He fix it with a hammer, lol. No truer statement ever made.
Loved the old guy! Best part of the video
What you forgot to say is do not put grease on the bearings when installing, some synthetic gearlube will prevent the sludge
I second this. Grease hubbed rotor bearings, but let the gear oil do its job in solid axles.
definitely. bearings tolerate grease but LOVE oil.
@@AaronW315 greased differential bearings turn the gearlube to thick sludge in a short time-use gearlube not grease on diff bearings.
His accent makes me immediately trust him, without a doubt knows what he’s talking about lol. Fr tho but how do you know it solved the noise if it’s still on the rack?
Experience.. same way you know your bearings are bad just by pulling up on the axle.
Appreciate the help man! Thanks
I love all the great videos of more detailed and different parts than other people cover. Keep it up.
I got the same issue on my 02' Blazer ZR2. Damn pinion bearing!
Had a noise and oil leak out of pinion seal, changed outer bearing and it was just as pitted as yours. Same noise still happening. Bout to tear it down and do the inner 🤞
Thanks for the tip.
My miatas diff gets kinda loud when it gets hot, it got better after changing oil but after a longer drive I noticed the noise again (not as loud but still).
Excellent Description.... We see it often
Thanks brother for that..info..
Awesome 😂😂😂!
By the time this young man is 40 he will be on Einstein level
My old british car has a good roar.
Is it one of those things you want to fix asap or van you just do it at your leisure?
Thank's for sharing
Usually a whine is a pinion bearing that’s worn, or a loose pinion gear that can be tightened on the pinion nut, while a roar if usually a carrier bearing or gear.
He fixed with a hammer 🔨 my favorite thing to 👍🏻👍🏻⚒️
Is the bearing manufacturer's name stamped or laser engraved on the large face? As a bearing aficionado, I love me some bearing videos.
Dif gets low on fluid that's the first bearing to get hurt from low fluid
I used sae,.75w90,..a few noise with GEAR Box ,Perfect,and Klutch Kit,...all new😢😢😢,
CV Joint in my car????
Cut the cage off the bearing and look at the inner race. I bet it is all chewed up.
My 2014 F150 with 3.5tt started making the whine after installing exhaust manifold gasket back complete exhaust with Ford Performance turbo upgrades and a tuner. Too much torque for the pinion.
My truck roars because it's a beast! Not because the pinion bearings are shot. And my truck leaks because it's pissed off! Not because it's got a hole in the oil pan!
sum b itch is lyin lol
The confusion comes from people having that noise from so many places. It’s definitely a bearing but it’s just fig😢out which one. Those bearings a used in multiple places.
Hank Hills dad at the end tho!!
I love southern folks!
Bro..i am getting a hummimg sound from my 2018 nissan rogue and the mechanic team precision tunes told me, rear differential bearing issue. It's not serviceable, i need to change the complete set worth 3400 for new one and 2700 for used one. Please give me your opinion. I dont have that much money to spend. Miles driven 64000.
Part #?
Any videos on2011 gmc 2500 hd 4x4 s
Where is your shop
HE LYING..😂😂
My 2008 Cadillac CTS has a roaring pinion bearing and they told me it’s non service able and I need a new diferential. Is that correct?? That’s wack
How many miles you surviving on that thing? I got the same problem and same answer
Yes..yes..most common
What's a repair like that cost?
Them pinion bearings was made from steel that had 0.02% carbon by weight. It should have had at least 1.5 to 2 percent carbon. It was to weak for the job. I've seen that lots of times with Ford.
R the bearings from China? R the same class/type of bearings used in Toyota?
Having that issues for almost 7 months finally found the cause how can I fix it in a 6.2 2014 Chevy high country
How’d it go ima do my bosses truck sometime this week or next but the rust is a nightmare I honestly think the bottom bolt head is nonexistent
Matthew Mcconaughey can really play any role. Helluva an actor 👏
But what caused the pitting? THAT is the real reason for the roaring noise…
But what caused the pitting?
I wonder too lol that's pretty gnarly for less than 10 years wonder if it had water intrusion
Cheap chinesium pinion bearings should be a recall on every diff with them all the back to 2003
Timken is the only bearings I would use.
To be serious tho, so the bearing woukfbt have play but still make noise. Ok I’m sold. I already had the axels out once for the wheel bearings, do ya think I checked everything out? Nope cuz I’m stupid, here goes round two
It was from all that dad gum gum mashter
it's a Ford haaaaaaaaaa😢😲🤔👍
Always interesting to hear what a twelve year old has to say.
LMAO
you heard a train’s?
Sad thing about the bearing is that it was made in China
This happens and will happen, there is always little oil, the first bearing suffers
