Yes, this song is about suicide - Lewis's aunt committed suicide when he was six, and he wrote this song after a conversation with his mother, discussing how she felt afterwards.
Leaving the funeral part right at the very end was pretty much the point the video was trying to make; so many times, everyone around a depressed person doesn't realise that things are that bad for them until it's too late. So they're all in shock when a suicide happens, wondering where on earth it 'came from,' because - like the scenes in the video before that point - everything 'seemed fine.' It's only if you're paying attention to the lyrics of the song - which are completely at odds with the images on screen - that you start to suspect things aren't as cosy and 'fine' as they appear to be.

idk if anyone said this yet, but the song is about suicide. i was first able to assume because of the line "it kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless", but I had to look it up to check. it's about his aunt committing suicide when he was a little boy.

This song hits me hard, my son tried to take his own life a couple of years ago thankfully unsuccessfully, and I live with depression so the line "it kills me how your mind can make you feel so worthless" literally aches in my heart. "in a world where you can be anything, BE KIND" xx

What I liked in the video was that they portrayed the reality of someone dealing with a mental illness instead of showing that she was depressed. A lot of the times people don't realize someone is depressed and it'll seem like nothing is wrong, even saying before they commit suicide that they seemed so happy the night before, but that's how it is. The song is basically someone wondering what they could've said or done to help them get better
Absolutely right! People struggling with suicidal thoughts are the best actors and can hide everything ugly thing going on in their life and most people will never know until it’s too late!! I love how he understands that and made a video thAt reflects that
