Around the 15 minute mark, you mentioned that there should be a Kirby movie. Not only do I agree with this AND King Dedede deserving an Emmy, but if there ever is a Kirby movie, they better have Dedede's voice actor from the anime reprise his role as the royal penguin!
"Too much pink energy is dangerous." Especially in Kirby's case with what he can do though it's for the best with what he's face throughout his games. Whether standard or the nightmarish Kirby has dealt with many memorable and fun bosses.
You can throw Hulk, the Galactic Empire, Zeon, Decepticons AND Injustice Superman at Kirby and he would STILL WIN!!!!

It's nice that we had three villains in succession who are a technological (Star Dream, who is a cyberpunk advanced supercomputer), then a mystical (Void Termina, who is a god of destruction with magical powers) and then a physical (Fecto Forgo, who is a biopunk organic-based construct made with genetic engineering).
It perfectly shows that advanced technology, occult magic and organic monsters can all pose a significant threat
Now I can't get the imagine of Elfilis getting reincarnated into another world after Kirby Truck-kun killed him out of my head

After fighting Marx in SSBU, the Smashers now know what sort abominations Kirby has to deal with on a daily basis.
Fun fact about morpho: he's the butterfly that lands on you at the end of each game when you take your snooze. This makes him the butterfly of judgement since he judges you and is like "Yep. You can live" but galacta and forgo: not so much
It really does speak volumes on Kirby's child-like innocence. He's not here to judge: he just wants to make friends, sleep in the sun, run around, and eat some dang cake. X3

If there's one thing Kirby was always great were in its boss fights. Whether in its lore, design, battle track or impact on the franchise. Many of these fights are some of my favorites, but I never expected half of your countdown to be filled with Final Boss materials. I never expected King Dedede and Meta Knight to be on those ranks, giving the story and rivalry they have with the pink puff ball and the big evolution they had with each fight along the years, but I'm betting to believe this countdown was one of the hardest you've ever made.
Strange that you didn't include in your Honorable Mentions a Wispy Woods variant, nor Kracko (2 classics).
What I find funny is that some of the best Kirby bosses are in games made after Sakurai stopped getting involved in.
The Computer Virus boss reminds of something Fawful’s Minion once said “pity real computer virus aren’t this funny all they give out are asshole points and nobody wants those”

10. I like the classic RPG elements of Computer Virus and it's neat.
9. Dark Daroach was insane with how fast and hard he hits. No wonder people consider him the actual final boss over Dark Nebula.
8. Masked Dedede from Superstar Ultra has to be my favorite Dedede fight next to the fights in the Forgotten Land.
7. Queen Sectonia has quite the opponent and with a tragic backstory to boot.
6. Miracle Matter was a hell of a boss and I do like how you have fight it on its own terms with the right ability.
5. The best Meta Knight fight hands down, no questions from me.
4. Kirby Planet Robobot is one of my favorite games and the fights against Star Dream was amazing. It also was the centerpiece of one of the most darkest and tragic backstories I have ever heard.
3. Void has to be one of the best bosses I fought in terms of lore. That fact that it is the basically the origin of both Kirby, Dark Matter and Zero is mindblowing. The clash against Astral Birth Void has to be one of the toughest bosses I ever faced next DMC 3's final boss.
2. I expected him to show up near the top. The fight against Magolor is one of the best final bosses out there and for many good reasons.
1. I never would have expected a boss to oversome the gold standard of Magolor and here we are. That one line is going to linger in many minds. Fecto Elfilis was simply phenominal with the backstory, presentation, and gameplay. Kirby and the Forgotten Land has to be an amazing start to Kirby's 3D era and I can't wait to see what Hal Labs has in store for us.

SPOILER ALERT FOR "Kirby & The Forgotten Land"!!!:
I never even played Star Allies [yet] and even I knew we were fucked as soon as I saw that damnable butterfly that's been in EVERY INTRO CUTSCENE! I love how Soul Forgo is bait-and-switched with Morpho Knight, but what I love so much more is the expression on Soul Forgo's face: considering this being possesses psychic powers that surpass even Giygas (Fecto Forgo, in his dying breath, created a whole dreamlike dimension based on his observation of Kirby... this...THING...created a world! Giygas ain't got SHIT on him!), the fact it showed epiphany-level understanding speaks volumes on the unbridled power of chaos & creation this butterfly has access to; I've heard some people say that look it had was one of fear...I don't think that's entirely accurate: it WANTED the butterfly to assimilate it, because it knew that if Kirby were to fight it, Kirby would absolutely win, weaken its power, and it could then take that power for its own so that it could finish Kirby off after regathering its strength in the Ultimate Cup Z. I love how in that arena the bosses appear to be weaker and the music sounds more triumphant & epic, as if to say "His power over the realm of the mind is weakening...finish him before he can complete his transformation and end all of creation!" And Chaos Elfilis...whew! I love how HAL Labs KNEW what the first thing we'd try was: you're presented with orbiting ammunition that you can use to chuck back at it...OF COURSE your first instinct is to go for it! Consistently, the first phase begins with a black hole. Those clever dastards... Also, yeah, "Two Planets Approach The Roche Limit" is a masterful way to say "Two Worlds Collide". I feel validated and confident in saying that Fecto Elfilis and his soul-variant, Chaos Elfilis, are the best bosses, and especially best final bosses, in the Kirby series: Magolor may have lost his crown to it in my eyes, but both still put up a HELL of a good fight! Now...I NEED an Elfilin plushie! NOW!! =^.^=

Fecto elfilis is still my favorite Kirby boss of all time and definitely Kirby final boss. Everything about it from its lore to its fight is just crazy and fantastic

one thing that i think is neat is that the bit with Kirby and the Truck in Forgotten Land is actually a subtle showing of a trope i din't really expect Kirby to use.

This isn't even mentioning how after defeating Chaos Elfilis through all the 3 phases, it turns into particles and one of them returns to Elfilin; finally uniting as one but in good terms.
if you look closely at magalor throughout the fight, specifically at the crown, you can see it's hold over him. at first the design looks like it's almost latching onto him, like a parasite. but then once he enters his soul form, it looks like his body is being held by some sort of hands, implying something else is controlling him. look along the bottom of magalor soul. those 4 little finger like things are just holding him.
Another creepy thing about Magalor Soul is that if you listen very closely to his death scream, he's actually uttering Kirby's name in despair
i feel like with every kirby game the bosses get more and more epic and creepy! how the hell will they top THIS!!?

I love all the picks, so I'm going to list my favourites from the spin-off games.
Drawcia, from Canvas Curse/Power Paintbrush. The fact that this boss is powerful enough to require direct player intervention aside, she can only be hurt by stunning her by reflecting her own attacks against her. She can also summon more witches, bounce and dash around and even create waves of enemies and spikes. In fact, she's the one who made every world boss in the game. But once you help Kirby deplete her health bar, she transforms into a monstrosity called Drawcia Soul and the music becomes a cacophony as if to indicate just how alien this monster is. She uses several attacks that have become staples, like bouncing from the background into the arena, turning into a ball of flames and teleporting followed by a cutter barrage. She also has her own trick: shooting out one-eyed minions that you need to tap quickly to deflect them and deal damage to her or they'll use one of three different attacks depending on their colour. You can also tap Drawcia Soul directly whenever she teleports into the arena to hurt her slightly until you stun her so Kirby can deal more damage, making this a phase where you need to be more active.
Necrodeus, from Mass Attack. All of his attacks are insta-kills, which would be a pain in a mainline Kirby game, but thanks to his efforts to weaken Kirby you have ten at once. It's a fairly long battle that starts with you breaking the hand's protection, then the hands and finally the eye inside his mouth. The final phase has him breaking the arena so the fight works like the space level.
Parallel Nightmare from Super Kirby Clash. His first fight is a fairly accurate adaptation of the original Nightmare fight, but future fights include moves from Strato Patrol EOS to make it even more fun. Bonus points for using Nightmare's japanese voice actor from the anime!

Here's my top ten Kirby bosses with explanations + my perspective. NOTE: This will be EXTREMELY long, so you have been warned & I'll have to split this into two posts.
10. Dark Mind. Pretty much the Mirror world's equivalent to Zero. Even without the lore backing it, this fight is long with over 4 phases & tests your aim with both star spitting & abilities. The last phase being a japanese shooter on top of having kickass music puts it here. He wont go up because he's a bland villain.
9. Marx Soul - After the brutal gauntlet that is KSSU's True Arena, you fight a powered up backstabber in Marx Soul. The area you engage him in being this void-like place in space helps the atmosphere. His distorted voice & very damaging attack patterns are all nice improvements over the original. He gets this far for being the base foundation of the most recent Kirby bosses in terms of attack pattern alteration. Bonus points for his death animation & high pitched scream. He gets wrecked HARD & both let you know it.
8. Zero (Kirby's Dreamland 3) - WOW. This fight is an efficient reward for people who took the time to help spread kindness & assistance across popstar to get that 100%. Your deeds condense into the Love-Love Stick, the form of admiration from numerous creatures across popstar, helping you banish the Dark Matter invasion. After making a Dark Matter look like child's play, the big cheese Zero comes out to personally dispose of you, & MAN is this fight intense. Firstly, despite the first phase being a huge eye, this guy has HUGE defense, rivaling the hp of modern soul kirby bosses. Aside from half of 1 segment being deleted in one love-love stick projectile at the start, the rest of his hp in this phase requires 8 hits to take half of a segment away, which is over 100 shots (very impressive). Meanwhile this eldrich horror is spawning dark matterlets at you, shooting blood at you, & attempting to ram you with its massive body while playing an eerie rave fast-paced track of desperation for control of popstar. Then, as if this monster wasnt already a 1-hit iconic Kirby abomination, he separates his own eye from his body, blood being shown on-screen and ALL. Afterwards, he attempts to ram you with his eye, only to be shot down into a bloody oblivion. This fight gets here for shock value, being a massive increase in difficulty, a proper reward (or horror) for those people who went the extra mile to 100% the game, & a massive jump in Kirby atmosphere & lore implications behind what the hell Zero or Dark Matter even is. The fight isn't polarizing like Dark matter's 2nd phase in Dreamland 2 either, it's just two overpowered creatures fighting to determine the fate of popstar in a fair, but challenging way. Bonus points for being a hell of a worthy final foes in the arena as well. Zero has has more personality then the others above him (even though he's mute). He took over popstar in an instant & corrupted the whole planet. He learned from his mistake of trying to send lesser Dark Matters to the planet alone & decided to just invite himself over & make demon time. He had a plan & executed it perfectly. The only time he started losing was when kirby started shooting at him directly.
7. Masked DDD (Kirby Super Star Ultra) - Pretty Much what you said Quarter Guy. The only reason why he's lower is because there's characters who have more development on-screen than his royal nemesis. The music is iconic as always.
6. Drawcia - As a character she has the most lore out of every Kirby side-game character & her lore ties to characters that exist in canon. The tragic story of a painting that was made out of passion, only to be slowed hated over a period of time by the artist that made her. She was separated from her siblings (Paintra, Vivdria, Claycia, & possibly Elline) caused her to go insane from sadness, being alone, & not being able to see her sisters again. Her being abandoned didnt make her case better either. When she got out of her painting, she did the one thing she knew of, painting a world to comfort her & fill her loneliness with artistic creativity. Unfortunately, this happened on popstar where kirby would invariably defeat her, but not without her giving us an artistic presentation to remember! Her first phase has an incredible organ blaring throughout the battle, adding a huge amount of sober elegance to the encounter. The only thing she's vulnerable to it the very paint she used to craft the world of comfort she created. In her second phase, in her struggle to avoid being imprisoned back in her painting, she culminates all the paint she's used to alter popstar onto her spirit, creating Drawcia Soul. She attacks wildly, mercilessly, & has forgoed any elegance she once had, only revealing a screeching, panicking, desperate soul frantically bouncing around, bending elements, & turning her paint into whatever she deems will kill Kirby. All this JUST to avoid being imprisoned again. All the while, The OST booming in the speakers were made from a MIDI that inspires fear of attempting to find our just what the hell Drawcia even is anymore during all of her chaotic attack patterns that would legit be the base foundation of pretty much EVERY soul boss to come out after her. She gets this high for essentially being a painting that you admire more & more as time goes on & she embodies that statement I believe in my opinion.
5. Magolor - Marx on crack. He was built up as a good natured guy trying to stop an ancient dragon from attaining ultimate power, when in reality, he was either being influenced by the Master Crown's influence or he wanted the power all to his own (I love how the series keeps this aspect of it vague despite long-term fans knowing of Dark Matter's brainwashing abilities & the extra mode pause screen for Magolor soul saying he was possessed by the power of the master crown). The betrayal HURT & made players invested in stopping him even though you re-built the ship he stole. The shooter segment helped elevate the atmosphere of the struggle against him. The fight with Magolor itself is magnificent. The music initially builds up to a kickass remix of Hyper Zone from KDL3, then transitions halfway through to a Dark Star theme remix from Kirby 64, then into 02's theme, hinting at Dark Matter's influence in the coming future. After breaking his last defense with your super abilities, you cut him down with one of the biggest swords in gaming (that is have seen at least). But it's not over, The Crown takes the opportunity to invert his body in a symbolic power play. It reconstitutes his torso & head, with the "wings" as his body, his head inverted upside down, & the crown placing itself on around his neck. This indicates the crown (& by extension Dark Matter) was "wearing" him all along (& the crown's spike-tipped extensions have wrapped around his head, preventing itself from ever being removed safely without violence). CROWNED Is just an amazing boss theme, combining Magolor's theme, The main title theme, & Green Green's in a surprise final twist about Magolor's evil deeds over the course of the game being the gateway for Dark Matter to momentarily return to show long-term fans that it's FAR from over. My only complaint is that the boss has too many long telegraphs for his attacks (but the sheer variety & spectacle are enough to mitigate this issue).
4. Sectonia - A fair queen who got corrupted by the Mirror World mirror. She thought true beauty was control, so she traded her lover, her kingdom, her sanity, & even her soul to achieve this for a time. But every beautiful flower must wilt sooner of later. While she bloomed at her peak, she could slice, dice, shoot massive lasers, instakill Kirby by making him fall into a pit, skewer him with vines, & then use previous soul boss attacks in her second phase soul form. She managed to survive being hit directly by her own laser attack by snatching 4 miracle fruits, which is an impressive feat. FLOWERED is the most ethereally elegant track that captures the beauty (control she had) she exuded, even for just small amount of time. Even in her tragic death where she had to be put down because she forgot who she was, she died by exploding into a beautiful array of blue petals. Sectonia gets this high for taking dark Kirby lore & pushing all of the darkest concepts that required lore digging up to the forefront. Her story is easily understood & she dies a freaking brutal death without any filter. She represents a much more psychologically dark & mature turn the series would do.
3. Morpho Knight (Both Star Allies & Forgotten Land) - The Butterfly gets my vote as the most disrespectful creature i have seen a Kirby character get without vocalizing a single word. Want to see me usurp the extra mode's final boss not once, but twice? Check. What to see me become canon & make much of the stuff we thought was non-canon canon over a decade ago? Check. Want to see my Star Allies OST combine Galacta Knight's theme with the grace, engima & finesse of that butterfly we've seen back as early as Return To Dreamland & remix numerous other themes just for fanservice? Check. Want to see me rock MK's Beta design better than he can? Check. Want to see me have death & rebirth motifs littered in my design so I can come back as much as I want? Check. Want to see me bestow one of the most broken abilities to Kirby ever? Check. This character has SO much swagger with such little screen time, yet he's managed to flutter into the heart of many fans, especially with Forgotten Land. MK's Forgotten Land fight was going to be here, but Morpho Knight outdid him slightly.
2. Star Dream - This thins toke the dark lore Queen Sectonia left in the forefront of the Kirby series & dialed it up to 20. This machine was built by Haltman, but after an accident, he gave his everything to the "company" (star dream). The machine took full advantage of Haltman's grief. It's implied that the machine was erasing parts of his memory of Susanna, so when she found her way back to him, he wouldnt remember her. Near the end of the journey, it revealed that organic life-forms were a hinderance to the company goal "prosperity" (which is converting organic life into fuel/food for itself). The finale is one of Kirby's greatest moments. It makes a starfox segment with a boss that has +3 phases, over 40 attack patterns, insane musical genius, dark as hell lore that only Star allies & Forgotten Land can even compete with. The True Arena fight gets a shit ton of props for revealing that Star Dream wasnt a faulty machine, it was just an insatiable robotic black hole that destroys all organic life it comes across, just like how it broke Haltman's family, simply because it wanted to. It wasnt even grateful for Haltman's help.
1. I know I am cheating, but I do not care. Void Termina (all forms)/Fecto Forgo's many transformations (including Fecto & Chaos Elfilis). Both bring some of the BIGGEST lore dumps the series has ever seen at worst, AT WORST. At their best, they are some of the most well designed Kirby fights & show the ugly side of both the Ancients & Jambastions while also showing how Kirby can, has, & will correct the mistakes that they have unfortunately weaved into his adventures thus far.
*Void Termina* being another family member (or Kirby), that has has its full power & ability to chose its fate ripped from it, until the very end of the game where it's revealed to be remorseful of its current life being forced to live out a vengeful cult leader's wish (even though kirby gives him & the mage sisters a good ending) & being forced to "die" adds a whole other layer of complexity to previous Dark Matter race encounters throughout the series. The music that plays when fighting Void Termina is a true god-tier musical symphony. It combines the Song of Supplication (a remix of the victory theme) & Green Green's to create something imposing, impactful, & memorable. The devs even managed to remix it 5 times in the last encounter. Being able to save Void from his destructive ways was also tearjerkingly bittersweet. You free him from his prison by "killing" him, but you give him what he truly desired, which was freedom.
*Elfilin* pretty much goes through what a recovering addict does when guilt for your actions hit you hard. He wants to help Kirby because he knows he hold partial responsibility for whats going on in The Forgotten Land (even if he did want to admit this to Kirby, it's still manipulation). When Elfilin is forcibly fused back into Fecto Forgo, it's pretty clear that the creature who dominates the body & mind are Fecto-Forgo. Elfilin is treated as an accessory to keep his powers under his control, any compassion & rationality he could have is overshadowed by his insatiable hunger to assimilate. However, after receiving enough damage, Elfilin is seen wanting to forcibly separate, but cant do it alone. It's a metaphor for how an addict (or food addict) stopped overeating, then relapsed back into it, only to regret it shortly after, & desire self-correction. Fecto-Forgo couldnt fathom why Elfilin chooses Kirby over him, after all, isn't he the half at the top of the food chain despite being caught, broken, traumatized, & locked up for 30 years at least by a race of ancients that have long left it alone? It's half correct. Think about it. Fecto Forgo might be the physical embodiment of evolution, but Elfilin is the lesser seen kind of evolution. The kind that involves the mind. Elfilin is the part of Fecto Forgo that is wishes weren't true about him. That he actually NEEDS the "weaker" half of himself to be complete & evolve in a meaningful way that isn't just acting like a hungry animal with an insatiable need to "evolve" (which is just consuming wildlife without any restraint or reason). This is why Fecto Forgo tried so hard to get rid of Kirby despite himself showing respect to Kirby for being the only creature to push him to the very limit, not just physically, but psychologically as well. Take the introduction screens for instance. When Fecto-Elfilis is firstly introduced, it reconstitutes itself while airborne & looks down at Kirby as though he's just a small nuisance. In Ultimate Cup Z, he drops down to Kirby's level, before unfurling his wings to reveal his title, almost as though he understands how worthy Kirby is (begrudgingly) for pushing him into a corner like this & forcing him to fight for his title of the apex predator of the forgotten land. This is why when his soul losses to Kirby & gets fractured, he finally evolved psychologically. He willingly returns to his other half with no regrets. It's like he figured out that kirby fighting him was telling him that there's more to life than just consuming life. & if the good half sees that, why cant he? It's a great way of telling a story about an abused animal that, while evolved through the assimilation of others, Fecto-Elfilis didnt truly "evolve" until both halves of it were pushed into struggles where assimilation wasnt the 100% response like it has always been. You need an inspiration/muse. Kirby was exactly that for both of them, it just took Fecto-Forgo longer to realize it, but accepting his defeat & becoming whole with Elfilin willingly speaks volumes because that means he no longer views his compassion as something that needs to be locked away or something that obstructs his evolution into something greater.
My favorite is definitely magalor, it was not only a cool twists but both of his designs and attacks look awesome, not to mention it’s a fun fight. Then there’s his themes, under my control is really good but crowned is legendary. The rendition of crowned they played at the 30th anniversary music fest made me tear up a little
I knew Elfilis was going to be on the #1 spot on this list. His battle did everything right!

It's about time we got a top 10 Kirby Bosses countdown. I've been waiting for one for years and it delivered. Kirby has some crazy and awesome bosses. The top 3 are definitely earned. Music for a lot of bosses are just fantastic, like CROWNED, Void Termina's Suite (that's how I call it), Two Planets Approach The Roche Limit, Roar of Dedede, Dedede's Royal Payback, Sullied Grace, Meta Knight, Sword Of The Surviving Guardian and Dededestroyer Z to name some of the highlights of the boss music. Now to wait for a top 10 Worst Kirby Bosses.

This was awesome to watch although if I probably would have put Phantom Forgo Dedede on my list of favorite Kirby bosses mostly because of how awesome and difficult it really is (especially if your doing it without copy abilitys as I found out the hard way doing the No-Hit video for that fight) so yeah anyway keep being awesome QG!👍

It's been a while, but some Quarter Guy's always good in the morning. Especially when the topic is Kirby. Forgotten Land is definitely a winner. I dunno what to add. Still, though Elfilis was the epic battle worthy of Final Boss for sure, i will always love how Fecto Forgo is this game's wake up call reminding the player what the Kirby series's endgames truly are all about. Assuming the intro to that whole thing didn't convince one yet.

For the meta Knight's opening on phase 2 in forgotten land, that's not earth bending, he summoned a tornado to lift up all those stones (I guess you can say he's an air bender), this is a reference to 2 attacks, the first and most obvious one is to star allies where he does the same thing and his attack he started using in revenge of meta Knight where he plunge his sword into the ground to create a tornado

Only played Kirby 64 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but I see Kirby and the Forgotten Land as one of the best game with the greatest boss line ups. Love the fight against Meta Knight and Fecto and Chaos Elfilis (Chaos Elfilis was a really tough boss, but once I used Morpho Kirby it was much more easier). Also love the boss fight against King Dedede and Masked Dedede. But I think my favorite boss from the game is Morpho Knight

The Kirby franchise is one of my favorite Nintendo franchise of all time, right next to Mario, Pokémon, Splatoon and Smash Bros! If it wasn’t for the Kirby anime I watched as a child, I wouldn’t be a Nintendo fan now.

You know, now that Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe has managed to make waves, I wonder where Magolor would be ranked now considering how much harder the True Arena in that remake made Magolor Soul.
One of my personal favorites will always be Shadow Dedede from Triple Deluxe. It's basically the Masked Dedede fight from the same game but you're playing as Dedede himself and that awesome remix is playing throughout the entire fight rather than only the second phase, so that automatically makes it a better fight

I think the earth thing was due to the Jamba Hearts as that awakened that power that was actually hidden and now free of the influence of it can use it freely.

I had just recently gone through the main story of Forgotten Land, and I can safely say that QG is right on the money when it comes to the two entries on his list from that game.
Currently going through the post-game worlds right now.
Now I only wish I had bothered to get Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot back in the day. Return to Dream Land I can get with the Deluxe version on Switch as well as Star Allies.
