I've been looking for a video that both explains NFTs without seeing them as either the best or worst thing! Thanks for sharing a nuanced viewpoint on a topic that the media portrays as black or white!
I can't tell if this is a serious question
Thank you for putting this together.
It's always a good day when rey uploads a video 😎
I’d love to show this to some art students. Great job.
Love ya Rey! Stay awesome! Loved the cut scene :P
This was really informative, thanks for all to work you put into this.
The Bots are strong on this topic :) great video, I leaned a lot. Thanks.
Would this be ok for like photography work? or is it only other kinds of physical media? Also, please make this your intro theme, so you can definitely write it off as a business expense! It's creepy and vibey and awesome!
First of all 💜🎶 second, thank you for putting this together and sharing how this process really felt for you
im so excited for the ep to drop
Thank you for making this video, the NFT creation and hosting part was great, but the second half when you discussed everything else that people don't think about was incredible. Can't wait for your next video. Hope you are staying safe!
So cool thanks for making this video. From my understanding the NFT you pay for a public key like there are CA for SSL
I'd love to see a way to prevent against an NFT claim steal. Us artists on Twitter are having our art claimed by random accounts opening NFTs and stealing the art for monetary purposes.
love your videos. keep it up
Your video was very insightful regarding the creation of NFT's. Thank you for sharing your experience. I loved the binaural beats on your music video.
Hey Rey! I need more of your videos!
YOU GOT A DOTS TO LINES TATTOOOOO?????
I like you even more now.
You Rock Girl, live your life by your rules, Love you too
Thanks for your insight and prospective I was curious on the process. though I am not an artist I enjoy others work and have friends that spend hours making creations. I also have friends who are crypto day traders and it can be just as exciting and terrifying as stocks, its gambling at its finest. thank you for sharing your piece with us. its was interesting to say the least as it gave the anxiety (i call him bob) a stir. at one point I thought a jump scare was going to occur :) very intriguing though and makes me want to see more of your work.
Omg thank you so much. This was SO helpful. I do have questions though about what tending to a cryptocurrency portfolio for the rest of forever looks like
I’ve always had the very same questions that you’ve had during this video about crypto and NFT’s. And I came to the same conclusion as you did with concern about the legitimacy of it all and if it really would be really worth putting all my time figuring it all out just to get the very small possibly to get rich quick. For me I just want to make enough to live off from the things that I love to do whilst being in somewhat in control of people know about me. That is all.
Last bit. Love the art work. And would love to be able to find your music somewhere as I would love to be able to re-listen to your stuff on the go.
Edit: Found it. Love it. Looping it. 😁
Thank you Rey, this was a fantastic view of NFTs, and even cryptocurrency, for folks that are new or completely ignorant of them (like me).
tx watson had an interesting tiktok about nfts basically being a capitalist attempt to make scarcity work for information, which in the age of the internet, is usually infinitely reproducible at low cost. It seems to be an open question whether it makes sense to try and make data scarce by attaching a token to it, but i say as long as capitalism isnt going away anytime soon, its a reasonably good attempt to make digital art have some of the same crazy valuations as physical art. plus, at least this time the artists can actually benefit from the trading of their art.. some artists live their lives in poverty and die before people start buying and selling their art for millions of dollars.
does anyone know where we can find their music??? I only see one of their songs on youtube
Also I’ve realized over the years that I have this phobia of/general discomfort with AI generated art. The video at the end was only mildly disturbing to me though which is good i think!! I was wondering if this is a phobia you’ve heard of before. I think it has something to do with the uncanny valley maybe? And i was wondering if you had any advice on how I can begin to get over it or avoid seeing it altogether bc I have a feeling I’ll be exposed to much more AI art in the future.
I loved this video, you're very honest and brave for doing it! I thought I was the only one who thought this new crypto world was a pain in the ass lol
This whole thing I was just trying to find where I could buy your work, but you burned the token?
ngl it kinda sounds like my tummy
Hiii so nice
The people who didnt watch past the outro are tilted right now
I wonder if rich people will use NFT in the same way as physical art. Insuring buying selling and lending of the art for tax breaks or laundering money.
I totally thought this title was about nftables
Now sell it for 1 million 👀
I feel like NFTs are a by product of this digital age of Capitalism and monetizing every aspect of what you do and as a result it creates this artificial sense of value that is intrinsically linked to ones notoriety.
We live in a society that tells us the only way to be successful is to strive for notoriety and being able to make money off your name alone.
It's scary because it is getting to the point where individuality and privacy is almost non-existent.
Your worth is linked to how much the collective likes you and this sets a scary precedent that while cool on the surface can ruin people's livelihood.
cryptocurrency is also a detriment to the environment...
