The chaplain at the club has contacted me and been in touch trying too help me through my hard times. Its amazing how my football club offer far more support and love than those "around" you.

As an American who grew up playing and loving “soccer” (among other sports), I am happy to find the Aston Villa chooses its fans, because they chose me.
When I was about 8 (sometime around the millennium), my parents came home from the UK with 4 jerseys; I was given claret and blue kit. Sure enough, it was an Aston Villa jersey. Over 20 years later, as I started watching the PL two years ago to follow Christian Pulisic at Chelsea, and even though Chelsea just won the Champions League, I gravitated to AV!
Like the saying goes, you don’t choose Aston Villa, it chooses you. I didn’t choose an AV jersey, I was given one. Thanks to that, I follow Villa, and the saying holds here!

What a great video. My Great Great Grandad born in 1853 was one of the first Villa fans, my Great Grandad, my Grandad, My Dad, me and my children were all chosen by Aston Villa and long may it continue in our family. We have shared in the legends and memories passed down and seen our own triumphs and failures, and we will always be Villa.
Hope generations more will get to witness just how majestic this club is
Every club has their own aura whether you love them or not but Aston Villa will always be so wonderfully majestic - in name, in colours, in history. Beautiful. How good is that footage.

This is the Greatest Football Club on Planet Earth - Birthplace and Home of All Leagues.
A truly great club with a great history. Crystal Palace FC borrowed a kit from Villa and played in it in the first game in 1905 so there has been a connection for a long time. Palace wore claret and blue until 1975. Both clubs have great fans.
I'm not even a Villa fan but this brought me to tears. As a Liverpool fan, I know exactly how it feels to be deprived of an EPL win for a very long time. Hope you get a well-deserved top-flight silverware within this decade.

There's something about our stadium that leaves a lump in your throat, the history, the atmosphere and just the shear statue of the place, I'm truly blessed and honoured to be born with claret & blue blood in my veins 😁
