Hi Peter, I was asking about my P0171 lean code on my 2000 Corolla. I was going to dig in to injectors and other but did a more thorough cleaning of MAF sensor (third time) and new air filter, and it's not returning yet, but you had questioned oil. I'm currently running Lucase engine treatment for 2-300 miles then will change oil. But now I've got a P0125, but coolant is full and motor runs fine and temp stays right in the middle. Car has 183k miles, but tstat was replaced around 150k.

Hello, I have a Toyota Carina 1.8Si 7A, the temperature gauge is not functioning, there is no temperature sensor, it was removed when the block was being attended to and they forgot to replace it and now it's missing. The issue is I want to replace it. So I have these questions
      1. Is the water temperature sensor the same as the coolant sensor or these are two different things
      2. Where is the location of the sensor that makes the temperature gauge to work?
      3. I understand these sensors are different with vehicle makes, how many pins does the Toyota Carina 7A have?
I need to know the correct sensor before purchasing to avoid loss of cash for a wrong part.
