here to get free money and leech from the government. Another good thing Germany can do is grant entry to the refugees and eventually after a couple of years if they are still not working/integrated, then there is no point in giving them a passport. I personally know people who have been in Germany for years, haven't paid anything in taxes as such, has a family of 10 people coming here, illegally. Makes NO sense to me
(A german here) I met so many very intelligent people with a migration background, who had to do the shittiest jobs, because their degrees (most of them had the bachelor or masters) wasn't accepted here, while i see assholes yelling: ''F*** Germany and their slutty women'' in the streets and they get handed the money on a gold plate. Everything was fine at first, Europeans were welcoming of immigrants who contribute to their countries, and immigrants were grateful for the opportunity Europeans provided. But one specific group of immigrants starting taking advantage of their host's kindness and started doing a lot of unpeaceful things, that's why so much of Europe is turning anti-immigrant.

Aside from those arriving as tourists, only skilled immigrants who can immediately perform in a first world economy on arrival should be allowed in as temporary residents for school or work only.
Even then, they should not be given permanent residency or citizenship, ever, but be required to return home after a period.
That would rightully accommodate Europeans so THEY actually benefit and their kindness not constantly exploited by useless squatters who refuse to respect European decency.

As a polish immigrant I’m all for that. I remember moving to Austria when I was 8yrs old and the racism was real and in general polish ppl were treated like 3rd class ppl (everywhere). Now I’m so proud of myself and my mother who learned German in just couple of months. I’m fluent in 3 languages and a scientist, while some of my friends parents who spent 30yrs here still can’t speak the language and simply won’t assimilate cause there’s no need for that….HOW is that possible??

As a person who grew up abroad, came back to their home country and wants to move to another country I want to clarify a few things:
1- There are 2 types of immigrants, one that moves to a country but refuses to learn the language, hangs out only with immigrants like them and doesn't integrate to the host country
2- The opposite, learn the language, adapts and after a certain period you can't even tell the difference between them and a local.
I have always been the latter and I believe this should be the default. The issue is because of type 1 immigrants, type 2 immigrants (who usually have more qualifications) are being refused. It's a double edged sword, the type 1's have nothing to lose so they hop on a boat and illegally move there. Because of them the type 2s face more difficulties when they want to move in legal ways while preserving a certain standard of living.
That said, I believe the solution lies in host countries performing more picky background checks and instead of brushing off people or helping them as soon as they arrive.
But if India wants to implement CAA some EU countries accuse why this double standards?

Illegals should be kept in detention centers and repatriated, otherwise this invasion will never end. Europe has to follow QUatar's policies: migrant workers can come in but no citzenship or benefits at all and they have to leave when the contract expires. Eueopeans have worked their asses off to reach the level they are at now. The continent is not a huge Red Cross soup kitchen for the whole world to come. Its not anti-immigration its just stopping illegal immigration. Here in Australia we have over half million legal immigrants per year, but we dont allow illegal immigration, and send them offshore, just as Italy wants to do. Off course Geography benefits Australia, unlike Italy and rest of Europe.
Yeah, but your high court has just ruled it illegal to hold them indefinitely and that regardless of criminal backgrounds, they should be released into your beautiful country.
@@tonyhaynes9080 The government will legislate around that ruling to effectively overrule the high court and will do so with support from the main opposition parties.

Our government might have stopped the boats, so now all these refugees are just flying in. Half a million legal immigrants is too many. Unsupportable as there is not enough housing and the burden of social welfare is ruining the economy.

The Latvian immigration policy should be applied to all EU countries. Why should we accept immigrants who do not agree with EU values and politics?
