Today I bring you the craziest modeling competition I have been into. In this modeling challenge, no matters who paints better, only the fastest modelers will achieve the goal. 8 modelers accepted the defiance and tried to finish a full model just in one day. Will they make it?

You should do the 35th humber from Bronco in one day. Hahaha. Impossible challenges.
Hahahaha, I don't know that specific model. But being a bronco kit... That would be impossible to finish in one single day, or even in a week
@@notjustpanzer yeah. It's a handful. Unlike the vast majority of armored car models, you have to not only build up the chassis from separate parts, but the floor too. Crazy stuff. And of course its all tiny parts.
The fact this is better than what I can do in over a week is crazy 😂 I have some way to go yet lol

Great looking model! Never used markers myself for usage on a model. But few days ago AK released a video of their new acrylic markers. Something you will be using in the future?
Yes, I only considered this type of markers for limited applications, they lack of a pointed tip for greater accuracy, but they were useful for some tasks. Actually I saw the ak markers, they seem to be focused in camouflage colours, but could be useful too

Mmmm, planes need longer assemblies due to the cockpit (that's something I always disliked). Good luck mate!
Pretty fun idea, and honestly pretty useful. As a definite amateur at this, I tend to look for effects I can copy that are pretty simple (and ideally quick) to do with a big effect on the end model. So basically exactly what you were doing here.

Yes this was pretty much it, in fact it's very similar to your case. I tried to use the effects I thought they would be more effective. When we need to paint faster or simpler, wise decisions matter.

Using just a few weathering techniques made think about all the effects I usually apply to my models and their usefulness...

I absolutely agree. Choosing this model was a right guess by the guys who made this challenge possible.
A balanced model with superb fitting.
It's hard to think about other brands except of tamiya for this task.

great video! I will try the mud technique on my models, may I recommend you a video in which you cannot use any airbrushes? I would love to see it
"Airbrush forbidden" modeling... It might be an interesting topic and makes painting harder.

@@notjustpanzer even ans smooth coats and primers will be alot harder, but it is what makes it fun as you get to really paint a masterpiece

I work on my models in short stints. 5 minutes here, 10 there. My last B17 took me like 3 months 😂
That's sounds familiar, my Omaha beach diorama took me 4 months investing tons of time in a daily basis. For me, models worked little by little have a better taste.
Hola Carlos, me encantan tus vídeos, aunque hace muy poco que descubrí tu canal. Se echan de menos canales de modelismo en castellano, por eso quería sugerirte que valores hacer los vídeos también en castellano, seguro que somos muchos los que te lo agradeceríamos. Entiendo que para que crezca el canal es más fácil en inglés, pero ya hay muchos videos en inglés y poco en nuestro idioma, que también hablan muchos millones de personas. Disculpa mi atrevimiento por la sugerencia y mucho animo y a tope con el modelismo....gracias.

Subir los vídeos en español es algo que me he planteado en más de una ocasión y como dices la comunidad del modelismo en español es mayor de lo que creemos.
El hecho es que de momento conforme a la dinámica de trabajo actual no me es posible subir inglés y español, aunque por supuesto es algo que me gustaría y no lo descarto en un futuro.
