    I love watching you create these repair pieces, I build models and can shape Plastic fairly well but you chop bend and cut it as if it was cardboard - wonderful to watch

    A real pleasure to watch a true craftsman at work. You make it look so easy, when clearly it isn’t. Keep up the content please 👍

    I REALLY wish this video has been out a year ago when I had to do this. Complete novice at sheet metal work and figuring this piece out was so hard. Seeing the process in this vid has taught me a lot. In the end my method wasn't too far from this but you made it look a lot easier!

    This has to one of the best Works of Art you guys have done to date. There is no way a reasonable amateur could get anywhere near what you have produced here and get it to fit first time. I am just so impressed with the skill level and the inventiveness displayed here. Looking forward to watch what you do with the sill end plate as it will involve not just the end plate fabrication but also replacing the framework that has rusted away to allow it to be connected to the car. I assume you will not buy a Mazda Sill End Plate.
    Just Magic!

      Thank you Eddie. Hopfully they won't be too bad but if they are then they will be replaced, yes we will be making our own :)

    Hi! Was living in Russia, this welding procedures are a well known thing with our climate and detergents that the government use to cover the roads in winter. I am surprised that MX-5 rust that much, eventhough we always joked that all Japanese cars would outlast humans if they weren't so poorly protected from corrosion. I owned a vw golf 4, it had 25 years and 300000 in the most aggressive region in Moscow, and sold it with a tiny rust spots on the front wing. Makes you wanna think..

      @yorkshirecarrestoration  Před rokem +2

      Hi Ryan. Yes its due to heat transfer, too much heat would warp the panel :)
