Have you trained with the Dance Theater of Harlem, or Maria Tallchief, or any professional dance company? Well Homer Hans Bryant, their instructor has. So shut up with all your negativity.
I'm a trained ballet dancer...it takes YEARS to perfect proper technique in order to go on pointe. These people are FAR from trained in proper technique..even further away from being pointe ready. This looks so unprofessional. It is a disgrace to call this ballet...not even close. If these people were on stage to perform with trained ballet dancers..they would be out of their league...overwhelmingly so.
It's interesting but I just can't watch this without thinking of all the horrible ankle injuries they are setting themselves up for. If you're going to go up on pointe you need to do it properly.
Hiplet sounds like a cool concept! What's not cool is how these ladies are destroying their ankles. If this is what hiplet is, then it needs to stop right now. Please don't encourage young dancers to try this stuff at home! (I know my teacher would tell me to never be trying these tricks en pointe.)
"It's called hiplet" or is it called cultural appropriation? Double standards. Ps: i really don't care, for me its all part of a cultural exchange, which is a beautiful thing.
They are not claiming they created ballet ffs. In interviews they acknowledge the origins to be european. Educate yourself on cultural appropriation, please.
helloe ankle and foot arthritis... most of them aren't even on their box. That's an injury waiting to happen.

You can 100% tell that they aren't on their box, it's not negativity it's just the truth. An injury will happen.
hanalore j not negativity, just the truth. They aren't technical enough.

How?
......
So what, you sound like you own it!!.
cultural appropriation?
Random Person No.
how is it not?
Random Person what culture are they appropriating exactly ??? white culture ??? thats not how it works honey
Why not?
If black culture can be appropriated, so can white culture. You'll have to do better than that.
Because of COURSE! When ballet was first created, it wasn’t criticized AT ALLLLLL
Clumsy and dangerous mess...
Rain Drop excuse you I go to this dance school
Looks pretty stupid.
