Ask 1000 women between the ages of 10 and 90 (during the 70s) who their favorite singer-crush was, and chances are really high that one of the BeeGee boys would be on the list. It's no surprise they had so many hits! They could sing, dance, and looked great doing it *lol*!
Yes, Tragedy hit number 1 in 1979. We did have some music back in the day. I think you would enjoy hearing their "You Should Be Dancing".
Only the BeeGees can rival the Beatles as far as being prolific writers of hit music
Fanny Be Tender.
You Should Be Dancing.
Nights On Broadway.
You Win Again.
Love You Inside Out.
My World.
Words.
Living Eyes.
Run To Me.
For Whom The Bell Tolls.
I'm 70. We had the greatest music ever. Love seeing young people discover and enjoy it.
The explosion sound was done by Barry! There is a video on youtube, check it out. Next......
"Bodyguard", Robin sings lead. 🔥🔥🔥
Love that video, it's hilarious. XD
@@goblinqueen4991 Its funny you are the goblin queen. My grandsons name is Jareth. 😁
@@brendaallen1250 Oh, that's awesome. Labyrinth is one of my favorite films (the combo of Henson and Bowie). Though my pic and username no doubt were big clues there. ;D
There’s a video of them recording and they were wanting the explosion sound. No online sound effects back then. Barry, the tall one, said he try. He wrapped his hands around the mic, put his mouth on it and made a sound. It sounded pretty weak and everyone bust out laughing. Hilarious. I think they recorded several and layered them. Came out great.
They are the best songwriters...They wrote Islands in the stream..Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton..They have written so many many hits!!
#1 on the Billboard Hot 100!! Same album as Too Much Heaven and Love You Inside and Out-- THREE #1's in one album (Spirits Having Flown) following FOUR #1's from the previous album (Saturday Night Fever) "Staying Alive," "Night Fever" "How Deep Is Your Love" and "If I Can't Have You" and one they they wrote for baby bro Andy Gibb "Shadow Dancing"-- #1, following Andy's other #1s written again by the Bee Gees "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" and "Love Is Thicker Than Water." In the same decade two more #1's and two that went to top 5 of the Billboard charts. Could they do any better as songwriters- performers??!!
This led to over-exposure in the music world which then historically is followed by a pushback. But the anti-BeeGee sentiment was as much a result of 80's new wave that had birthed in the late '70s. I think it was simply that people had heard funk for 15 years and wanted a fresh beat.
The whole damn album was number 1 in Billboard.
All their songs are bangers 🤗✌️
I was 9 when this song came out. I had the 45. I drove my sister INSANE playing this song over and over 😂
Tragedy is 1 of 3 #1’s on their Spirits Having Flown album along with Too Much Heaven and LOVE YOU INSIDE OUT, which is one of their most sampled, including by some well know artists. Please react. There’s a video from a documentary in the studio for the making of Tragedy, in case you want to react to that one, too.
I remember as a kid wearing this record out. Lol it was a side B on my record. It is easily my favorite song by them. I love the Bee Gees. Love them. The harmonies r simply the best ever.
Aren't they great!! These brothers are just the best..And a 4th is Andy Gibb..I'm so lucky to have saw them 3 times!👏👏👏👏👊
Check out "JIVE TALKING" as well, it's awesome
The next song should be "Staying Alive" easily the song they are most known for, played in more movies than you can count. The song is legendary
for whom the bell tolls, alone
Amazing Voices Amazing Song Amazing Bee Gees. 🕺🥰👍
I bought this album when it came out. I still have it.❤❤❤❤
Yes, Tragedy is 🔥😅
Bee Gees words, our love don't throw it away live for Andy,How can you mend a broken heart, emotion, for whom the bell tolls, one are just a few
Staying Alive was one of their biggest disco hits from 1977, I think. They have music from the 1960’s until their last recording in 2001. They were gifted musicians!
What memories. Wore out this 8-track cruising in my 69 Camaro in high school
I still have this album! The Bee Gees had so many hits and I never get tired of listening to them.
The BEE GEES are GREAT , SO TALENTED !!! I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS AB, Your so much fun , Thank You !!!
Your reactions are so fun to watch!! Going down the Bee Gees rabbit hole is pure joy!
I love how you start dancing in your seat! 😃
my favorite Bee Gees because of the vocals and rhythm.
A great song from my youth. You should play Staying Alive sometime soon. You got the moves too! Glad you enjoyed it.
Pure fire! Although Andy is always my favorite Gibb. The younger brother that didn’t make the group. Shadow Dancing is his fire song.
Oh I know!! Already reacted to it 👀🔥🔥🔥
Keep this song in your head for the next time you need to perform CPR.😳
I love Bee Gees. I grew up listening to their songs along with Frank Sinatra, Engelbert Humperdinck
Englebert Humperdinks hit song Sweetheat was another Bee Gee composition
There is a behind the scenes of making this video. I think you would enjoy it
Now go back and watch the video clip of how they made the explosion sound. It’s awesome 😂😂😂
,,, love watching you react to Bee Gees songs!!!!
Great reaction. I love this song.
I myself danced and danced and danced‼️🔥❤️🔥😁
Please react to Maurice singing “Man in the Middle”, (live). It’s fire. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💜💕🤒💕💜💕
They wrote Tragedy and Too much heaven in same afternoon and then wrote Shadow dancing with Little brother Andy that evening. You would enjoy Wind of change live 1979, Words live 1979 and Spirits having flown❤❤
No. 1 definitely. Barry is also responsible for the explosion sound. Fanny be tender with my love, You Win Again...too many to list.
That exploive sound effect was made by Barry. They did it multiple times and layered it together and put it in the soundtrack, even in live events
Try one/some of their pre-disco songs like Words or I Started A Joke!
Your reactions are priceless!❤😅 You are a natural comic. Love this song!! "Nights on Broadway", "Winds of Change", "Guilty" "Love You Inside and Out" "To Love Somebody" , " Love So Right" the list goes on and on but those are REALLY GOOD ones to react to/ review. I Look forward to your next one. 😊❤❤❤
Did you know they wrote this song, Too Much Heaven and Shadow Dancing, all in one day?
I love their song Massachusetts. My Nana used to play it when I was a little girl
Thank you. Please try listening to Fairport Convention's "Matty Groves", and Emmylou Harris' "Deeper Well."
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 from a old schooler 😃😁😙
Go back to Massachusetts, I Gotta Get A Letter To You, Words ect
I didn't knew you had reacting to Bee Gees before, but i'm glad you reacting to this song "Tragedy".
This song was covered by group vocal called 'Steps' in 1998, and that's what i heard this song for the first time. But then i discovered my father album collections, there's Bee Gees and i learned that the original one is the Bee Gees. I like the original intrumental more than 'Steps' version, but for the vocals, i prefer 'Steps' version cause i think it suits them 🤭
If I ever went to the gym, this would be a great workout song, but I don’t so…🤣
bee gees living together
I love your reviews. Your next Bee Gees song should be either For Whom the Bell Tolls or "One" bother #1 hit but the Bee Gee they were a couple of their last #1 hits, one in 1989 and 2003. They made hit records in 5 different decades for themselves and others. One of their greatest hits ad dubbed the greatest R&B song of all time by Quincey Jones is Fanny Be Tender With my Love. It will blow your mind.
Love your reaction to the 70s You have to listen to Barry & Barbra Streisand What kind of fool! you will love it totally 🔥🔥
Yep. That's how its done. They grab you every time. And yes. Number 1 in 79
When you get time, you should really listen to the song by Barry Gibb and Barbra Streisand called what kind of fool. Excellent!
This one was the jam
The explosion sound was done by Barry ;)
Bee Gees also has songs with barba Streisand
FANNY BE TENDER.
Nights On Broadway.
I Can't See Nobody.
Loved me some BeeGees. If you like the higher pitched, male, old school voices, check out Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Start with Opus 17, Sherri, and Dawn. Fresh sqeezed orange juice.
That stank face you made explained it all!!
Rock and Roll Heaven by Righteous Brothers.
Check out the British group "Steps" version of the song - the live/concert videos are better than the "official" video. Steps is a huge group in the UK known for their intergenerational appeal.
🔥🔥🔥
❤❤
🎶🔥🔥🔥🔥🎶💯
💖💖💖💖💖
🤜👍💪
Listen to Massachusetts
Great song! Their falsetto comes off a bit more nasally than I personally prefer in this one, but still great music.
Can you please do Ozzy Osbourne under the graveyard
You Should Be Dancing
please, the TNX group, the love or die song, the emo hip hop genre, fasting gloomy, on the TNX channel, thank you
While the Bee Gees are absolutely classic - I prefer the STEPS version of Tragedy. They're a 90's/00's pop group from England!
They were awesome, but so many other great songs, thsts not really a better one
I'm 70. We had the greatest music ever. Love seeing young people discover and enjoy it.
