Thanks Mike. Just a point on the if you have one why would you want another: there's a 2,500 hour combined team effort difference between FH22 and FH23, the step up in quality is as substantial as FHX to FH22. Direct engine recordings from a manufacturer, new data advancements to physics, and the new model which took 3-4 months and looks nuts. Beyond aligning to changes in the technical regulations which brought about significant changes to the floor and diffuser heights, there's so much complexity all around the car. Example on the front wing, they're not flat planes and these aren't minor changes each year, take a look at how much deviation and bumps and attention to detail in this section alone. The same principle applies all over the car and we hope people can see the effort and time each year.
I would pay a lot of $ for some IMSA / IROC / TRANS AM era cars. Your work is outstanding and keeps AC alive.

FH23 is an improvement over the FH22 in every way. Maybe it's not a leap forward, but it's an advancement in every single aspect which is astounding considering the already high quality of the FH22. Amazing job by RSS, get this car and the RARE mod and you have the closest thing to racing an actual F1 car in 2023.

the "air intlet" in the front wing nose is to cool the driver. Just a little inlet that goes into the monocoque to blow air on the driver, otherwise they're sitting in a 150°F hotbox with air trapped around their torso.
I bought this car yesterday. I agree with you that if you have the 22 model maybe you don't need it. On the other hand, RSS cars are pretty reasonable price wise in my opinion. If you have the means, why not pick it up? Both RSS, and VRC have really given longevity to AC in my opinion, and I am happy to support them. I have bought most of their stuff, and overall have been very pleased. As for what I would like to see from them in the future, more Le Mans cars, especially the 90's and early 00's.
Hard to say what I'd want from RSS. Already expecting a sequel to the Endurance pack and looking forward to that. Still can't decide which car is my favourite after driving them all for many hours. I'm sure they'll surprise us with something cool like they did with the 1970's Formula.
I wouldn’t mind seeing their take on a 2014-2016 F1 or a 1980’s turbo car. Outside of F1 I would love to see them do Aussie Supercars.
More endurance cars! Late Gt1 cars, maybe a McLaren F1. We need a good one of those.

I love how the FH23 is now combining the best of all team's designs and made it to one complete package which I love to skin and drive, expect new skin from Mirablau soon for the FH23!
Just downloaded and loaded the 23 car - Love It! First run.I was able to time 2 seconds off my best time and I'm a newbee.

Been driving GT3s for months and this was a breath of fresh air, and better than how I remember the 2022 formula hybrid from RSS [maybe just the engine sound?]. I'm enjoying driving it around Baku, which is a circuit that I'm unused to. My favourite RSS Formula Hybrid mod is still the 2017 version, but they haven't produced a dud mod yet imo.

Been away from my rig for a while, but I'm super excited with this one, just like the one released last year.
So much fun! EA should go back to the drawing board for the "official" F1 games. F122 is OK, but I get bored with it quick. Keep up the great work Mike. Always enjoy your content. I'm going to pull the string on a DD wheel and LC pedals this fall. Can't wait 😁 God bless and race on 😎🏁

Just upgraded from the RSS F1 2022 to the 2023 and I really like it. 100% would say buy it even if you have the 2022 version! The rear end is way more planted and drives less like the RSS F1 2021 model. It allows you to hit the throttle way earlier with almost 0 oversteer! (unless ur in 1st or 2nd gear lol)
I have the 2022 , and i knew that i dont need it , but !
But want to keep assetto corsa alive , so i support those studios.
First of all , this game is a car simulation sandbox , a wikipeadia of simracing .
Second , i dont have the money to upgrade my pc everytime the greedy new games want .
So i must keep the game alive .
I will done this , every single user will done this with his support.
Have the 2022 version of this car but I still prefer the Formula Alpha because its a bit harder to drive making it feel more realistic. Formula Alpha also got a free update for 2023 package
Thanks for vid! I bought it on launch day. For a price of a coffee why would you not. I've been spending a lot of time in the ACFL F1. Have you seen the ACFL F1 cars. Would like to know what you think of them.
Antenna? I thought that was supposed to be a Pitot tube for measuring true air speed and atmospheric pressure in different conditions, which is quite important for engines that rely on oxygen for power.
I wonder if the teams would also set their engine fuel to oxygen mixture to how much oxygen is at the current race track for more optimal power as well. Given how competitive F1 is.
Best f1 experience: Mercedes amg w13 in Iracing. The most realistic f1 in simracing.
Anyways they did a great job in this assetto corsa mod.
What do you think comes close in driving experience vrc or rss ?
Formula One cars in 2023 have different regulations compared to 2022. One of the most important is the minimum ride height to reduce porpoising. To attempt to definitively cancel out porpoising, the FIA has imposed a change in the height of the floor, which will be 15mm higher on the side edge than the reference plane, as well as a 10mm higher diffuser groove. Floors also need to be stiffer. The lateral edge will be able to flex by a maximum of 5mm with an applied load of 250N, compared to a maximum of 8mm in 2022. Also some changes in minimum weight. The minimum weight value returns to 796kg, that’s 2kg less compared to 2022. I assume RSS has all these changes implemented in this 2023 Hybrid.
I’m baffled by how different this feels from last year’s car. I couldn’t drive 5 laps without the tires melting in the 2022 car, where the temps are fine in the 2023 car
All it needs imo is an S version of the car with different sidepods similar to Mercedes W14 + other chassis design elements and the mod will be a lot better, granted the mod itself is already really good.
I finally got a dd wheel ! Accuforce V2 / I cant open software cuz not sure what liscense # is , or what im suppossed to do to get in sim commander . Thx for the content🤘🏼🏁

How does it compare to the VRC 22?
That is not an antenna Mike. It is a Pitot probe.
Pitot probes are use for measuring airspeed.

I have to disagree on the sound side of things. This car's engine sounds exactly like the Honda engine, it's perfect, a lesson to Codenasters on to make iin-game engine sounds
What is AI performance with this car? I am considering buying this mode so I am interested if AI racing can be performed with this cars on some decent level.
i like rss but their mods seem to be more and more assisted by every release.

@@jianh1989 not exactly sure what it is but i can jerk my wheel left and right really fast and the car wont break traction even with aero turned all the way down. also noticed that the 2023 eats kerbs like its nothing. for example you can touch basically any kerb including uphill eau rogue and the car wont react. In my opinion its a waste of money to purchase. Still waiting for the day these guys or vrc work with IER or Steve Stripe who hands down have the best physics in assetto.

I can't believe it... RSS mislabeled the pitot tube as an antenna. This is the single worst thing to happen, ever, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. I'm going to go and sulk in my little aeronautics nerd grotto for a full year until the next Formula Hybrid is released.
(jokes aside, it never ceases to amaze me how they somehow make each car better than the last. as something of an aesthetic nitpick, i love the less flat, more tactile(?) look of the GSI wheel they've chosen, it feels much more like it could be F1 hardware than the last one)
That camera is so bad.
