I have the mountune cutback similar to cobb got sound suppression chamber for cabin tbh it actually makes it louder In a way because you hear all that noise even with the windows up I like it nice sound louder than you think 😆

Just wondering why you went with the cat back as opposed to the high flow system? I think I saw your plate said Cali, so I'm assuming it's an emissions issue? Thinking of purchasing one or the other for my ST, currently stationed in England and have to undergo emissions testing every year.

+Nick Scanlon well I either wanted Cobb, Borla, or cpe. And they were all catback so a high flow wasn't on my radar. And I chose the Cobb because I found it 1 week old and $250 cheaper the new on Craigslist so I had to but it! Otherwise I would have went borla. Cpe is outrageously overpriced

Are you running the Cobb ots tune on your accessport? And if so are you having any issues with it? I have a few friends that have switched off of it recently.

I can do one for you- this is assuming you have the st3 10 speaker Sony package: if you're an audiophile you'll hate it and want to change it. then you'll realize what a massive PITA changing everything is because today's cars have so much digital integration. If you aren't an audiophile and your only previous comparison is other stock radios you'll think it's great. review done and it didn't take 8 minutes of your life lol.

Drove from WA to Oregon yesterday to the Cobb HQ there to look at the turbo back exhaust. There was a massive drone when driving at lower Rpms is that how it is inside the car with the catback?
+Tanner H So yesterday i met some guy with stage3 focus st and he had the turbo back exhaust and it did sound louder than my car. I only listened to his revs so i dont know if the turbo back will have more drone. But like i said just the catback there is no drone at low rpms. Only when you give it gas and pick up quick

Back pressure is unnecessary with a turbo car, if anything it'll restrict breathing of the engine itself

Manchu's Tech yeah it’s an aftermarket bov. That’s not what the stock car sounds like. That bov sounds like shit. Changing charge pipes and putting an HKS sounds much better.

But if there cat back, Doesent the Original Zaust unbolt from the cat ? And the New one Bolt on to the cat? That's how all of my others have been , I'm new to this car I picking it next week , so not really had a chance to look under the chassis
+nasty nick yea the cat back loops through the rear suspension. So the ONLY way to get the cat back off is cut it. Or take apart your whole rear suspension install the exhaust then put it back together. I chose the easy way

Some older guy had it on his car for a week but his wife hated it so he put up on Craigslist. I bought a 2 week old cobb exhaust for 500 (: straight deal!

+louis rickard-ford as soon as I got enough extra money I went stage one and exhaust. But I took my car to the dealership 2 times already and they have never bothered me about my after market parts. Just off something messes up. Remove any trace of after market parts before heading to the dealership and always Uninstall your accessport before evert going

+Thomas Whitmore ohhhh my bad dude. I only used one jack! It was a big jack and I lifted the car really high up so I could fit underneath. You'll need big ass jack a good support. I used 2 jack stands on both sides behind the front wheels

I've been in the market for an exhaust for my focus your reply would be appreciated. I'm looking for something that is adult like and not something like a Honda Civic tin can. I wanna know if this catback has a lot of drone when just cruising around at 2-2300 rpm. I want something that is drone free cruising around but comes alive when I get on it. Your reply would be greatly appreciated and helpful thank you!
at 2k to 3k. it sounds stock af with the windows up. so I think this might be the one you want ha. and 4 to 5k. that's when you get your noise. last night after work I couldn't even tell I had after market exhaust because I was shifting at 2500rpm trying to save gas lol

but my buddy told me mbrp is even quieter with a nice deep sound but don't quote me on that. and also I've only noticed the drone on the free way at 5th gear going up hills. 6th gear quiets it pretty well

+Koriginal ST the Cobb fitment is the most professional as the mbrp is a bunch of pieces the Cobb bolts together like no other system for the car. Gonna take your word for it and go with this exhaust over that one for quality reasons as price is not an issue. Just want someone's opinion that lives with it as a daily driver. I want noise as I said but when cruising I want to be able to lay off and have no drone and if this is fits the description I think it may be the exhaust for me.
