This song helped me through my husband's journey with Brain Cancer. It was my sanity song.... The diagnosis was like this huge mountain before us, looming larger by the day, seeing the darkness in my fate. Sadly GBM is terminal. When he was on hospice, I begged for guidance as to how to deal with his impending death. Show me the footholds from which to climb. After his death trying to deal with the trauma brain cancer inflicts upon the person and their loved ones was like a shadow I needed to be further and further away. I'd listen to this song all the time just to find some inspiration, and also to cry to and release some stress and know that I'd be ok eventually. It will always mean so much to me!! The mountain is far behind me now, the shadow has gotten smaller and smaller day after day....
I love how much significance you got out of this song. My condolences for your loss and my best wishes for your continued recovery and strong future. :)

This song saved me from myself. It got me through the darkest period of my life and after all this time it is still to me the greatest song written . I will have this tattooed on me to remind me everyday and appreciate these men for how they saved me and my family ! Its shadow gets smaller day after day

I know it's a joke, but as a person living in a very montainous area in the middle of nowhere all I can say it sucks sometimes. There are only montains who make entire village live in much colder temperature and have a sun much rarer than it's supossed to be, like god damn, as much as I love my village I wish the mountains were lower so the sun might actually give me a sunburn not "Arrivederci, baby" right after I see it.

This songs means so much to me and didn't even realize it till it shed true meaning....I was super depressed, basically homeless and couch surfing...lost my girl my job and was being an addict/alcoholic and then I moved in with some friends out of the south to Colorado and the mountains truly cured my soul and now I've got a great job beautiful home in the mountains and healthy again...thanks Foals, I was foaling up for a min and y'all basically saved me.
