If he doesn't make it in music - highly unlikely, but he'd make It as a comedian. He's an absolute breath of fresh air.

If you don't understand some of the words Lewis is singing, it's probably because that he is Scottish. It's not that he's trying to sound like someone else. It's his accent. He's himself which is why people have fallen in love with him!! Lewis is a down to earth, hilariously funny, blunt person. I think people are tired of the Barbie and Ken doll looking models, with no talent, in the biz. Lewis is a massive breath of fresh air and I am here for it!! This man is Extremely Talented and I hope you give his other songs a listen. The whole album is Addictive!! Btw, That interview never gets old, it's Awesome!

Yeah, I think both James Arthur and Lewis Capaldi have this "cry" in their voice, their style of singing is very raw and emotional. I can definitely hear the similarities.

Lewis is just the absolute best. And when him and Niall get together, it's pure chaos! Lewis is naturally funny and Niall loves laughing. A match made in heaven.
Imagine Lewis and Louis on the Graham Norton show. The focks-fooks would be flying left, right and center.

Lewis Capaldi is my favorite singer and artist, ever!! His accent makes the songs even better for me. I sing his music, using his phrasing in it. I wouldn't want it any other way. Keep doing everything your way, Lewis!! You are so original and precious 💕💕

As a Scot myself, I can confirm young Lewis is *very* Scottish!... and what a voice.... and the lad can write & perform a pop song with a hearfelt belt to it as well as *anyone* right now. I think I can confidently say the vast majority of us Scots are proud of Lewis getting out there & doing his thing.
As far as the technicalities of how he sings, I'm guessing the fact that he doesn't delete his accent puts off some folk. But probably the fact that he will "cry" into phrases, & he's not shy of using "cracks" intentionally, are the points you're not happy with. Fair enough I suppose.... but I don't remember many folk lining up to chastise Adele for using these techniques to underline emotion in songs for over a decade. Just sayin'! ;)
p.s. I met James Corden before he flew over to inflict himself on y'all in the States. Let's just say I had to publicly reprimand him for the way he spoke to one of my colleagues. He's made a *lot* of money now, so hopefully he'll step off the public stage & mature into being a thoughtful, compassionate, human being. The pessimistic Scot in me doubts it, but my mother raised me Christian, & everyone should be given a chance to improve their behaviour.

I completely agree, I love his voice and I love Adele, I think the way he sings brings out such raw emotion and that’s part of his technique as well, so if he changed his technique some of that would be gone.

He was going to go on tour with Nial, then Covid hit! He was singing on you tube when Nial saw videos and started messaging him, they became great friends! You should watch the road trip they take to Mullengar, Niall hometown! A lot of laughs.

It's cos they're singing in their own accents rather than generic American.
So James Arthur is from my hometown so I don't realise there's words people might not understand lol.
Lewis is the same, he sings in his own accent.

Lewis Capaldi wrote the rousing acoustic song with: When I was five or six, my aunt committed suicide and I just remember recently speaking to my mom about her feelings. About going through that sort of rigmarole in your head of like, you know, "What could I have done here? Could I have done anything?" Peace out.

I understand what Nathan is saying, Lewis's music doesn't do it for me, would prefer him has a stand up comedian, there is a channel on here Diary's of a CEO, they are interviews, mainly about mental health, he has interviewed some of the best, Lewis Capaldi and Liam Payne are really honest, they go into the dark side of their lives, in Lewis's case the depression behind the clown, imposter syndrome, alcohol addiction and what fame does to them, the interviews are long usually over an hour but well worth watching 🙏
