The LED Laser to Crystal effect is fabulous!!! Its also funny to see that workers have not changed with only one worker and the others observers! Even if they are droids. Brilliant!
This was a great experience doing my first collaboration. Make sure you check out Gameyy Build's contribution to the collab as it's not only an awesome build but the concept rocks. Once you have checked out both videos, come back and leave a comment. czcams.com/video/3zjnklc8JVg/video.htmlsi=c2MRZnrz0v5gMckZ
I wouldn't mind seeing both the droids and the excavator-extractor getting some weathering. I do however love the backstory and the led-effect was just icing on the cake! Keep building!
"sounds awesome I'm in!" Hangs up phone while Gamey explains where to send the package and starts narrating a 10 minutes story about something he just came up with . But yes. Gamey and Boley are world building pros .
Well, Batman has his Bat-Phone, the Scale Model Geek has his Geek-Phone 😆 Great work again, Geek, and also a realy fascinating background-story that atomic power splits our world into two realities 🥸👍 Hope to see more building-stuff soon. Stay healthy and ´til next. Greatings from Germany 👋👋👋
I'm freaking out, ok? I'm freaking out! This is is so much awesome, I can't handle it!! Not only did two of my favorite CZcamsrs collab, but you tell us you've been secretly world building this whole time!?!? Omgomgomg. I'm calming down... I'm very tired... Anyway, much love from Florida, keep at it!
I always love me some scratchbuilding. The excavator/extractor is completely believable. Not using the cab was a great move, droids don’t care about weather. I wonder who programmed the droids like that. Here in the US we have the same pattern, one guy does all the work while everyone else leans on their tools and the supervisor micromanages the one actual worker. Also completely believable with no explanation necessary. This diorama sort of tells multiple stories, or maybe several threads of one story. Nothing really grand and showy about it, just a moment in the gritty “life” of workers nobody thinks much about. That to me is an essential element of a diorama. The viewer should be able to get the story it tells and be able to accept it without reservation. Even not knowing about the universe it’s part of the premise of automated mining is clear, and if the viewer buys that then the whole crystal power extraction theme is a much lighter thing to hang on the Willing Suspension Of Disbelief skyhook.
I'm a big fan of Simon Stålenhag and I really like the way he captures moments in time in a world. Yeah, I think workers standing around is pretty universal and ingrained in their DNA. Thanks for watching.
I just came from watching "Gameyy Builds" video, and I couldn't wait to see your reply! Believe me when I say that I'm highly impressed with your build as I was with Gameyy's offering! I liked your two, very different approaches in the ways you individually rose to the challenge. I also liked your foray into storytelling, and hope to see more of this in future videos, as well. Please don't ask my to chose which finished diorama I like best. How can anyone compare one amazing scene to another . . . ? Thanks for sharing your skills with us! 916th Like
So, so good. I love your world building, and I love that you always include a glimpse into the story behind the build. It sets my imagination on overdrive. Lol. Well done. Now I have to go check out this Gamey Builds guy.
I found your channel thanks to the collab with Gameyy. Awesome work on that diorama and with the overall video! And the idea for that world (well, worlds) is super interesting, I can't wait to see your future projects!
I'm Star Wars themed, and those droids look like Fifth Degree ASP 4B or 4C's to me. There are several types of "energy crystals" in SW lore, so this could easily have been replanted i a GFFA :)
That turned out fantastic!!! I enjoyed the back story of your diorama, even lowering your voice to tell it. 😁 I see you have the same problem over there as we do here in the States. 12 guys watching one guy working a shovel. Your tax dollars at work... I can't wait to see what Gamey will come up with! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent!!!
I watched both video's. Both build's look awesome! And the use of LED filament is excellent! I understood form Gameyy's video the challenge was to use a minimum of 75% percent of the sent greblees? Which he followed very well. I don't see that same achievement in ScaleModelGeek's build. Nevertheless an awesome collab!
Correct. As I said in the video, I made a piping extraction system that turned out awful and I ended up scrapping it for this build. Thanks for watching
Awesome world building, would be cool to see in a darker environment and adding some fluorescent material underneath the ground where those cracks appeared.
This looks soo cool! Such a nice build in a collaboration Btw I have a huuge technical question for everyone building dioramas. HOW DO YOU STORE THEM? Do you have some kind of clear plastic boxes for them? Do you put them on shelfs? Do you even keep em in your house? How do you protect them from dust? I make dioramas very rarely, but when i do, the number 1 problem is DUST growing on them while they're at display. And it is hard to keep an eye and always brush it off
Most excellent, sir! The lighting effect, the balance of your use of materials in the composition, the color palette, and level of detail to scale; all just wonderful. This is the first one of your videos I have watched (and enjoyed immensely) and it will not be the last. The use of the Trinity test as a jumping off point for divergent earths really is fun story telling tool. The “what if” factor is the key to all great story telling, and every time someone encourages this approach it engages those utilizing it to think critically about relationships and narratives that actually have arcs. Great to see you promoting some form of this. Thanks for creating this, and I look forward to exploring your other offerings here.
Wow super cool!! It’s so good that you can’t even tell it was kit bashed!! Love the aesthetic as well and the sight of humanized robots overseeing a mining operation, for some reason, feels somewhat unsettling. Terminator-esque. Great job!!
This is absolutely fascinating to watch the process from start to finish! All of the thought that goes into crafting these builds it is just mind boggling!! Great Great work Sir! Thank You for sharing with Us all here in tubeland! Looking forward to more soon! Thank You! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
@@ScaleModelGeek Thanks for showing off your build :) Love the "happy accident" of the cracking: It really does look cool! Wish I had the improvisational talent to do what you do here.

Bravo, Geek! Stellar end result! Absolutely knocked it out of the park!
Thanks man. Much appreciated and loved the collab.
The LED Laser to Crystal effect is fabulous!!! Its also funny to see that workers have not changed with only one worker and the others observers! Even if they are droids. Brilliant!

I really like the effect of the laser drill and the design of the robot miners , they look very efficient and professional.
I was happy with the laser beam but in retrospect... I would probably only use one colour next time. Thanks for watching.

I really like the look of the 3 led filaments. It looks like the beam isn't perfectly coherent and gives it awesome movement.
