I legit thought the particles section was a bit and was rolling when it was serious, what are the odds.I have fond myself playing lovely planet and its given the same ich speedrunners get,the need to shave down seconds for a simple game really can be addicting.
I knoooow, the particle section totally seems like a bit, haha!! And yes, I've never played lovely planet, but after looking it up, it seems like it would make for a fantastic speedrunning game! lol. Thanks for watching!
DREW VIDEO LET'S FUCKING GO
Ayyyyyeeeee!!! Thank you, thank you!! Hope you enjoy it! 🙏
I shouldn't be surprised, but this was another fascinatingly awesome video, Drew! Sorry for my delay in watching it, but I'm definitely going to share with my friends who are into speedrunning! 😁 Looking forward to seeing you in the next video!
No worries, Henry! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for sharing it! 😄
interesting that you're tapping into gaming now, let's see if the algorithm likes it/
Haha, well, I'm definitely going to stick with Anime and Animation, but I'll occasionally do project like this just because I'm curious, haha. Thanks for checking it out!
I have no idea what the point of this video is, nor what it's meant to be
Oh... Ummm... It's telling the origin story of Speedrunning. The point is explained at 10:00. Thanks for watching!
@@DrewMalou Your origin story is filled with smaller stories that, while interesting, have nothing to do with the origin of speedrunning, and mario isn't the origin of speedrunning. Here's a comment I found on reddit that I think sums it up "Speedrunning isn't an invention, it's just an action; a different way to go about playing a game, so as long as there have been games to play, there has been the possibility of speedrunning".
@@Jintenzo hmm I read your comment before watching the video actually, and though I agree with your point about the video for a large part consisting of smaller stories, I disagree with the whole video not making sense.
Its contents are 1 speed in games 2 upcoming of speedrunning in games 3 the booming of speedrunning 3 iconic events in speedrunning and 4 what speedrunning is actually all about.
So, the video is about speedrunning, what else would you want there to say about it? I guess there's not much origin to talk about, because also, as you say: it's not a real invention. But since it's more something that people do, that is exactly what the video highlights right?
I guess it's not perfect for it to be called origin of.. but oh well, he's busy with a project, I enjoyed the video, whatever right hihi
Bit of a long comment to reply to you but I maybe thought your initial comment was maybe unnecessarily rude ;) it's just a vid right
@@Jintenzo I don't agree in total with that definition you've provided. It's like saying running wasn't an invention. While that can be true, competitive running has a very clear origin. You can go look at things like the first Olympics and early marathons that were organized, societal competitions. And this video covers the history and evolution of speedrunning as well, which is why there are interesting stories mixed in, to show how things have changed over the years.
@@giuliacoene2445 Yes! Thank you, that is very well put. Thanks for watching my video, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😊
