“Shadow Dancing” was a big hit during the summer of 1978. I was a 22 year old black woman with a bad sense of rhythm and this song was guaranteed to always get me dancing on the dance floor. Andy Gibb was the perfect example of “blue eyed soul”. He had a beautiful voice and with his brothers (the Bee Gees) singing backup this song was a big hit during a summer that had so many good songs. People make fun of the disco era, but the late 1970s had the most amazing music.

@JamelAkaJamel Andy Gibb was the baby brother. He was so talented. He had his own solo career this was his solo this was not done with the beegees as their band but I believe the brothers are on this one. He had many hits. Solo Career
I think he always wanted to be with his older brothers.
The brothers were in the background on this one they've seen together many times Andy I think always wanted to be a member of the actual main bee gees band. You could tell sometimes in the videos of documentaries that they did or interviews you could see almost a sadness in Andy. We're up with these guys and Andy was very talented but he also had issues and he had a broken heart. It's too bad it was a tragedy that he died so young. He was dating Victoria principal from the television show Dallas. he loved her he ended up with a bad drug problem and I believe he died of a heart attack.

Wasn't old enough to go out dancing but I had posters of him plastered all over my room and listened to this album for hours! Couldn't wait for the new Teen Beat and Tiger Beat magazines came out with more pictures of Andy🥰😍🤩🥰😍🤩

One of those miraculous collabs between Andy, his BG brothers, and Albhy Galuten, all of whom were the cogs of the machine that created all of the BG’s smashes on the “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack. Pure solid gold DNA! They have us the grooves of good feelings. All geniuses. Andy…gone too soon! The song never gets old, you can play it hundreds of times, try it. Thanks for doing this one J!

They did!!! All of the older brothers supported their little brother. But this song... SMH... It's the FUNK!!! This song is so good. So danceable, yet there was so much emotion going on in the song too, that you had to take pause to just feel. I love it! It's my favorite song by Andy. Lyrics, music, harmonies, arrangement... EVERYTHING!!! But I loved everything Andy and Bee Gees, so... You have to give it to the brothers. They knew how to put together a song from head to toe. Their music has so many layers. They were MASTERS!!!
