There will NEVER EVER be anyone like them again ❤
Maurice & That bass are FIRE 🔥!!!
Always been the best part of this song.
From the bown bown bowns (foot tapping) to the doodit dahdoodit da dootdit da doodits (shoulder rolls).
Play it again Maurice, play it again. 💃🪩
70s and 80s will always have my heart. Lived it and loved it. Just listening takes me back to those days! 💞
The best times!
Ditto
Same 💜🥰💜🥰
maurice is killin it on the bass too
I believe the rhythm at the beginning and through the song was inspired by how their car sounded going over a certain bridge! Go figure.
I wish I could go back to those times, best years of my life!! Great music and great times!
We were lucky to be part of that time!
They had a successful career between 1967 to 1972, then fell out of style and couldn’t get their music played. They were considered a has been 60’s group. They decided to record in Miami where Eric Clapton had successfully recorded a comeback album. The first Miami album didn’t get attention, so their management sent JIVE TALKIN to radio stations with a plain white label to avoid disc jockeys’ prejudice.... and it worked. Another #1 from the same album that you must react to is the highly acclaimed FANNY BE TENDER. It was named after the housekeeper at the Miami mansion their management had rented for them. They said they were trying to come up with a name to use when she happened to walk through the room. She became a bit of a star in Bee Gees fan club circles. What an honor to have been included in one of their songs! That’s Derek John “Blue” Weaver on the keyboards. One may be an ARP 2600. Whatever it was, it was certainly state of the art when this was recorded and released in 1975. Thanks for reacting!!!
As a kid I used to pretend I was dancing with John Travolta to this song on a lighted dance floor and a disco ball on the ceiling in my bedroom. Gotta love the 70's!!
Barry came up with the beat of this song from crossing bridges in Florida. Listen to that base!!!
Singing and whispering - he’s talking to you lightly. 💜💕💜💕🔥🔥
The best years of my life , these guys were so upbeat. Loved the 70s and 80s. The Music these days needs to be abolished.
Don 't know if you know, all of their shows were truly live, no lip syncing or recordings in the background.
I would love to see your reaction to December 1963 by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
Poor Robin was the sickly twin. It was a vibe I was an itty bitty in the world...but I do remember making up entire dance routines to them in my living room.
Robin and Maurice were twins.... Music Trivia. Yet Andy was the best brother as the youngest, with Shadow Dancing even though Barry stole the spotlight. They were like a whole dynasty episode in a band
You are correct. They were so natural and didn't have to force anything or do any special tricks. It's just talent.
Hope you’ve watched their documentary. Barry talks about how this song came about.
Oh my I remember this super smooth grove love it the same as when it came out back in the 70s greatest times in music history 😊
This would be considered one of the first bands that used studio tricks, All of the voices are falsetto which back in the day we used to make fun of a little. The music is catchy and easy to dance to and that’s really what made them famous and Saturday Night Fever didn’t hurt.
Great reaction! Glad they are here to stay!
You are absolutely right- anyone can listen to the Bee Gees!!
Never a bad song! Love The Bee Gees!
Barry was know for enjoying some smokey treats, Robin often did amphetamines....& Mo had problems with alcohol for many years😎.
Love your John Travolta moves.
LOL that little break at the end is one of my favorite parts of the song too.
They make it look easy, even all them high notes
Yes!!
I love your reactions, please react to I started a Joke, Words, Massachusetts !!!
If you haven't already, you really should watch the movie Saturday Night Fever with a young John Travolta. It was his first, if not one of his first starring rolls.
I recommend that you watch the official video of the most iconic Bee Gees song: "Stayin' Alive", I'm almost sure you've heard it in a movie, but you didn't know it was theirs.
❤️❤️❤️
“Homie Squared Shirt” 💀😂
First off, if I have a bad day or feel a little lonely, I can come to your channel and you instantly lift my spirit. I actually laugh out loud cause you have a great sense of humor.
Next, I love it when you listen to the songs from when I was a kid! It makes me proud to know that you promote them and like them.
Much love, ROCK ON~
🔥 🔥
Listen to 1989 rap group 3rd Bass, "Stepp
in' to the A.M." for amazing funky bass guitar! and 1980 Jazz Trumpeter Tom Browne's " Funkin for Jamaica". You will not be disappointed!
Also listen to the Bee Gee's youngest brother Andy Gibb. He was a great singer too
They call it Falsetto. ((the way Barry sings). The two brothers to our lefy of Barry are twins. The one next to Barry (Robin) has an amazing voice and plays no instruments, the one furthest is Maurice (he is credited b y Barry for their harmony) and he plays 5 instruments. They only sang songs they wrote. Out of 4 brothers the Bee Gees, had a younger brother Andy Gibb . Barry is the oldest and only brother still alive. They also have a sister in there somewhere. lol
Robin doesn't play instruments on stage, with a few exceptions, but he played guitar and piano and a few others
Robin played many types of instruments but only a few times on stage.
@@Zlata1313 My bad, you're right. I read somewhere that he didn't play any., anywhere.
The sister is the oldest.
Love the dancing!
They occasionally did drugs but never continuously or addictions.
I remember them saying in one interview that they got hold of some drug that the Beatles reportedly had taken. Barry added the three brothers looked at each other and decided to flush it down the toilet. 🤣 Maurice got AA help for his alcoholism in early 1990's, when his brothers and wife Yvonne formed a united confrontation, and Mo kicked his addiction😍. Kept up his twice weekly meeting at AA, invited his support group to his renewal of vows wedding with Yvonne. His last decade, he enjoyed good health, renewed creative energy, and joyful family times. God bless/rest his soul, Robin's and Andy's.
❤️👍😁
I believe it’s called Tremolo.
I loved the Bee Gees and still do. and did you know that they played in an episode of Full House. it was so awesome when they played in an episode. I loved watching Full House and it's so sad that Bob Saget died.
Yessir
The man’s voice has wings!
👏💪💪
Review Fanny,be tender with my love
You like good music, react to Chris Blue on the voice 2017,he won but this guy can sang,it is beautiful, please react, listen to all his songs he sings on the show
Swanging
You’re funny
As much as you like the falsetto in Barry's voice you'd really like Fanny Be Tender.
Tragedy.
Love So Right.
For Whom The Bell Tolls (in memory of their younger brother Andy Gibb.) The pain in Barry and Robin's voice make them sound even more different.
React to Chris Blue,on the voice 2017 he can sang,I know you like good singers, you will love him
If they did any drugs at all, maybe a little weed......i never heard of them doing ANY drugs and i wouldn't expect it of them, TBH.
Barry got into weed, Robin got into pills and Mo was an alcoholic. Brother Andy had a cocaine problem. Barry said alot of the music had some drug influence but his wife would ever put up with any serious drugs.
Greatest reaction channel out there
First
I think your looking for "falsetto" - for whisper singing?
All that orange juice and no vodka. Lol
Being from England and growing up in Australia, they didn’t know what “jive” meant.
They have another brother
