- Sisay is a perfect midrange toolbox commander. And here she has a one card combo she can build towards. Bolas citadel is a great finisher. It's not really a storm deck. But once you get this dragon building in play it becomes one.
I really like this EDH deck and I consider it quite strong. It has a lot of grinding potential. Sisay can go for Voltron plan B. Sisay's ability is to be considered a card drawing ability. So she has a lot of things going for her. Quite the cEDH commander.

I finally got my food chain sisay deck together. Search for Zur the enchanter on end step, attack with zur find foodchain search for squee the immortal. Food chain infinite mana cast jhoira weatherlight captain (or something else to draw) draw your deck. cast ronas dragon engine then every other creature then an extra turn spell. Win on extra turn.
So you have to tutor for: Zur - Squee and jhoira? Thats quite a lot but sure.

cEDH TV well you get zur one turn squee the next. I say jhiora but any creature that will draw you a card when you play squee will work and it can be in your hand so you dont have to tutor it out. I have a list on TappedOut out but calling it untuned would still be an understatement. tappedout.net/mtg-decks/sisays-less-legendary-crew/ thats the list but it doesn’t have food chain or zur right now. Guess i need to update that.

Wow, this deck looks sweet. I actually got a foil Sisay when I opened a Modern Horizons box so I'm really tempted to build this.
Maybe Berserk is worth including.
- double Sisay's power and tutor for Citadel. You won't have to sacrifice her if you don't attack.
- can work as removal if opponents attack each other
- help secondary voltron plan by finishing off a player that's about to win with trample + commander damage

The instant speed toolboxy aspect of this build is reminiscent of one of Cobblepott's old Chainer, Dementia Master Resource Denial builds - which this deck is a clear upgrade for. Very cool and excellent work.
I built her, and we share some includes. I'm going more of a walker subtheme, and I don't use Citadel combo because I don't have a Top or Reservoir. I opted into running land search over signets and dorks because lands tend to survive longer in my meta than artifacts and early game creatures. I don't have a Seedborn Muse, but I do have a Medomai the Ageless, which I use to get extra turns with Samut the Tested upticking to give Medomai double strike. I use Rhythm of the Wild as a haste source, because it's consistency with my Yahenni+Redcap+Solemnity combo. I can use Rhythm to cancel out the persist -1/-1 counter. I just threw this together and worked on it today, and I"m a budget player. Even still, my brew gives hell, and in the mirror, I'd counter your combo by pulling God-Pharaoh's Statue. My brew ended up being more of a staxy feel, with toolbox elements. I like how you explained things here.

It is so funny, a similar thing is what I have been brewing the past 2 weeks. I really like that this isn't "figured out" yet and there is probably a lot of space for optimization still.
Hi man, I'm building a Sisay comander too, one of my favorite cards for her is Blackblade reforged, suuuuper buff for Sisay
a trick with bolas citadel to triple your life and kill your opponents with one spell "depth to the depthless".
its two white and two black and x cost sorcery. then it deals double x damage to each opponent , and you gain life lost this way. so with bolas citadel, you can pretty much tripple your life and damage the oppoents for a lot of damage.

I play Sisay Superfriends - changing over from ramos to sisay was a fantastic change.
Using a couple of bounce lands and or signets if you can acheive wubrg off of 4 permanents and sisay is 7 power;
Search teferi, temporal archmage
Tick down untapping the 4 permanents you used
Search nicol bolas, dragon-god
tick down using teferi's ability to untap those 4 permanents again
search for oath of teferi
use teferis ability again and untap
search for Aminatou the fatershifter
You now have access to infinite searches and infinite planeswalker activations, do you tick up bolas flickering with aminatou and flickering aminatou with bolas as needed til opponents have no cards remaining to interact with, then get jace the lab maniac and tick up til you win by deck out

I actually really like sisay as a commander, I've been using her as a voltron commander and it's the most fun I've had in quite some time
She is a blast!
@@cedhtv she truly is, being able to be toolboxy while also being able to Fetch legendary equipment just suits her well for a more casual/semi competitive style, a bundle of fun to build with
I'm running human legendary tribal with w/g sigarda humans and player get hexproof. With a coat of arms and Banquishers banner plus all the good jazz on legendary humans. The deck is super stompy and responsive. Good fun all around.

Have you tried Paradox Engine in the list? It's legendary, and with it in play every spell you cast off the Citadel gets you more mana from your rocks and dorks which you can use with Sisay for a shuffle effect to get rid of lands off the top. You can also run Sidisi, Undead Vizier as a tutorable way to find Aetherflux. I haven't had time to test it yet, but those two additions seem like they would make storming off much more consistant.
The list looks really fun to play. If I get time to test it out myself I'll let you know what I find.

I am missing Sharuum for recursing the bolas citadel in case of a removal,
with so many signet maybe brago could be of use I play him as a plan B with aurelia to go infinite damage, also I really liked how Nykia played in the deck, because once I start responding to my oponent i stop playing the hand and Thran Temporal Gateway let me play any planeswalker or artifact stuck in hand.
Looks like a fun deck. I am interested in building her in the future. Seems like Yisan, but with more options. However, she looks like she requires a lot of setup to really get going and is very mana intensive. Have you found her activated ability a big enough payoff to build around?

Rhys can straight up win games if unchecked imo, like a worse Najeela.
and imo a godo plan inside the 99 is still a alt win on 10 mana if sissay go to 7 (godo host hammer of nazhan is protection to this that gives indestructible to godo but don't think it's realy needed and anyway godo cost 6 so in bolas citadel it could be hard)
Have you considered seedborn muse, with all the rocks and dorks you are running it you could activate sisay multiple times per turn.
I think that card is a bit win more. Also, it cost 5 mana so its bad with citadel.
But I did play another sisay deck focused on overrunning. Seedborn could fit in there. But 5 mana is a lot.
Would Vilis, Broker of Blood help draw into the combo? And I use Trendrils of Agony as a ritual in my Bola's Citadel deck
I like the tendrils ide! But no, Vilis is 8 loss of life from citadel. I don't think that is good. To risky.
Why no Brainstorm? seems like a very natural inclusion: very good under the citadel, and not bad at all before that, especially with all the fetch and tutors already there...
Was there any thought to the new Abzan legend from horizons? It’s a 3 color legend which buffs sissay a good about but is also able to let you cast your citadel or other hate legends from your graveyard

Don't know if that commander is actully that good. 8 mana is a lot. Reanimating it is better.

Short question, I dont quite understand the inclusion of Hapatra, could you explain?
SHe is a 2 CMC creature with two different colors. She has a slow and grindy ability that kills opponents dorks. It also qute easy to get face hits with her. "If you let Hapatra hit you I will kill his bloom tender or aven mindcensor". She is quite ok in my opinion.
Citadel/top/aetherflux is an excellent combo but I’m not sure Sisay is the best shell. How about Kydele (can combo out with dramatic scepter and paradox engine) with Silas (can pull your key artifacts back if they get countered or destroyed)?
Similar question - I'm using Citadel, Aeth Res and Top in Aminatou to great effect. There are so many top of deck interactions with her already that slot right into and synergize with these 3 combo pieces. I also have a few pieces of good graveyard hate, like Rest in Piece and Relic of Prog that keeps my opponents off graveyard combos. Do you think maybe Aminatou is a better shell? I've won two 10-person FNMs with it. Do you think it could be better than Sisay?

Is there room in this deck for Hope of Ghirapur? It can help protect you from removal during your combo turn as sort of a xantid swarm type effect. It tutorable with sissay and has a very low CMC for the citadel.
Actually what might be better is 3feri for protection instead. Ignore Ghirapur lol

Ok so i have done just a small amount of testing. What about Jaskai Ascendancy in this deck? We are playing a very very high number of dorks and maybe it’s just cause I am playing a few of the 2 mana dorks but ascendancy makes it almost impossible for us to fizzle during our combo but also allows us to generate a lot of mana while also generating a different possible win con in the deck while simultaneously synergizing with sissay by increasing her power for the turn without needing the additional legendary permanents in play
Your goal is to get jaskai ascendacy into play with Zur? I don't know. Maybe. Could work. This might be better then intruder alarm.
Yes, it seems to be working extremely well with the draw discard effect in ensuring that we win on the same then the citadel comes out as well. The pump effect works really well if we draw into it also with cantrip type effects which increase her power to tutor higher cmc things earlier and possibly. It’s just kind of a thought experiment at this point and maybe it needs to be split into two different versions of the deck but it seems very cool and powerful but I haven’t had too much time to sit down and think about it yet

Yes he is 2 colors and a 1 drop. But he isen't that good. Not in my opinion at least.

I think the amount of interaction that Vicious Rumors provides is not enough for it to be good, otherwise this deck seems very good. I think maybe it would be better to run Exploration, trading 1 life for an extra land drop for the storm run. Or even if you want to be very cute, you could run Azusa Lost but Seeking (Sisay Tutorable!) or Summer Bloom for the same purpose.
There is definatly a high chance I will cut Vicious Rumors.
