You picked up the Bee Gee vibe right away! Andy is the youngest Gibb brother. Bee Gees are background vocals. They also wrote and produced a lot of Andy’s music. Andy is a younger version of Barry. He died when he was 30.
Barry, Robin, Maurice & Andy wrote Shadow Dancing, but they all didn't sing on it. Backing vocals are; Andy, Barry & John Sambataro. Barry also did harmony vocals.
@@jewls9697 Andy wasn't a Bee Gee, so he never "broke away" & went solo. Andy was born in 1958, the same year Barry, Robin & Maurice became the Bee Gees. By the time Andy was 10, his brothers were internationally known. When Andy grew up & wanted to be a solo artist, his brothers were very supportive. Sadly, Andy’s mental health issues, cocaine & alcohol addiction, took a terrible toll. He was dropped by his label, fired from a lead role in a broadway play & from co-hosting the TV show, Solid Gold. His brothers kept trying to help. He went to rehab & seemingly kicked cocaine, but continued to abuse alcohol. He moved in with brother Robin, in England. Barry got him a meeting with a label there, but Andy didn’t even show up for it. Still trying to help Andy, in early 1988, they announced he would become a Bee Gee, beginning with their next album & 1989 tour, but he died before that happened (March 10, 1988, of myocarditis, brought on by prolonged cocaine abuse).

I grew up on the Bee Gee's music and loved it but i had the biggest crush on Andy , he was so talented and his passing was so sad .
Andy had a feathered hair cut. Yes he is the younger Brother of The Bee Gees and was a solo artist but did at times sing on stage with his brothers. They wrote, sang backup and produced his music. Sad that he died at 30 of complications from drug use. Thanks for sharing.

Andy was 9 years younger than the twins and was a solo artist. Barry announced Andy was going to become a BeeGees in January 1988 but he passed in March before they started the album One which was to be the first with him. Instead they dedicated it to Andy. There are a few sad songs on that album but beautiful.

Yes, Andy sounds like a BeeGee (which stood for Brothers Gibb), because his 3 older brothers created the BeeGee group. He sounded most like his oldest brother, Barry. He was very popular when I was in high school during the 2nd half of the 70s, but as others have said in prior comments, he passed away very young. The only Gibb left now is Barry.

When I was young (8ish) I dreamt of growing up, changing my name to "Tina" (no clue why that name specifically!) and marry Andy Gibb. I, along with half the country, had a massive crush on him! His brothers were the Bee Gees. Andy was never one of the group, he went out on his own. He died in March 1988 at 30 yrs old. I stayed home from school...my mom knew better than to argue with me. OMg I was devastated!!! He was a massive talent. Died way too young. Great reaction!

Andy was my favorite of the Brother's Gibb he was very talented in his own right no one can take that away from him. He was oh so sexy. Sadly he passed away at 30 yrs. old. His brother Barry is the only one left, Barry said in an interview that he and Andy were not on good terms when Andy died and that was something he had to live with for the rest of his life yup i tend to agree with Barry, people said Andy lived in Barry's shadow umm no Andy was a solo artist he didn't live in anyone's shadow.
