I've been wondering this for YEARS!!! Even the lower-end console models would benefit from having wheels for moving, but especially the larger, heavier premium upright and mini-grand models.
This looks to be the last video with Patrick Marr. Has he moved on to another career? I find it odd that there was no farewell message. And disappointing. You were a good team.
The cases/finishes on the 705 and 706 look like laminated particle-board or plywood, like on many lower-end digital pianos. Is that what they actually are made of?
I like the sound of LX706 the best. It is a bit like the Yamaha U1 of digital pianos. The LX708 sounds great but not like a piano to me. Back when I bought my CLP785 during Covid, the Clavinovas were more available and significantly discounted. Mine was $2000 less than LX708 at the time, and shipping was extra on the Roland so I went with the Yamaha which I am quite happy with. Now there are great deals on Rolands to the point where the LX708 is $500 more than the CLP785 and both come with free shipping. Rolands come fully assembled while Clavinovas require final assembly. I'm not looking to switch but if I were, I would consider the LX706 which appears to be the best overall value from Roland.
When will Roland realise that the discontinued EP760 was a gem. Plenty of power in the speakers, and basic but decent sounds. Roland should know how many EP760s were sold, and now need replacement. Jesus, like they offer crap replacements, 2.5 watts etc. rubbish. They had a winner in the old 76s and 760s. Brain dead development gurus. They know people used the 76 key units with 10 watts. Why the heck won’t they listen to the customer????
