  • Had a few minutes and I thought it would be fun to get this tuner with the Weller Racing files installed on the RMAX. Pretty straight forward setup, so take a look if you think you might be interested in this tuner. Below I'll put what the tune will do for the machine. I've talked to multiple people that use this device and Weller tunes and they have been happy with the results.

    Really helpful. Thank you. I can't get over 90 octane here in AK so a flash would be ideal. This unit looks really nice. Much appreciated!

      Glad it helped and you are VERY welcome! I too like the 87 tune! I'll be using that when I head to VW to ride since some of their gas station can be sketchy! I think the difference octane tunes and turn on the fan at lower temps was what really sold me. Plus I like how I can just plug this thing in and pick my tune, super easy. Thank you so much for watching it's greatly appreciated!

      Thanks man! Yeah, I have a feeling it's going to be good. I'm heading on a family Hatfield trip in April so that'll be a good test for it. Might do some riding in Michigan soon too, so I'll be sure to do a follow up video! Thanks again for watching!

      Right on man! Yeah, I'll definitely let you know for sure! I'll make sure to do a good follow up video as that is really important! This video was more of a get it out of the box and plug it in kind of thing. But generally I've heard pretty positive things about this Power Vision. Thank you again for watching, it's greatly appreciated!

    Quick and simple video. Can’t beat that. Will be very interested to see if you feel there was a real gain or not. One thing I am curious of, did you notice, or know if others have noticed, an improvement with cold starts? I think it was one of your previous complaints if the RMax and I have noticed it with mine as well. Usually takes twice to get it to start.

    • @BarnStangz
      @BarnStangz  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you so much for watching! I heard the same thing you did, that the machine starts up better dead cold. My shop was pretty warm when I started it for the first time, so I can't give you a good answer, but, I will make a follow up video after I get a few hundred miles on things. Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss that video, thanks again!

      @LikelyCandidate Před 2 lety +2

      Mine was awful on cold days (4 starts before it would stay running sometimes). Has been great since blocking the AIS. I recently installed the 91+ stock exhaust tune and have noticed that starting is smoother, cooler temps and the fan seems to come on less often. As for power, there's not a huge difference. It feels more responsive but in a straight line it isn't much faster. I don't regret it though. Stock tunes are very lean these days and that creates unnecessary heat.

    • @BarnStangz
      @BarnStangz  Před 2 lety +2

      @@LikelyCandidate 100% Yeah man, all the same for me too! Wayyyyy too lean from the factory, the tune is worth it just to richen it up a bit and yes, like how the fan comes on sooner, that's good for sure too! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, it's appreciated!

      @BarnStangz  Před rokem +3

      YO!!! Thanks for watching my vids! Yep, still here and still loving the RMAX and the Weller tune, I would highly recommend it. Did some riding last weekend and the RMAX is still a blast. We're going to get some riding footage eventually, so I hope to have more content at some point. Hope you are enjoying your RMAX, it's been a GREAT machine. This fall I'll do a 3 year review since I got it October of '20.

    So if so if I bought a new rmax can I plug this in and good to go or do I need to reflash device for new machine

    • @BarnStangz
      @BarnStangz  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Thanks for watching. This tuner I purchased from Weller Racing and they had tunes already loaded on it it. So when I got the device, I plugged it in and flashed my ECU. It was pretty straight forward and easy to do. The only downside, is you can only flash one machine. you can't use this thing on more than one RMAX. I believe you can contract Weller to get a deal on another flash for a second machine however. You may want to reach out to them via email.

    • @BarnStangz
      @BarnStangz  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for the comment! I do think it's worth getting. I have a video where I'm chasing my buddy up hill at Hatfield and he commented how he was going flat out all the time and I was right on him. We're both very decent riders, so I think the tune and the Hunter Works tip give me a tiny bit more power. I also like how the PV3 turns on the cooling fan sooner, felt like my machine wasn't getting as hot. I'd say get it for sure. I also like have the 87 octane tune. That's nice to have depending on where you're at.
