- Finally coming full circle on the updated and modernized iteration of the venerable HPSS platform. Finally did my part and maintenanced the gun, and it really took on a whole new personality! With the addition of the stick mag, this this is ready to pest all day long!

did you open the hammerspring compartment and polish all the burrs and metal particles out?
polish the inside of the barrel with automotive polishing compound?(dont get it into the porting )
find the regulater pressure that works best for the airgun?(inquireing minds want to know what that pressure is)
and lastly did you take a look at the barrel porting to see if it can be increased a little?(that would take serious ball bearings on a semi-auto)?

This mag should run fine in my .30 hp carbine correct? The mag well looks the same, gas tube in the same location.. My hp carbine runs great so i dont really get the controversy over the semi-autos I've had minimal problems with mine, nothing I couldn't correct. Like you say, the proper maintenance makes these machines a whole nother animal
Totally compatible! I do not own an hpss, but the mechanism is the same and so is the fitment and magazine from factory. Should run great

straight stick mag is pretty lazy and lame. if you want to innovate make a drum type mag that curls. 50-100 rounds definitely possible.
