- Hi everyone!
Start weathering a model tank after basecoating can be hard sometimes. The effects applied and the sequence they follow will determine the final result of the model.
In this video I will explore different weathering choices after finishing the model basecoat. I will explain when to use these type of effects and also how to make them to get the best possible result from them.

Best thing about Russian and Chinese manufactured T-54/T-55 and the variants in the series up to and including T-62/T-72 is that they've actually been used in conflicts across the globe for decades, while Western tanks have basically not been involved in prolonged conflicts. So we see that tanks like this T-55 can be seen in a severely weathered state but in a condition of combat readiness despite looking worn. However, unless it is a derelict tank or one that has seen a lot of inaction, the wear areas of the track will be worn to bright shiny steel. The track guides in the center of the tracks and the inside surfaces that are in contact with the rubber road wheels will have no rust in as little as 15 minutes of driving.
Outstanding continuation of your T-55 tank. Your weathering techniques are spot-on. Using oils for washes and the different shades of color to determine dirt are great. I'm looking forward to seeing how you weather tracks. Thank you for sharing and see you soon.
Gran trabajo Carlos ,fantastico
Thank you so much!
I'm going to try these techniques on my Asuka M4A1.
Buen modelista. Buen enfermero.
Привет. Хорошо получается!
Nice video and excellent weathering results. I subscribed. Have you thought about trying gunplas (mecha or robots, like Gundam)?
