Had to drill out one the last time I removed the exhaust tip. They were coated in nickel anti seize too. Luckily it tapped ok in the original diameter. I replaced all the bolts.

I ran mine and got exhaust hot, so the hardware would expand. They all came out but be careful as the parts are hot.

I have a broken bolt in mine just below the surface, and the worse party is I tried drilling it and using an easy-out to remove it, but the easy-out broke off and I haven't been able to drill the easy-out. Not sure my next step. I may try to weld a nut on it, but not sure that's in my skill set.

I imagine it would be best try and take the bolts out while the exhaust is still hot. May help prevent busted heads.

Actually that's how you strip them. You want to do them when it's cold.

Currently down for sheave maintenance. I'll update when I get a chance to drive her with the new tip.
