Could you tell me how the gears are laid out with the dct shifter? No idea where each gear is

Man it was almost sureal being in the car. Getting so close to the lead car then hearing Brent ordering up a load more torque for the next clutch kit. My brain was like WHAT IS HAPPENING!
Love the dose on your mate's car. Wish more of my American peers knew about the magic of a proper dose pipe. You either get blowoff or basic flutter over here since most people run just a pod filter or a mesh grill.

Hmmmm i did think about setting up more go pros, but i run out of time to get them edited as it is. Its crazy how much work and extra camera angle adds. Unfortunately no logs from the day. You need the laptop plugged in to log the lamik and Brents ECU for that matter. But its all set pretty tame, she kept running all day and didnt boil over.... she did well. Oh i forgot to mention, i check the ambient temp sensor on the tow car at 2pm and it was 46deg.... it was a killer hot day.
I hope the time between your video's means you're world is getting better all the time. Got to admit I'm missing the days when you were able to visit us on a much more regular basis but I do know it must be a LOT more work than it used to be where you were set up for it. All the best to you Andrew!

100% gonna do this now sometime in the next couple years with my e92 n54 single turbo drift street car. Awesome addition and will be even easier to do on a newer bmw.

Fantastic way to take us along, and show off the 8speed work. The only sore point is the wheels on the M3….lol look like they should be on a mini truck in 1997. But “no care”. “No care” could be its own brand.
Glad you enjoyed it, and yes you are correct about no care. Those wheels are way too big for that car, then to think you are going to bounce it around a drift track going lock to lock...... no care.

What camera are you using?, it's really crisp and the white balance is excellent!
I borrowed a Nikon Z50..... been pretty impressed. May buy a z30 if things go to plan over the next few months. Ohhhh i am running a viltox 13mm lens, which i think is the key to crisp sharp look. Looks so much better before youtube compression too.

finally got the 5k rpm stall converter setup with the full billet internals 8hp75. you need to come out to california and check it out, with how muuch youve helped i feel like i owe you an 8 second pass lol.
Hey Man, i need to see some vids of your thing ripping. How long till you take it down the track?
How does the clutch by wire work. Is it like on/off or is it modulated ?
Its modulated, so the lamik sees a voltage for pedal position from the pedal sensor. You can then calibrate what x pedal postion means to the actual clutch positions in the box. On top of that you can calibrate a delay bewteen the pedal and the clutches in the box to simulate oil flowing from slave to master cylinder. Its properly clever and does genuinely feel like a normal clutch.
What setting did you change to get the turbolamik not to shift while drifting?
Shift command based on pedal position and max rpms shift points. However you do need to be in program mode 7 for hand brakes slides and clutch in to maintain current gear position. Otherwise the lamik see rear wheel speed and freak out.
Is it posible to convert 8hp or dct on m54b30 engine and if its posible does automatic shiftig works normal or its only on pedal? Thanks youre doing amazing job
With a turbo lamik controlling the 8hp its not problem, full auto, or manual mode.

There are quite a few different versions. However adapting the box can be difficult. Worth watching the other videos on the channel about seaps

Yes I know about cantcu. Haven’t used one yet. While they make an 8hp work in a different car. They lack some key features we need for our swaps.

Brent was awesome, the type of driver that is always learning himself and trying to improve. He really liked the trans and has plans on how to use the 8spd even more to his advatange over the older style of boxes.
I hope he makes an n54 swap harness for the e46 to mass produce
I dont think he will. He is using a Haltech and full custom loom. I think the loom was about $2-3K.

@@ZeroTo60Tube LZ's supra seemed to handle the abuse ok. well il wait n see. I can't afford to replace my Trans if it gets destroyed. personally clutch kicks would be nice but not if its going to break anything. the main benefit I'm looking for is to be able to utilize a hydro hand brake.

Probabaly a lot less speed than circuit racing. But definitely much closer to a spin out at any moment.

Did you speed up the video in the opening? Your voice sounds weird and your speech is oddly fast.
I did not, but it may have been due to frame rate changes..... one camera was on 25fps and the other 30fps.... then final export is 30fps. But opening clip is 30fps..... oh and i do always try to talk fast... the video are long enough as it is... lol
Are you able to program in, rev match on downshift (blip) With DBW TB and ign cut on upshifts (popy fkn bastard) with the lamik and aftermarket ecu?
No yet, but soon. Downshift blip is taking a while to be intergrated
