Boss: General Tsao | Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves 100% Walkthrough "19/31" (No Commentary)

- In this part, we complete a special mission after Day 1 of the China Operation.
Mission: Laptop Retrieval
Difficulty: 5/10
Characters: Bentley, Sly
The goal of this mission is to get the Laptop back. We start as Bentley and break into General Tsao's Palace. Once inside we quickly find his computer and hack it to get information. Next as Sly we team up with the Guru and, using the Guru's Dreamtime abilities, cross through the sky on various objects and enemies. Once across we crawl through a hole and end up in a bamboo stalk filled arena with General Tsao. We defeat him by jumping to get across the area, then using our double jump to change directions while in mid-air. After we defeat him, we chase after him beneath the bamboo and fight him again on the surface. To defeat the General here, we simply attack when he's open, and hit him twice before jumping away when he blocks.(If you keep rushing him attack aggressively, you can prevent him from summoning his hands and dragons, just make sure to back off for a moment when he blocks to avoid his spin attack.) Once the General is defeated, we get the Laptop back and complete the mission. - Hry
Beating that chicken was the hardest thing about being a 6 year old. Used to love this game.

This is the first time an antagonist broke into the safe house and took something since Jean Bison.
Technically, it wasn't Jean Bison himself that raided the Cooper Gang hideout, but his goons.

To this day, I wonder how did he find their safe house. I mean Jean Bison was one thing, but here this is still something I still wonder

That's a pot calling the kettle black, considering he threw away his mortal body for metal limbs and organs and a hate fueled immortality while also wanting to be the best thief, even going so far as to maim or kill any member of the Cooper line and/or anyone that associated with the Coopers.
I love how you get 0 damage fighting Tsao, yet i get my butt handed to me everytime.

General Tsao reminds me of Jessebelle from Pokémon: both tried to force someone to marry them (in Tsao's case, Jing King and in Jessebelle's case, James). One major difference is that James' parents liked Jessebelle whereas the Panda King disliked Tsao.
I remember back in the day the summoning of those hands from the ground creeped me out. Still does!

General Tsao is without a doubt the darkest and most evil villain in Sly ever
That dark ground magic is really dark & badass. I love the supernatural stuff in Sly 1-3. (Canon Sly)

@@moneylover318 first of all, the hate chip was the fundamental part of Clockwerk that keept ALL his pieces at Life, but in sly 2 he got destroyed, so as his whole Body.
Sly 4 they have found an eye of clcokwerk or something (that the new devs bring him back for later Games). This isn't only a plothole, even if it would make sense, it should have been mentioned in a cutscene, and second sly would have tried to destroy it by all costs, and Not keep it as Accessoire 🤦♂️
Also, the sly Franchise can't be saved, since sly 4 COMPLETELY destroyed the characters with one dimensional Character writing, with off-character writing. All the Charme what made the original trillogy good, were the good written Characters. Sly 4 remains a fan Fiction, and Everything after that. I'm not even want a next sly even if it's from sucker punch, Because sly 3 ended the Characters in a perfect way. Sly's Development is Essential Because he realized trhought his near death Experience & Dr. M's & his father past that having a thief group as real friends is an unique thing to have + someone like camelita (even thou sly "lost" his Memory the fact sly wasn't jailed is a bad Plot convinience, but at least it had a Porpose and sly 3 got rushed from sony as well) + he accomplished Everything for his ancestors legacy. Redemption for his Father against the fiendish Five, re-builded the thievius raccoonus, made sure clockwerk will never come back again for his children, found the cooper vault & succeeded the cooper Trial. He accomplished Everything he wanted too + found a greater Porpose in Life, what is a great Message. He let go, He moved on, and, He evolved. Of Course there are much better fan Fictions than sly 4 who explained how sly could come back for Example that camilita gets kidnapped what would make sense to bring back the gang, but tbh all this feels so forced Because People just can't let go 🤷♂️
Neverthelss I can understand the sly die hard fans who know the trillogy is the canon and even try to fix this mess of sly 4.

Fun fact: to beat Tsao super easy (in three hits), use knockout dive on him, and time a silent obliteration as soon as you get him in the air. A three button combo that I just did by accident by misclicking LOL.

Took me a few tries when I played the first part of this fight.
I've found out that doing leveled-up push attacks makes this battle a lot easier, as I'm pretty sure he can't block level 2 or 3 pushes

Rik Slendebroek You could shrink her with Bentley and hit her when she is small. After that she will lay down on the ground defeated
shrinking her as Bently you can actually "kill" her, she doesn't disappear like most enemies and will stay on the ground until you reset her by going into a building and coming back out

Clockwerk is a beast driven by some mysterious hatred for the Cooper line. It's a case of thief line vs thief line, and Sly simply threw tat back to tit for the sake of reclaiming his family heirloom.
However, Sly being all about chivalry and style in his thievery, it would be natural for him to despise someone like Tsao for his blatant misogyny, especially with Sly having had a capable police woman like Carmelita on his tail for so long

If he had live for thousands of years and commit crime after heinous crimes while also switching his body parts and organs made of flesh and blood for machine parts and mechanized organs and keep that attitude, then he'd be worse than Clockwerk.

That's like falling into water basically in certain areas only will that apply. If I recall if you die from falling a death animation plays with Sly apparently doing a shrug before he falls for instance. For the drowning animation man Murray's is funny basically he flips upside down doing a funny groan in the process
